The reality is, these are college kids playing a game. Small minded people get a little too wraped up in it. Some of them even travel to the campus of a "rival" school and poison their 100-year old oak trees. But you would never do that, would you? @thelosingirish When I say "GO IRISH" I'm not just talking about football. We had 2 National Titles last year and some very very successful programs. Academically, our graduation rate is around 90%, we graduate 90%+ of our athletes and 90%+ of our african american student body (high compared to other colleges). So when I say "Go Irish", I'm cheering for our academic/athletic student body and our establishment.
And I'm not calling the kids cheaters, I save that word for the football program.

Coming from a PURDUE fan, for the record: I'd now rather see Notre Dame succeed than the lying semi-pro cartel that calls itself "amateur" down in the Old South.

Yes, you are ND. We kind of feel sorry for you. A once proud program has been reduced to idle boasting and making disparaging remarks about other teams. The reality is, these are college kids playing a game. Small minded people get a little too wraped up in it. Some of them even travel to the campus of a "rival" school and poison their 100-year old oak trees. But you would never do that, would you? You just call a bunch of college kids "cheaters" who had nothing to do with the NCAA sanctions.

@thelosingirish When I say "GO IRISH" I'm not just talking about football. We had 2 National Titles last year and some very very successful programs. Academically, our graduation rate is around 90%, we graduate 90%+ of our athletes and 90%+ of our african american student body (high compared to other colleges). So when I say "Go Irish", I'm cheering for our academic/athletic student body and our establishment.
And I'm not calling the kids cheaters, I save that word for the football program.
