the book is and was a hella lot better than the movie. Larisa did an excellent job, as well as shiri. If they had just followed the original story line like the book I personally think it would have been alot better. This is the condensed version of the book.

This book....is amazing. I have read it at least 30 times. I read it the most when I was going through chemotherapy treatments when I was 17. I could relate to the characters a lot and my own friendship with my best friend drifted just like the girls in this book/movie. I had no idea they had made this into a movie until I read Shiri Applebee's bio on Wiki.

ANd I agree with everyone about how they changed it, I wish the would make a newer, more book accurate version, but i still LOVE this movie and the books. Both A Time For Dancing and The Farther You Run make me cry every time I read them (currently reading A Time For Dancing for the like 20th time)
