  • not a funny clip. Hes good but that just wasnt a good video to post

  • 1:07 to 1:35 = hilarious.

  • whoa i cant believe how people argue on this video. just watch it and leave.do you care if he writes his own jokes? rly? even if he doesnt....he is the one on stage making people laugh, and u are not. even if he doesnt write his own jokes, he has great delivery for comedy, and if u disagree with that, then its ur opinion, and the majority of people disagree with ur opinion...which makes urs wrong.

  • Veteran timing, classic!

  • He sucks.

  • Chappelle has been doing stand-up for a few years now, after the calamity of the Chappelle Show; he's been selling out everywhere and making tons of money. Meanwhile, Brennan dreams of riding Chappelle's coattail again. It's obvious Chappelle does not need a Neil Brennan, but Neil Brennan needs a Chappelle. The comedy clubs probably introduce Brennan as the co-writer of the Chappelle Show, but take away that introduction and you will see/hear the true reality of Brennan's stand-up... boo!

  • Or the fact that he has a nation wide comedy about to release starring the biggest actor on Entourage Jeremy Piven called The Goods... His stand up may be bad but he has written for SNL and hes written a big screen nation wide comedy. What have you done?

  • he also co-wrote Half Baked, and directed The Goods.

  • are you some sort of hollywood insider or something? how the hell would you know? enlighten us please. that's some pretty inflammatory shit to say. everyone knows brennan was a co-writer but who but someone behind the scenes could know what percentage was dave and what was neil? brennans stand up doesn't seem impressive, though dave's was even before chappele's show.

  • Of course hiz stand-up is weak, hes only good at writing for black actors. And I am somewhat of a Hollywood insider, my older brother ghost-wrote for some no-name comedians a few years ago. He said almost all big stand-ups have some 1 write their shit for them.

  • there's a thing called a muse.nobody is responsible 100% for the things they do. be it comedy or whatever. people build off of other's inputs, their interactions with others and experiences they observe. sometimes it is outright plagiarism but it takes talent to incorporate your own thoughts with other influences and deliver it in a hilarious way. paul mooney wrote for pryor. so what. dave is anything but fake, all you have to do is see him interviewed. what are you? a miltant white hip hopper?

  • Him and Chappelle are comedic geniuses I wish I could see new work from him.

  • I like the idea that improv is a tiny comedy place. funny. apparently you were not alive in the eighties, have never seen an episode of seinfeld, and you probably are not familiar with an entire generation of brick wall comedians. you lose.

  • Wow, him and Dave were on top of the world four, five years ago. Now, one is nowhere to be seen, the other does shows at little comedy joints....damn

  • He chooses to do that stuff. Anyone on earth with half a brain would sign him to their show or movie..but yeah shit does happen.

  • sexy.

  • He's Dave Chappelle's writing partner, he co-wrote Half Baked and all of Chappelles' Show with him. Give the man some respect

  • much respect and all but the truth is, he turned his back on Dave and he WAS one of Dave's best friends.

  • other way around actually

  • Dave left the show without telling anyone, if I was Dave I'd be pissed too
