  • i haer this music when chozo disapeard in metroid series phazon and many others killed chozo including space pirates

  • Humans are disappearing.

    Also, all racist.

  • @wongdor You were trying to bring a 13 inch serrated blade into a public shuttle.

  • Whenever I hear this I feel so triumphant. I tried to kill Jack over and over again, and when I finally succeeded this song played when Shepard was pretending to mourn her.

You should have been nicer, Jack.

  • i need this soundtrack

  • I could only see "Humans are" in the thumbnail, and I immediatly thought "you humans are all racist!"

  • meant to say huge krogan fan

  • 2 people are reapers

  • Bloody hell, He got blasted to shreds.

Yet his sheer badassitude made Cerberus revive him.

  • A bit Resident Evil ishh

  • Shepard! Shepard, what's happening? Shepard?! SHEPAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARD!

  • GOD DAMMIT JOKER :@ You spaced my ass!

  • I'm Commander Shepard and this song brings me to tears.

  • This song is sad. :(

Reminds me of my jaw opened, watching Shepherd float away, suffocated.

Also, these death beginnings, like the one on Mass Effect 2, also was featured in Fallout New Vegas! I just hope, the industry won't over-use it.

  • i just want the piano tone that you here when you die in the beginning

  • @xXLocomotiveXx I know. That has got to be the most touching piano refrain ever. :(

  • the single piano note when shepard fell down to the planet made me shed a gamer tear

  • omg i was looking for this piano song for ages ! it's bit repetitive but it's still awesome

  • It's actually accepted by Bioware that at least Tali´s face will be revealed (sorry for spoiler :) )

  • @TheNoxice

    ...No it wasn't.

  • Damn, the part where the piano plays is so powerful.

  • One person died while attempting the suicide mission.

  • This song plays when someone dies. This is just so...moving. I felt something stir in my soul when it began.

  • @LastODSTStanding and that someone.... was shepard.

  • i wish this was longer than two minutes...love it.

  • We are the bringers of destruction. We have no remorse, no conscience and no desire to feel pity for the weak. You are but insignificant specs of dust in the grand scheme of the Universe, you are nothing. Like insects you scurry from world to world not knowing what awaits your species. As swiftly as you have spread you will cease to exist, all your memories, all your accomplishments will swallowed by the darkness. You, like others before you will fade into the stars and be forgotten.

  • this song is fucking frightening

  • i wonder what a volus reaper would look like

  • You know what I just thought of? The Reaper where you get the IFF, how the heck did it "die?" They're supposed to be immortal, something would have had to destroy it.

  • @dcl32 What makes you think Reapers are immortal? Sovereign is destroyed, and that Reaper was hit by a powerful mass accelerator slug (that also happened to clip a planet creating a giant rift). Just listen to what Tim has to say about it.

  • @cambailey01 Yeah, when Harbinger says "we have no beginning, we just are," (or something like that) that would mean they lived forever. Although, that said, they can still obviously be killed. I don't think I was really thinking when I posted that. A smarter question would be, how long has it been there? Or, why was it there? It could have been destroyed millions of years ago.

  • @dcl32 In a sense you are right though, the mass effect core was still active (after 50 million years, or more) and it would seem that whatever device is used to indoctrinate people was still working as well. It's like it was put in a coma or something. They have no beginning or end until Shepard kicks the shit out of them XD

  • @cambailey01 Yeah, it kind of makes you wonder exactly what powers the reapers. Something going on for that long would have to utilize some extremely advanced source of energy. It could use fusion I guess; but it doesn't seem likely that it could contain enough fuel for all of that time. But, maybe then again it could if it was able to split the fused elements back into hydrogen.

  • @cambailey01 I think it has something to do with the angle of the walls and the lighting s how it indoctrinates you i don't think it uses any power or the mass effect core

  • @RocketPr0peledGamer How does lights and wall brainwash you? I mean if they're there long enough and then the Reapers leave them, they're lifeless shells with no original thought, they are using technology.

  • @HalfLord nah im sure they game says it gets inside ur head, it doesnt need to be "alive" to indoctrinate you

  • this song is so depressing

  • Strange, but this song reminds me of max paine...

  • @mikebviras

way to go buddy, now it reminds me of max pain to !

    GOOD DAAAMN IIIITTT

  • @mikebviras Yep, Max Payne it is, probably because of the cello. Anyways, two incredible games don't cancel each other out ;)

  • sad!

  • I hate this song it is signature that someone has died...

  • it will be awesome in ME 3 EDI becomes a companion you find a robot body for her and then she will use it to assist you

  • @that1dude0092 Let her in Normandy, we already have Legion.

  • OMG I just had the worst idea on what could happen in ME3

You finally catch up with Harbinger all "I'm going to save the Galaxy" crap. Then sadly the only way to kill Harbinger and the rest of the reapers is to kill yourself. Then Harbinger is all "I will let you live if you let us continue our conquest" for some reason or another. The ultimate test of you Paragon and Renegade-ness-ness.

Damn it I hate it when I come up with this crap :(

  • @CliffDiverBOA Well I can only see that going one way, either way. Paragon Shepard would stand courageously and give her life to defend everyone, as her duty and more importantly the right thing to do. Renegade Shepard would spit in Harbinger's face and tell him to fuck off and charge full-speed into battle, because it's the only true way to stop him and she has the guts to do what it takes.

  • @HuntrBlackLuna He.

  • Don't you mean he or she?

  • @HuntrBlackLuna Renegade Shepards are going to get kicked in the teeth - mark my words :P Killing the Rachni and letting the Council in ME1 die will come back to haunt you. I have no doubt that whoever goes Renegade is going to have a very bad ending.

  • @Unkehz0r heh i've been renegade through bothe games but when it came to the council i killed them.

  • @Unkehz0r I dont think so Renegade ending will save earth at the cost of most of the alien specs

THe good Shepards will save the alien specs at the cost of earth and maybe mankind

  • @imdefender I don't agree - Humans cant stand alone lol. By losing alien support, you pretty much as a Renegade lose the entire galaxies support. Humans will get wiped out because of this.

In Paragon, Humans stand more chance of Survival because the alien races are on their side, giving them a full fighting force.

The Reapers are after humans dude - thats why they're attacking only HUMAN systems. They're not interested in the other aliens anymore.

  • @Unkehz0r maybe but the Cycle of Extinction thing means that all of the races are in trouble and you could go form Paragon to Renegade in the final game save earth

For me I think it would be cool if did go up against the old " ashley william If you're fighting bear"thing where you save us or save them

I do see where you're coming from thou

PS:It's no surprise the collectors tryed to git rid of the only race we know of to kill a Reaper and servive

  • @Unkehz0r The Reapers see humanity as an essence to be absorbed, i.e. the Human Reaper larva. Make no mistake, they want humanity to pay for the annoyance that Shepard has caused them, and then they will carry out the genocide of the rest of the universe.

  • @CliffDiverBOA if that became true then you just spoiled ME3...

    JK lol

  • @CliffDiverBOA That would so fucking epic and at the same time sad.

  • @CliffDiverBOA That's what ME is all about, when it comes right down to it: the critical choices that individuals make. History is the culmination of single carefully placed thoughts, choices made by a few individuals, and the consequences. That's why we love this game!

  • Placing the statue of Normandy SR-1 with a few seconds of this, particularly the piano part playing in the background is pretty depressing.

  • "Humans are disappearing. Two very specific humans."

Bioware: "Well, they aren't big money-grabs, so..."

  • So awesome

  • Terminus Systems, Krogan army, Migrant Fleet, Geth armada, Citadel fleets, Merc Corporations, Systems Alliance, Normandy crew VS. Reapers.

The. Most. Epic. Fight. In. Existence.

  • @XxToRNadiCacTiViTYxX I wish they'd release ME3 already...I bet half the world will disappear to play it the day it comes out lol.

  • @XxToRNadiCacTiViTYxX

And don't forget the Rachni. Their voices will sing again in chorus with that of the Normandy's crew to silence those who would see the galaxy burn.

  • @XxToRNadiCacTiViTYxX The Reapers would still win. Shepard is going to have to pull off another stunt or everybody dies.

  • @XxToRNadiCacTiViTYxX but geth work for the reapers

  • @BloodyhIdioth

you clearly havent played mass effect 2. There are 2 factions of geth. The "Heretic" working for the reaper worshiping them as gods and the "Orthodox" who stays on the quarian homeworld sees the heretic and reapers as enemies.

  • @Warrior536 i have played but i just didnt listen to those things so much

  • @BloodyhIdioth

How can you have missed that? you have a companion whose whole purpose is telling you the difference between the heretic and orthodox geth. His loyalty mission involves the conflict between the orthodox and heretics. Did you just speedrunned the whole thing skipping every sidequest and dialog in the game?

  • @Warrior536 i did hear something about heretics but i didnt skip everything

  • @XxToRNadiCacTiViTYxX

You forgot the Rachni swarm and the Shadow Broker's(Liara =P) personal army

  • one human really disappeared

  • We think Candlejack may be working with the Reapers and abducting huma

  • 40 Turians liked this video.

  • "Shepherd humans are disapear-wait where the hell did you go? Shepherd? Shepherd?!!"

  • you are now imagining vorcha midgets dancing to this song

    manually

  • omg did anyone else sell their copy of ME2 to gamestop when they were having that awesome deal? I did, and i fucking regret it.

  • In mass effect 3 why cant we have like 100,000,000 million shepards vs the reapers

  • do u think in ME3 the reapers will attack the flotilla?

the rewritten geth will help fight reapers

and be given the option of curing the genophage

  • @darraghmcb That'd be sweet. Except I killed all the geth, and erased the data that Mordin's student was working on, and let him kill him too. lol

  • @darraghmcb i think the rewritten geth will come in to ME3 if you chose to rewrite them instead of blowing them up :P

  • @123italiano321 They should pop up in ME3 because there will be a huge battle

  • @darraghmcb the reapers came with an big ass fleet so i guess we will see alooooot off ppls fighting :P

  • @darraghmcb Thought about that as well.Guess it`ll depend on your former Decisions. For example:

-The rachnai rise , Side on Side with the rest of the Galaxy

-The "good" Geth send their Forces

-The Krogan rise from the Genophage and/or unite under the Leadership of Wrex.

    -The "Destiny Ascension" may Re-Appear

-The Normandy and the best Team ever.

Along with a fuckin` powerful Flotilla, as well as the rest of the Galaxy.

  • @ReezeGoingSenseless

Which means that if you didn't do all of those things, you're either going to have some sort of out-of-nowhere "I didn't need you anyway" solution, or your ending's going to be really tragic.

And I'm kinda hoping for the latter, just so the game will say, "well, you were a jerk to the whole galaxy, and this is what you get ..." Nightmare Fuel? Sure. You could have done something about it.

  • @dracosummoner Yep, hope that as well.Or, you can make it on your own with a brutal Bossfight.Although, Tragic`d be better. You`re right ^^

  • @ReezeGoingSenseless

I like your idea in principle, but I think they'd have to make the "humanity-stands-alone" boss fight so difficult as to be impossible to beat ... otherwise, it would just underscore the idea of "well, we didn't need all those aliens anyway"

  • @dracosummoner Yep, thought about that as well.Well, let`s see how Bioware will pull it off :D

  • The piano part is so awesome.

  • Can't wait for Mass Effect 3!!!!!!!!!

  • @Szuperpocok me neither, I wouldn't care if Bioware released games as quick as Left 4 Dead or Halo, but then again it seems kinda impossible seeing as how Biowares games are so.... so.... EPIC! I would take time.

  • ME2 is my fucking life.

  • @Sternertime ME3 is going to drive me to commit theft.

  • @Sternertime Same, I honestly am still playing it just because its so fucking AWESOME!

  • I dont think it would be wise to show a Quarian's face in ME3, as although we're all curious to see what they look like, I think it's better off being a Master Chief complex. Because If you do reveal the face, not only will it ruin the mystery, but also half the fans would love the face, and half would hate it. If you keep it covered, you dont lose that support.

  • @smudgethekat The majoity is expecting Bioware to reveal her face.

  • @elacruisay11 Maybe, but the majority may not like what they see.

  • @smudgethekat 100% agreed *thumbs up*

  • Comment removed

  • @smudgethekat What? i want to know what a Quarian looks like >_>

  • @smudgethekat I agree 100%.

  • @smudgethekat very smart

  • @smudgethekat

maybe if you put it in an art book for collector's edition?

  • @smudgethekat They're like books, it's better to imagine it your own way before seeing what developers produced it as...

  • @knoyle Good Analogy

  • @smudgethekat I agree, i hope they haven't shown Volus face either because they make me laught and the face will not.

  • @smudgethekat True dat. I love the mystery, it adds a little something to the story :P

  • @smudgethekat some one i agree with

every one wants to know what she looks like but i think the mystery is one of the few things that keep her interesting..... apart from the suit thats verry "snug" in all the right places :P

  • @smudgethekat I just want the option to kill them all. I hate them for what they did to the Geth so they all need to die.

  • @smudgethekat

I agree completely. But I do think they should show some female Krogan or Turians. Maybe make the Krogan looks like female Argonians from TES but a bit beefier? ^_^

  • @THEDEADSOUNDSTUDIOS There's a female Krogan on Tuchanka, near the Shamen that you talk to for Grunt's loyalty side-mission.

Basically the same as the males, maybe slightly less thickly set but not much.

  • @G1NZOU ??? That's not a female krogan. That's a male krogan that serves as the female camp ambassador. Female krogan sound like...well, females.

  • @G1NZOU as a huge krogan clan my xbox gt is deadacated to klan urdnot..there is no female in mass effect 1 or 2 except when doing mordin loyality mission he comes across a dead one but u dont see it. there will be one in 3

  • @smudgethekat On one hand I would really like to see what Tali looks like, and since Shepard got to and you "are" Shepard in the game you should be able to see the fact. Sure, it might not live up to everyone's expectations, but then again ""Shepard probably had his own image in his head when before he got to see the face"". On the other hand part of me agrees with you, that it would ruin the mystery. So in the end I will likely be happy if it goes either way in ME3

  • Man, Shep got spaced, and he was still resurrected...

  • i finally found it looking threw all the mass effect songs and found the one i was looking for

  • Is this the song that Shepard got spaced to?

  • yeah

  • @GreatestMKfighter

This is the general "sad theme" of Mass Effect 2.

The variant used in the actual scene where Shepard gets spaced can be heard towards the end of the song, "The Attack."

  • @GreatestMKfighter no. thats a crash landing.

  • "Shepard, humans are disappearing."

"Well, yeah. World of Warcraft 2 came out today."

  • Say that to anyone in real life. You would shit your panties :D.

  • If you say that to a nerd they will probably want to cry. :D

  • @BLARGHALT LOOOOOL :D

  • @BLARGHALT lol

  • @BLARGHALT

In Mass Effect, they call it "Galaxy of Fantasy". It has 11 billion (yes, billion) players.

  • It is interesting to note that the string solo in 'Humans Are Disappearing' also appears in 'Tali', albeit abbreviated, and nowhere else. Interesting, no ?

  • @TheCzechDuck

I take it you havent had any one die on you at the end of the game? Hell even watch the one were every one dies.

  • Well, on my 'best' playthrough--my 'real' playthrough, if you like--that is correct. No one perished, not even anyone from the Normandy's crew.

Yeah, that one is quite sad, indeed.

  • Seen it, yes. Not done it....I'd definitely consider a such a playthru to carry over to III...but mostly out of curiosity...besides, I'm not even certain that will end up a canon ending. 0.o Not saying it -won't- particularly..

  • @strife17O7

I'm doing a new play threw right now. Sense i know garrus would be the best one to try it. I'm doing a play threw were i fully upgrade the ship then do garrus's loyalty mission only. Then during the final run have garrus lead the second team then escort the crew back to the ship. I'm doing this to see if i can get Shepard to die while having at least one crew member live and to make it even more touching i threw in the female Shepard and going to do the garrus romance as well.

  • An interesting experiment. I've wondered just exactly how many potential outcomes there are...Like if there would be one in which everyone makes it out -but- Shepard...I thought Bioware said there was at some point...0.o

  • @strife17O7

Another play threw im trying is make every loyal expect for 2 and try to keep those two alive until the human reaper fight, and take them with me to the fight. Usley when you take none loyal to the final boss They get squashed to death by rubel.

  • I think it's possible for some of the team to survive, though I haven't tested or heard corroborating evidence. My untested theory is that Shepard dies if the 2 teammates with him aren't loyal, regardless of the others. But I like everyone surviving so I'm not about to test it.

  • It is possible to come out completely unharmed, to team mates dead and the crew of the normandy saved. You can find a 'how to' on youtube.

  • how and where

    video title/name please

  • Look at it this way: Quarians can't be worse than Krogan :P

  • @Idunyken

Or vorcha. I never thought anything could make a krogan look pretty, but the freakin' vorcha proved me wrong.

  • they only live 20 years so its not that bad.

  • @Redzephyr1 KALACH-CHA

  • @Redzephyr1

geth, krogan and vorcha are the coolest.

    hanar are cool too.

  • @fluffyzhangfei asari

  • @Redzephyr1 - Batarians aren't too sexy either lol

  • Not of a predator for sure, I'm certain that once I caught a glimpse of nose under Talis mask.

  • @Oretsam2008

Quarians have noses, lips, teeth, cheeks, obviously two eyes, eyelids, tearducts. They have an endo-skeleton.

Other than that, there's not really any further information.

In Ascension, Paul Grayson doesn't react to anything especially unusual about quarian physiology when he sees one without an enviro-suit. This may just be something the author didn't wish to get into, or it may hint at an at least somewhat human-ish appearance.

Hopefully, we'll find out in ME3.

  • Let us hope they're not too far off from the human physiology, apart from the three fingers, I surely do hope there is a different coloration of the skin

  • Other than their fingers and legs/feet, I'm starting to think that they aren't too far off. Quarians even bleed a similar colour to humans.

  • Nah, the presence of hemoglobin doesn't really prove anything rather than their cell types might be similar to humans.

Remind yourself that turians have hemocyanin, making their blood red and alot more oxygenated...

    All in due time

  • @Redzephyr1 no they dont. they bleed purple.

  • Did you even play Mass Effect 2? You see it almost right away, on Freedom's Progress, when Prazza and his fellows are battling the YMIR mech. They get soundly thrashed, and you see quite clearly that quarians bleed red. On the other hand, asari bleed purple.

  • @Redzephyr1 dude, i just played it earlier, they bleed a shade of purple. either somethings wrong with your tv or eyes, or my tv or eyes.

  • Quarians probably have the face of a predator and it'll be a huge joke on bioware's part to whoever had a relationship with Tali.

  • and hopefully those other species are as hot as the Asari :)

  • Asari?

Bah. Quarians are where it's at.

  • Word son.

  • dude, they have like 3 fingers. nice ass, but 3 fingers!!! plus no one even knows what they look like, which I sincerely hope we do in ME3.

  • So chilling, make me hope there really are other species we can interact with,so we don't feel so alone.

  • The terrible thing is that, with Drake's equation, there have to be at least hundreds (if not thousands) of other lifeforms (intelligent or not) all over our galaxy...too bad it'll take us way too long to even get to the next star system.

  • @Ariashal

Says who? What's stopping you? What's stopping us? There isn't a damn thing in Mass Effect, short of FTL travel itself, that can't be perfectly replicated with existent technology.

Nothing's stopping us, in my opinion. We're stopping ourselves, all passive aggressive, by pretending we can't do it, so we don't have to accept responsibility for our own creative power.

Well. Some seem to. Not me. Probably not you. Those interested in sci-fi have optimistic outlooks, I've found.

  • @HotaruZoku:

Your comment has stopped me in my tracks. I just ... you are either very clever or almost completely wrong. Maybe both!?

  • I accept that I can be so wrong I could be a guy in a padded room some where, teaching a pet mouse Morse code with two spoons and a lot of free time...but on the off chance that I'm really here, there's a Galaxy to explore.

Rewarding. To see your response. I tell myself I voice view points and see realities others do but perhaps don't mention, but still nice to meet someone aware of themselves enough to take a post on You Tube seriusly.

    Thank you.

  • Putting you down out of hand struck me as inappropriate, regardless of how serious you may or may not be.

Eh, and there's no way to say this without sounding creepy, but there's some chance you might be a special person. If so, I'd rather not help to squeeze any faith you might have in humanity out of you. Youtube and the internet can probably do a good enough job of that on their own.

  • *laughs*

I've made it too far into my life to let the web steal my soul OR beat it down. It strikes me as what this is for, actuelly. All this. The internet. It feels like a perfect first step.

    First we all meet.

Then we discover we DON'T think like politicians.

Then we start exploring inner -and- outer space.

I'll be there. I can feel my place....wouldn't do not to show up. What about you?

Feel your place yet? Know it yet?

  • Possibly. That's the best answer I can give.

If one of your hopes is for the unification of humanity through communication, we may not live to see that. Humanity is young, or if we're old, there isn't much to see in the universe.

I'd like to say more, but you don't need any advice from me.

  • Just the game gets me wondering if there is any other race on other planets we dont know of and the track is awesome.

  • The unniverse it self its big enough to have many other species.... I always wondered how large is it really? Where it ends and how it started... I feel like a bacteria in such a huge world where I don't even know where I belong, how I started and why...
