This is essentially making me cry. I picked up a bible this morning for the first time in like, 4 years. And I was just reading it and I had a spiritual revelation and then I stumbled across this 5 o so hours later. Aaron you do more good then you know.

My mom went to one of our local shows last night and she didn't care for our music too much. I "played too hard" and "used too much cymbol". It's hard, man; she basically asked us to change our whole genre of music of which we're passionate about. Rock on, Aaron! You're a "real" person who's not too wrapped up in your own image. Not all church's are doing this but the great majority are doing this. We have turned the Gospel into more of a motivation to having our best life now. We think were not doing Good in dicipling people because the great majority that we got "saved" or "recieved christ" dont show up on Sundays. When the problem is actually that they were never converted or regenerated by the Holy spirit and what we thought was a sheep was actually still a goat.
Were not teaching from historical Christian doctrine. The comment you made about the world changing and trying to make the Gospel more acceptable to men is proposterous. We try to make the Gospel of Jesus more relevent to our culture and this is not being faithfull to Christ. This is very dangerous because in 2timothy chapter four, paul lets us know about people not being able to endure sound doctrine but will gather thier own teachers, and thats exactly what happening today.
I stand by my point. Too many people are changing their doctrine to fit modern culture. We are not called to conform. Then there are churches that I very much admire for reverting to the original and true apostolic doctrine.

That is rather harsh man. In John 1 John tells us about John the Baptist- a witness to the light. People all around the world have blinders on them and can't see the light. Why is Jesus the word? Because Jesus is all God wanted to say to us. When Jesus summed up the word he put it like this: Love.
The bible was written by a master author- God. You cannot take verses by themselves without Jesus in mind as God's plan for salvation. If you had done this, all of this conflict would not have happened. Please red Romans 8:28-39 and realize just how much he loves us. We live and die for him. He lived and died for us.

This is where im comming from, see I have learned something throught my christian life, and that is that we are not preaching Christ crucified and salvation anymore. We're not preaching and telling men how to be saved, we're preaching and telling men that they are saved when in the first place we have no authority to tell men they're saved.

I think our problem actually goes beyond that, as it seems that in many cases society has become so "tolerant" that the majority of Christians are scared to rise up and even reveal what they are. And when they do, they don't go beyond witnessing. But I know there are alot of revivals going on to change this, and I am very happy about that.

I feel aaron is preaching a man centered Gospel rather than a God centered Gospel. Everything God has done, he has done it for himself, for his glory. He sent his son to show his goodness, to show his justice because without him slaying his only son there wouldbe no forgiveness.

But there is something you need to know, which you may in part, but need to understand fully. God sent his son, you know this. Why did he send his son? To save the world because the law was not enough. "For all have sinned and all have fallen short of the glory of God." "For God so loved the world..." He loves us all and we all fall short. He doesn't hate us- he hates the sin we commit

The idea of a "GOD" means that it is the ultimate power. So nothing created God, because nothing is greater than Him, hence why He is God. And to counter your question, what created the atom with the imbalnce? Did it just magically appear? I find it harder to believe that atoms appeared out of nowhere and blew up, and grew into the universe we live.

Aaron Gillespie is amazing, What a speach. I thinks it great that a man into hardcore and rough music takes the time to talk to the youth about jesus.I hope he realises how much of a difference he makes ... i mean he touches us so much more than a old preacher ( not that im saying old preacher are bad) its just aaron is so awesome .

thats exactly what im saying. he even says it in these videos himself. his believing in the bible is the same as you believing in whatever it is that you believe. he plays music for a purpose and this is his purpose, and to me, thats the most inspiring music of all. from the emo bands that talk about lost friends and girls to the metal bands that talk about smashin peoples face in, at least this band has a purpose in making music rather than just doing it cuz it makes them cool

However I applaud You and praise God that you are being an example toward other people like you said about showing or preaching the Gospel with your life. But if men dont know why we need a savior and what really happened on the cross and how is it that weknow that we are saved,then no one will come to christ or they will accept christ and live like Worldly people.

Not all church's are doing this but the great majority are doing this. We have turned the Gospel into more of a motivation to having our best life now. We think were not doing Good in dicipling people because the great majority that we got "saved" or "recieved christ" dont show up on Sundays. When the problem is actually that they were never converted or regenerated by the Holy spirit and what we thought was a sheep was actually still a goat.

Were not teaching from historical Christian doctrine. The comment you made about the world changing and trying to make the Gospel more acceptable to men is proposterous. We try to make the Gospel of Jesus more relevent to our culture and this is not being faithfull to Christ. This is very dangerous because in 2timothy chapter four, paul lets us know about people not being able to endure sound doctrine but will gather thier own teachers, and thats exactly what happening today.

I stand by my point. Too many people are changing their doctrine to fit modern culture. We are not called to conform. Then there are churches that I very much admire for reverting to the original and true apostolic doctrine.

It is not a scandle, that is merely what society has made it to seem like. The bible has said that the gospel is "foolishness" to the unbeliever. They may hear it, but they do not understand it. There are numerous aspects on which the Jews and apostles agreed, but it was because they interpreted it from a law perspective rather than salvation perspective that it came out differently.

That is rather harsh man. In John 1 John tells us about John the Baptist- a witness to the light. People all around the world have blinders on them and can't see the light. We know it is there, we have removed our blinders, and the light is all around them. We are called to be witnesses through everything we do. Not everyone is going to put up with hearing the gospel directly. So, if we can't preach it directly, we preach it through our actions and lives. We don't want to deter them. Love!

i gew up in the church attended youth group faithfully for many years, and have been on many youth conferences much like this one. i've been around the "true gospel" all my life. so dont assume that just cuz i'm not a christian that what the bible says. in all that time i just never felt god say anything to me, or felt any relationship with him.

So, I want to come down to my final point.
Why is Jesus the word? Because Jesus is all God wanted to say to us. When Jesus summed up the word he put it like this: Love.
The bible was written by a master author- God. You cannot take verses by themselves without Jesus in mind as God's plan for salvation. If you had done this, all of this conflict would not have happened. Please red Romans 8:28-39 and realize just how much he loves us. We live and die for him. He lived and died for us.

This is where im comming from, see I have learned something throught my christian life, and that is that we are not preaching Christ crucified and salvation anymore. We're not preaching and telling men how to be saved, we're preaching and telling men that they are saved when in the first place we have no authority to tell men they're saved.

I think our problem actually goes beyond that, as it seems that in many cases society has become so "tolerant" that the majority of Christians are scared to rise up and even reveal what they are. And when they do, they don't go beyond witnessing. But I know there are alot of revivals going on to change this, and I am very happy about that.

I know Paul Washer is right when he says that the only thing we preach today is man man man man! How can God help man? how can God help us have our best life now?
But when you know the true Gospel, it is God God God God! Everything for God! not all things for men, but all things for God. If God has really saved you, it is for his Glory, not for your Good, but his salvation is a free Gift because God has had mercy on you, and it is not because of works.

I have people hating me that I didn't even know, why? Because they know I am a Disciple of Christ. Then there are others who are accepting of the word. Those who hate it, I live as an example- a Child of Light.

Wow, the last time I read psalms chapter 5, I read that God hates all who do inequity. So how is it that God loves the drug addict?
I feel aaron is preaching a man centered Gospel rather than a God centered Gospel. Everything God has done, he has done it for himself, for his glory. He sent his son to show his goodness, to show his justice because without him slaying his only son there wouldbe no forgiveness.

Oh, I see where you are coming from! I just started reading psalms again a few days ago, so it is pretty fresh. But there is something you need to know, which you may in part, but need to understand fully. God sent his son, you know this. Why did he send his son? To save the world because the law was not enough. "For all have sinned and all have fallen short of the glory of God." "For God so loved the world..." He loves us all and we all fall short. He doesn't hate us- he hates the sin we commit
