you need to make a video of your exhaust without any music so we can hear what your car sounds like. im about to get exhaust done to my 92 z34 and im unsure on what to do. all the videos on youtube of the z34's exhaust sound like shit. i was probably gonna do a cat and than straight piped all the way out to the tips with no muffler. but i was also thinking wat you did, no cat and flowmaster mufflers. i just dont wanna spend hundreds on a shitty sounding exhaust job.

I would doubt your 3.4 engine is "wore out" at 145k miles. It may need a timing belt they are supposed to be replaced every like 80k miles as a routine maintenance item.

i have a 99 z34 monte carlo. u need the 3.8 ltr v6. good torque for the track add a chip cold air and turbo and u got a v6 beast. my monte runs low8's in the 1/8 mile with a cold air and the gtp pontiac supercharger. but keep it a v6 for a little character u know

do yourself a big favor because you'll be taking about a sec an a half off. find a 97 monte with the 3.4 and do the intake swap. then if you have access to a mill, machine an adapter plate for a northstar 4.6 tb. they get wild. also get a high flo cat back in because the comptuer unless well tuned will just richen up the fuel mix bad. also find a 3.8 supercharged engine and borrow the injectors(much better response time)

The engine has 145k on it. The engine is just worn out. Factory they ran 15.5s at 90, with what i have i should be in the very low 15s, consistantly. I am working on getting a new crate motor for it eventually, but i am working on my other car at the moment (check my vids).

The seat logos were on the car when i got it. I believe it was a dealer installed option because i have seen a few others with the same logos on them, but my old 93 Z34 did not have them.

Yes, that will happen when your stock series 2is an L67(3.8 Supercharged) with 245hp and up, depending on the year.

yea i'm runnin about 242 hp and 238 torque... i love it and i got a way good deal on it 2700 dollars with a 1500 dollar stero system... and its got hogh miles like 155000 but all highway and it runs way good

I fixed the timing and it ran a 15.411 @89.3mph. That still is about 3-4 tenths off what it should be running. I believe this motor is just worn out, 160k miles.

I only have the plain 1992 4-door Sedan Lumina with a 3.1L V6. Plus, it's only a 3-speed automatic which only reaches a top speed of around 115 mph. Still, Lumina's rock!!

I wish my '95 Monte Z34 had a 5 speed stick instead of the 4 speed automatic! I could tell you a horror story (or two) about my trans going out on me, but it'd take up too much space. Otherwise, I love my Monte! The DOHC 3.4 V6 is a sweet engine, and with a strong trans to put the power down (not to mention the fun of shifting yourself!) I'd imagine that you'd blow some unsuspecting Honda owner's doors off!

I got rid of the container and removed the pump also. It makes it alot easier to mess around in the engine bay w/o it being there. Soon i plan on moving the batter to the trunk so i can have a true fender-well intake.
