You can hear rounds cooking off in the bus. That means there are loaded weapons in there. They engaged the bus for a reason. When the enemies tried to flee they were engaged. When they showed surrender - they were captured and evacuated...

2, Running from a burning bus which is likley to explode without a gun drawn isnt aggressive.
Both are examples of when not to shoot.
Which is why the guys in this film commited a war crime and were sent to jail and dishournerably discharged from the military for showing cowardice in the face of the enemy.

And the bus had rounds in it that were shooting off when the bus was on fire, so they did have guns. I don't know, either way, to me, it seems very unlikely that all the Marines there were shooting because they were trigger happy. They did treat the enemy with proper medical treatment.

Two things: number 1, I find it strange of how the military is nowadays. Had this footage been Okinawa 1945, those guys woud've been slaughtered without compunction!
