Personally i think the reason that Muse are so brilliant is their different sounds, of all the albums were the same then would anyone view them as being as amazng as they are now viewed?

Dead Star is part of a double A-Side single, not B-side and was released in 2002. But I take your point, their music has definitely changed direction over the years - but that's what makes them great, and to be fair this is easily one of their hardest rock songs so it's at the other end of the spectrum completely when compared with Uprising. They've not completely moved away from heavy rock songs, listen to MK Ultra or Unnatural Selection from their new album; they're far less pop rock.
