mafia II has nice graphics and a great atmosphere, but it fails to deliver a good game. it feels somehow dull and hollow.. you have a feeling it could be something better but it's not. GTA is gangsters, Mafia II is about the great mafia. Gangsters curse sell dope, and smoke out in the streets, messing with the police... on the other hand, the mafia blow up buildings, steal government stamps and kill the gangsters (gresse, spelling?), therefore, I can say fuck GTA and get Mafia II or Mafia I, or hell, get any game thats about mafia, just not gangsters.

@TheLancaster75134 So? Mafia 2 has a way better storyline, way better setting, its more NYC then GTA IV (except Times Square in GTA), and I personally think the cars are better. The music isn't hardcore and the game is realistic as everything on the radio and on the streets isn't about sex and drugs. Plus, GTA IV doesn't have good animations, you can do anything except shoot a gun and not be chased by the cops. Mafia 2 all the way its more realistic. And you cant judge a game by multiplayer too.

I don't honestly know how these games can be compared. Mafia is a tiny bland little game in a small empty ghost town of a city with boring, boring missions, piss poor driving physics, bad ai, no ragdole physics, GTA IV has so much better tech powering it despite its age. Also GTA IV has a great story that I think is better. I think no one here has actually played GTA IV

Mafia 2 has great driving physics - realistic for the cars - the ai is much better (have you seen the way the cops react to crime scenes) - it also has better graphics

But admittedly mafia 2 doesn't have a multiplayer so you aren't entertained for as long unfortunately :(

@ConnorBox Mafia 2 has way way way less realistic driving physics. They aren't even comparable, and the fact that you're driving about 5 types of cares from the 1940s also insures that driving isn't much fun. Great graphics? Yeah, but GTA IV has more impressive technology. Better AI? No, street AI is much smarter in GTA IV. In mafia you can wave a rife in a guys face and he does nothing. In mafia you can shoot a guy in the foot and he runs away.
