I have always thought this song has one of the greatest melodies of Harrison's career. He doesn't sing this version quite the way that I prefer, but I will say in response to "thunderlord" I can't disagree more with your earlier comment. Clapton, although very accomplished, has never appealed to me as an absolutely outstanding musician. A great guitarist of course, but I think George's influence is apparent in a much broader spectrum of music. He impresses me much more than Clapton.

But I can say that you are absolutely correct that Harrison had a much wider harmonic range than did Clapton, and I do respect Clapton's accomplishments. I will assume that you are a guitarist (like myself), as those of us who learn and play in various genres tend to favour Harrison over Clapton. In any event, the two, Harrison and Clapton, played well together.
