  • Jerry is a legend.

  • Needs more Cosby.

  • @comedychow cosby sucs !

  • @MrJapaneseboy1111 OMG! Cosby is classic! WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU??

  • Is that Anderson Cooper at 4:01 ?

  • @shreyg Ya that's Anderson Cooper

  • still got it

  • Cannot believe the people are clapping and laughing. The speech is apparently funny for the sole fact that he is a comedian.

  • It must be hard to not get the joke wherever you go. But maybe you're used to it?

  • @cgw123 Nobody said I didn't get the joke. I was laughing at this video. But I find it so fascinating that it's funny, because in another context it would be an insulting and embarrassing speech, you know? It's interesting what a comedic context can do to words.

By the way, you have quite a way to approach another person there, my friend... Do you approach people like this in real life? :-|

  • @bikutorusan must suck going through life without a sense of humor, maybe you've been able to develop other abilities like acute hearing. Course... it won't help if you ever hear something that others fine funny but you can't...

  • @Zen0Ph0bus Wow. It seems like I have to explain this to every single fool that comes by this video to read my comment and completely misses the point. I didn't say I didn't find it funny. I laughed at Mr. Seinfeld. He's hilarious; he's one of my favorite comedians. What I did say is that I found interesting the FACT that it IS funny. Get it? T_T

  • @bikutorusan maybe if you have to keep explaining it to us "fools" then you didn't really put your point across effectively. Nonetheless, my apologies for not clearly seeing your point... just coming to the defense of one of your "favorite" comedians so you shouldn't take it so personally :P

  • @Zen0Ph0bus I think I made my point quite clearly if there was a point to be made. People interpret things out of statements that aren't there in the first place -- no-one was being attacked, hence there was no need for defense. I took it personally because you made it personal in telling me I had no sense of humor.

At any rate, you apologized to me which I feel is very honorable! I accept your humble apology, and my apologies for the "fool" thing, as well. No hard feelings I hope.

  • This is a video of Jerry Seinfeld accepting an award.

  • This is a comment on a video of Jerry Seinfeld accepting an award.

  • @cgw123 No shit Sherlock. "Give this man a huge golden trophy he's a god damn genius!" ^^

  • ...(continued)..and look at the puppets clapping...pathetic. Jerry is right , and wrong at the same time...

  • ..i belive that is the best example of nervous laughter...

  • That is Jerry at the top of his game. Brilliant.

  • HILARIOUS!

    Kudos to American Comedy Awards!

  • Seinfeld is right. Awards are stupid. I wish he would have said it after Obama got his award for doing nothing.

  • Was this taped from old VHS tape using 8reel camera?

  • 2:57 is where the speech goes from seinfeld complaining to seinfeld being hilarious :) There was a serious change in mood, i loved it :D

  • haha! he IS a genius!

  • sums it up

  • It's all a big jerk-off.

  • This is hillarious! "jagoff bowling trophies" is my favorite! He's right about actors too. I don't know why people idolize them when all they do is say something on camera that they are told to say lol

  • I like how he tore this self important bullshit completely apart. It probably made all those other self-righteous morons quickly re-write their sappy thank you speeches.

  • This speech is a classic; he's dead on with everything he says and it's so refreshing to not only know a big celeb "gets it" but has the backbone to SAY it. Too bad that this video quality blows; the video and sound aren't even matched up (I didn't think that was even possible any more)

  • kick ass!

  • Gold!

  • LOL

  • LOL

  • It's nice to know that Jerry has some modesty to not take himself seriously, unlike some of the crap that happens every year at the Oscars.

  • great GREAT speech haha

  • Wtf is up with Chris Rocks face?

  • its just his skin color man...

  • LOL.

  • bottox

  • please, please, what year was that? and where? and for what work he did they gave him that award ?

i need thses information badly.. thanks.

  • they gave jerry the award for most outstanding sitcom, and I believe comedian of the year. it was aired last year on nbc, I think. SEINFELD RULES!!!!!!!!

  • HBO gave him this award it is the american comedian award and its the first award they have ever given.

  • actually, Chris Rock respects Jerry Seinfeld a lot, a gag he uses is sometimes "more people saw that then the last episode of Seinfeld", and i believe that they are pretty close friends. I mean, they are both comedians...

And people who think that Jerry Seinfeld is not a good comedian, are just so uneducated that they wouldnt understand a good joke if i came naked, doing the can can and slapped them on the face with a large salmon.

That was my attempt at a joke ( i failed btw)

  • i disagree. you did quite well.

  • @DoomKillerorSlayer yeh u failed

  • Nice hearing him curse a little too:)

  • This is great:) Pure genius. LOL

  • Comment removed

  • he is above all of em

  • lol funny speech, although Chris Rock looked awkward through out it. Many awkward laughs, and genuine ones. Good to see someone doesn't just get on stage and talks about all the thank you's none stop :)

  • Chris Rock can be funny. But he's sitting there thinking "boy he's getting a lot of laughs but he hasn't said dick or cock yet, whats up with that?"

  • you read him right!!!!lol

  • I love when youtube people argueing about nothing & nobody gives a damn. hahaaaahaaha

  • yeah, well....your name is stupid adojrs12.

    lol

  • genius!

  • Could you get any more low?

  • great!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • senators from krypton lol

  • Get em, Jerry. Kick their ass!

  • Chris Rock probably isn't a dumbass. I'm pretty sure he's quite a cleverass.

  • Chris Rock is average

  • from now on i shall always use cleverass rather than smartass:)

  • wow, arent u a smartass

  • Dude, best acceptance speech EVER!!! This is all just a big jerk-off. Jerry is the best comedian to take the microphone... :)

  • Chris Rock has a huge question mark over his head. Dumbass.

  • Best acceptance ever!!!!!!

  • Senator of krypton...

  • fabulous, one of the funniest guys to ever take the microphone. i could see chris rock didn't know htf to react to jerry's genius.

  • jerry is right that is why shows like seinfeld roseane, everybody loves raymond and the cosby show are so good because they were created by comedians!

  • but not everybody loves raymond, ray romano isn't a comedian

  • w/e u still get my point

  • UMM WTF I just did some research and you are so wrong yes he was a comedian he even did stand up in front of Johnny Carson in 1991!!

  • by my comment I meant that he sucks and isn't funny

  • Oh my mistake ha ha.

  • what??? of course he was

  • Ray Romano is funny, but Everybody Loves Raymond sucks. Seinfeld is 100 x funnier, and Seinfeld is the best show on earth. It differs.

  • i hate chris rock!

    (Not because he´s black!)

he´s the worst comedian alive(if i can call him like this)

  • That's crazy -chris rock is one of the funniest people alive, or dead

  • He is a total racist!

  • ignore that, wrong video

  • Yes, actors do things...which happen to be thought by other people. Comedians do things which happen to be thought by themselves. He's just saying it's not fair that awards are giving to actors who didn't work very hard.

  • DAMN - I wrote a whole text, and it deleted it. Yeah... whatever know. You are right there. That's not what I'm saying anyways.

  • I'd like to add that if the actors' salaries weren't that high, then more awards would be given to comedians. There would not be this "fascination"/obsession with actors who just pretend. Lastly, the WGA strike would have been solved faster and/or it would not have happened because most of the money going to actors' pay would be going to the writers who had to think of something.

  • Oh, that's the problem. We are talking about Hollywood actors. I'm not. I'm talking about my country, that is in South America. There you have to work as hard as you can to get noticed. There are also fakes, who have no idea what acting is, and others who are just "pretty" and will attract audience. But let's face it, if actors got money, at the beggining of the whole thing, maybe it was for something.

  • I also think that he believes that it is unfair for him to get an award when other people, who could not think of anything creative, get the same thing. The idea for awards shows is to recognize people who have created an innovation so it gives incentive for others to do the same thing, thus, causing society to improve.

  • Wow, inricheetos, what an incredibly, funny, clever quip.

Glad to see you finally got the opportunity to use it somewhere.

  • didnt think he had that in him :) best surprise so far this year ^^

  • brilliant...

  • When he criticized the actors, this could be why Seinfeld really did not go into filming (except for "Bee Movie"), instead just went back into stand-up comedy after his TV show.

  • "Actually, what's even worse is that, there are too many entertainment award shows per year, making them more rare."

When I said "more rare," I mean less significant.

  • Actually, what's even worse is that, there are too many entertainment award shows per year, making them more rare. I've noticed something, also. While pretty people are receiving their awards, ugly people are making people's lives a lot better, like building a bridge. Also, I find that ugly people (like the comedians) make much better entertainers than the pretty ones.

  • You sound like a good entertainer! :-)

  • Seinfeld is really telling it like it is. Awards shows, particularly entertainment, are stupid. I mean what have they accomplished? What's worse is I noticed with these awards shows discuss more about the "dresses" analysis, and less on the movie/TV show analysis. It would be better that these TV awards shows would have the best engineer, best car maker, best scientist, etc. b/c there is much more entertainment in discussing them, in the long-run. Well, I'm in the minority.

  • award shows are an industry and everybody gets their profit out of it..they exist because people watch them. i think award shows are good..there's just too mush fuss around them.. they're too commercial

  • I understand the profit motive and I agree that they exist because people watch them...and eventually people will get tired of them. I agree award shows are good...when we recognize the people who are concerned more about making our society look better rather than making their bodies look better, in terms of looking like a supermodel.

  • Red carpet fashion analysis is something that I pray to god aliens will never hear about when they make contact with earth in 200 years. It can single-handedly ruin the reputation of the whole planet.

  • typical jewish mentality, unconventional. that's why i like them.

  • roll the cameras, put on these clothes.. ready? say what we told ya to say!

  • lol you dont know comedy if you dont think this guys funny! just the way he speaks is funny, your on your own mate, watch something else if you dont like him

  • i love him so much ;(

  • 'The man who is not funny' heh yeah really profound-Jerry is awesome, plus id love his porsche collection

    still i love jerry

  • Best show Ever!

  • HE IS THE MAN!!!

  • FUCK YOU

  • I love it.

  • thats gold jerry, gold!

one more season jerr, one more, Seinfeld season 11 come on.

  • Seinfeld is great !! Thats the truth

  • jerry rocks,GENIUS!

  • this is what observational comedy is all about...jerry is simply the best...no need to overact or curse....just pure brilliance....

  • The greatest of all-time.

This was brutally hilarious and honest at the same time.

  • filmed off a tv. classy.

  • Jerry da jawab nahi

  • This guy's the best, nothing else to say man.

  • definately. easily the most clevuer comedian, and television series of our time if u ask me.

  • hehe what a genius, so many meaningless stupid things on this world to make fun of and hes the best at it :)

  • See how awkward Chris Rock looks... hes soo on edge... and the camera that keeps going back to his face doesn't help.

  • pwned!

  • he is so right

  • It's actually true. Everything what is said is true. This is not ment as funny, but he knows that this will be percieved as funny. Jerry is intelligent.

  • This is the greatest speech ever.

  • hahaha and a big HA!!! i wonder what the host of the show said next.. i mean how can you recover from that..ahaha.. jerry is a genius..A genius!

  • Honesty is the funniest.

  • He's very funny. But doesn't he sometimes come off as really smug?

  • yes.

  • no, it does not

  • He uses satirical language and word play. Think Stephen Colbert (except Seinfeld came first.)

  • I'm pretty sure I've heard somewhere that Colbert was influenced by Seinfeld...but then so has pretty much every comedian that came to prominence during or after the 1990's.

  • say what we told you to say!

    LOL!

  • Jerry Seinfeld - 'RULES'

  • that speach made him even cooler than he already was

  • Jerry Seinfeld....LEGEND!

  • That was class. He still took the award though, didn't he?

  • Jerry Seinfeld's awesome...

  • Jerry u r awesome !!!

  • what a genious

  • and it is so ironic

  • HAHAHAHAHAHA....what a legend!!!

  • I was at first sickened by all the ass kissing going on here. But, then Jerry gave his speach. Fucking genius.

  • I watched it the night it aired on HBO. Finally, someone who tells it like it is in Hollyweird!

  • i don't think chris rock is one of those people who gets tense and offended by stuff like this :P i think he enjoyed it as much as i did.

  • I totally agree with everything he said. :)

  • I don't know if Rock was pissed, but he looks tensed.

    This great. Go Jerry !

  • He didn't look pissed or tense to me.

  • Jerrys the king

only he could get away with that, and he did it perfectly

  • was Chris Rock pissed?

  • This is too hilarious--it's like a drunken rant, without the slurring and/or alcohol. Love to hear the truth.

  • seinfeld rules

  • great, just great :D

  • That takes some guts.

  • fuck yeah

  • It would be like living in funny's house going to this show.

  • Hilarious. I love how Seinfeld sees through the bull sh**. Great video.

  • oh god i missed him, this was fucking hilarious!

  • that was hilarious

  • Thanks for posting this, glass543! I agree with you BarracksSi!
