if it comes to the most important thing to save your live in war you should only buy the best. german quality is the best in the world in caars weapons beer xD
@1a1ms German car quality is terrible. They suffer numerous electrical problems, especially VWs. How many VWs do you see on the road with only one working head lamp? On the luxury end, BMWs, Audis and MBs all suffer many reliability issues compared with Acura and Lexus. Although Germans make great weapons and beer, their cars are certainly not the best in the world.
@ABorell12 Actually, when this video was made, HK had THE ONLY railed handgun in existence. Any accessories that existed at that point were made for the USP. It was only after everybody jumped on the bandwagon that Picatinny spec rails made their way onto handguns.
@nahhansnah I own a couple of HKs, so you don't have to convince me. All I'm saying is, we've got HK45s developed and now built here in the USA. Times are changing. A lot of SIG Sauer pistols are also now 100% American made, which sucks in my pinion.
@boricuaDV it doesnt matter that sigs or hk are made in US, the US did not design them. It is all in the design. Any country can assemble a gun from someone elses design. What matters is the innovative design.
@ABorell12 Actually, it DOES matter when the US produces so many problematic handguns made off of foreign designs. SIGs return rate went through the roof, and their QC down the toilet, after a few years of American manufacture. The design may be solid, but it needs to be made properly. The diligence and pride of the American workforce isn't the same as it was in WW2. The firearms market shows evidence of this.
@boricuaDV but they were still developed in germany and first created there its like for example with ford cars they are produced everwhere in the world but they were still created and made in the us
Uhhhh, the USP is especially made dor american shooters. ROFL. What makes the difference between american and other shooters? Such a retarted argument!!!!! HK is german, but americans love to hear, that a product has been developed especially for them. Only one word for that: RETARTED!
@VpR81 Sorry for the late response. To answer your questions, yes, American shooters seem to have different preferences, such as a FRAME mounted safety (not a slide mounted one), a safety lever that is "off" when it is in the DOWN position (unlike the Beretta, or HK's own P8 version of the USP). These preferences come from 100 years of using the 1911 pistol. American shooters are ingrained with these setups, and a lot of them have problems with slide mounted safeties & reversed safety directions
@boricuaDV No problem. The USP is a pure HK pistol serie. Not meant especially for the US. Otherwise it would not have been offered to german law enforcment long before it was offered in the US. And you are totally wrong with the P8. The P8 is a version of the USP, that was especially build for the german army. Not for civilians, not for police, not for foreign countries. Only for the german Army, although you can also buy it as a civilian. The german army dictated the quality characteristics.
@VpR81 Actually, there is nothing I said that is false. The lever style safety was taken from the 1911. The magazine release location was also pioneered on American handguns. I'm not wrong on the P8 either. I know what a P8 is, and I'm telling you the safety directions are reversed. "Up" on the P8 is "fire" and "down" is "safe" unlike all the rest of the USP pistols that use the American setup. Also, please recoggnize that this video was made FOR HK, they paid for it and gave the info.
@boricuaDV I didn't say, that you are wrong about the safety levers. The point is, that the P8 was not meant for civilian use. It's just offered there too. Also the USP was not especially designed for americans. It was offered to german law enforcment first, also the USP Compact, as well as the P10 and the P2000. "Especially for american shooters" is nothing more than marketing. The Beretta 92F is also popular in the US, and there is "up" for "fire" and "down" for safe.
@IntolerantInLove they still make them, you just need to know where to look and yes if you go to a local gun shop they most likely will say that hk stopped making them but they didn't hk just makes so many a year
No, it is safe to say that they sold their video production services to HK, who is (or was at the time) trying to sell guns. This is a marketing video made by a video professional in the 90s for HK.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR POSTING THIS. I found this video two years ago on google videos and the next week I couldn't find it anywhere. It has been a long wait, but I love this video and I love H&K. Again I thank you.
That makes two of us! I was taught to always keep my digits clear of the rear of the slide, especially when dealing with a loaded pistol. Putting a decocker there forces you to violate this rule.
