The black coloring is caused by a recessive gene and if this were a higher definition video or you viewed one up close the jaguar markings would be visible only in different shades of black. Technically there is no such thing as a black panther.

That such means instead of having spots the individual has a gene mutation that makes them all black. However in some parts of North America panther is one of the many names for a mountain lion/cougar Felis concolor. Technically the word panther comes from the Latin word for leopard. A lot of rude replies...The fish is actually a sturgeon and it's body is large, however, it is also "designed" for shallow water. In North America there are large fish such as muskellunge that, when hibernating or pregnant, will go into shallow water for protection. The sturgeon has no natural predators that are in the water where they live, however, giant cats have their own version of a giant fishbowl.
