It is all crap. They are bribing you to buy a $100,000 dollars for $600,000 dollars. It is a big gimmick. WAKEUP AMERICA; DONT FELL INTO THSE CRUCKS HANDS.
no you don't because you are buying from a relative........i went and got my taxes prepared and i also purchased a home this year...and it's crap because they are only giving 10% of the price of the home
there really isnt a catch ! yeahhhh boy !!! even if you cannot afford a house you can still buy a house and get the $8000 !!! then when you can't make the mortgage payments then just move and rent a apartment ! thankyou obama !
I have a question I'm still confused about this home credit. Say I buy a house for 350,000 this year to get the first time buyers rebate of 8000 for next year. What if my home drops in price from 350000 to 320000. Wouldn't it better if I had lost out on the 8000 and waited for the homes to drop a little more to be on the safe side. My good friend once told me you buy when the market goes up since not when the market is down. When the market is up it represents it won't go down for another15
Jessica, FYI, according to my research the money does not have to be repaid as long as you live in the home for 3 years. If you sell before 3 years you have to claim a prorated portion of the credit as income. Thanks again, your videos have been very educational during my home selling process.
Awsome, I wanna know about your camera details too if you don`t mind. you make it seem so easy. great job, if I ever move up there I will buy a house from theCarolinasFinest for sure....
The $8,000 tax credit won't re-flate the bubble... It'll only lead to a crash that is even worse down the road. There is a hidden agenda as to why the higher-ups are giving away "free money". Must be good for real estate agents though. Hope you make some sales as a result. Good luck!
Hey i was approved for the credit but now i am waiting on a letter from the IRS for some reason..... Would you know what that letter says and what info they need so i can have it handy??????? tx
I PRAY this tax credit will be extended for 2010... MY credit will be good enough to buy a home in Feb. 2010.. Do you think they will extend this tax credit for another year, because that will be terrible if I miss it by 3 months...
Can 2006 house purchase qualify for a credit?

If you get a crap interest rate, you might pay that back. Most will pay about 200,000.

You would not qualify if you buy it from family.
