@bradpix well everyone has a right to their opinion.... I post my videos because people enjoy them and I enjoy sharing our lifestyle with people that can or never will come to Alaska I am not doing it to impress anyone and I am not getting paid to do it.. I enjoy it and when people personally attack me and my lifestyle it would make anyone get bent out of shape. I do have thick skin, but I have feelings too
cool vid, still not as impressive as Dick Proenneke, it just looks like you are bringing industrialized society to the wild. Chainsaws, four-wheelers just don't fit in with the wilderness, its as if you are cheating to live out there.
@bradpix Who cares what Dick had? I like having electricity and airplanes and boats. I like going on adventures and do not think using hand tools is my idea of fun. I am not trying to IMPRESS Dick's fans nor compare waht I do to what he did. I am not in a competition with Dick. I like to have fun not sit by myself in a cabin for 20 years by candle light. If you think that is impressive good for you! Do what makes you happy, I do and I love my life, I am not trying to impress you
@bradpix good they spend millions of dollars and have no idea what a real Alaskan is all about they are hollywood and use tons of boats and helicopters and film crews me and my husband did everything ourselves HA..2 people I am not trying to impress you so sit in your house and watch your TV, and go to your local dog park for your adventures!!

I am not in a competition with Dick!Everyone in Alaska has ATV's boats ect.even the cabin of Dicks they turned in to a tourist trap uses VEHICLES to transport people

We are ourselves, people that like to fly ariplanes and go on adventures not sit by ourselves in a little cabin living like someone back in the 1800's we like to catch fish and once again mention HAVE FUN!!! If Dick had fun doing what he did good for him if you think that is fun go move in a little cabin by yourself!!
@jdlostcoast1 Me thinks you are in the minority here, sir. If you read anything about Dick Proenneke, you would know that he was an excellent pilot - he DID have fun - and he was FAR from alone. On top of that, he walked hundreds of miles a year in snowshoes. That old boy got around. And if you wanted to push your business, you would do well to give the guy some credit.
@eddiequest4 I do give him credit I think the world of the old guy for walking around in snowshoes but I do not want to live like him!!!! OK Do not compare me or my life to him. The book is called ONE MANS WILDERNESS!! I am not trying to PUSH my business!! I am filming my personal adventures and post them for people that like to watch them. That is great I have hiked 100's of miles on snowshoes to meet a plane to get supplies in the middle of winter I do give him credit he is great!!
