  • (1)'Bret was breaking-down psychically', (2)'Bret was somewhat disputative in the locker room'. Hilarious, especially the first line, as he signed Bret in 2010 and worked a match with him. Those two fallacies belong with the 93,000 at WM 3 claim. Total nonsense.

  • @MattSingh1 WOW you can't be serious. It's like saying bret hart vs vince mcmahon was an actual wrestling match. And signed him to a contact? More like a legends contract. Bret Hart has aged. If you actually watched the story line you would know that. His body probably was breaking down.

  • @SithLordRockstar Erm...this interview was conducted in 1998, so Vince was saying in 1998 that Bret's body was breaking down in 1998, which total piffle, and an out-right lie. I'm not quite sure why you're introducing a totally arbitrary argument, seemingly from nowhere with no rhyme or reason. Vince signed Bret to a new deal in 2004/05 for the DVD, but that only proves me right even more so because Vince didn't get Bret to work until their WM match several YEARS later.

  • @MattSingh1 2010 he wrestled 2 matches and did absolutly nothing in them. You're using that to make a point that he was okay physically? You are crazy.

  • @SithLordRockstar Again, you've not just put words in my mouth, but you've rather strangely made a totally arbitrary argument, based on an issue complete unrelated to the topic at hand. I'm at a loss to understand the grammar of the connection of your point. Something tells me it might not be entirely my fault...

  • @MattSingh1 He signed him to a dvd deal... not to wrestle. And he got in the ring for two matches. He did nothing in both of those matches. I don't even believe you watch wrestling if you believe that Bret Hart could have been considered healthy enough to be a full time wrestler. You said that mcmahon saying Harts body was breaking down physicly was a lie. Then you say that Bret Hart was signed in 2010 as if that means he was still able to perform.

  • Do you have the one in 2004 where he interview vince again.

  • skip to the last 30 seconds to find out vince lied and admits it, then tries to defend it.

  • Landsberg is a pretentious little cunt.

  • he says he´s sad that he signed bret for those extra years? that´s so dumb. If bret didn´t sign with vince then Stone Cold would´ve never blew up as a star. Austin even admits that his matches with Bret changed his life and began his stardom.

  • I think we need to re-clarify Vince's POV on this situation: Vince likely never feared that Bret would take the belt to WCW with him. Instead what Vince feared is if Bret retained the title in Montreal that Eric Bischoff would go on Nitro the next night and announce he had signed the WWE Champion. This may have been a justifiable fear due to the Madusa incident in 95 and the fact that Eric did go to the ring the night after Montreal and subtlety alluded to the fact that he had signed Bret.

  • According to Hart, he had already worked 50 dates more than his contract required

  • wheres part 2?

  • VINCE WAS PROTECTING HIS FUCKIN BUISNESSS...... DAMN STOP BEING BLINDED BY BRET HART AND LOOK AT THE REAL SIDE, NOW I KNOW WHAT WWE SUPERSTARS SAYING ABOUT THE FANS TAKING SHIT SERIOUS. VINCE WAS PROTECTING HIS FUCKING BUISNESS

  • LMAO..............20 YEAR DEAL!!!! damn...... maybe WWE would be better Now a days if Hart would of stayed =0

  • Vince made brett, he can kill him if he wants to

  • what the hell is vince going on about 7:00 onwards..what a load of crap

  • Bret should have did the job period! Vince being so unapologetic about the whole thing is hilarious. Reminds me of Col. Jessup in "A Few Good Men". All we needed was for this inteview guy to ask Vince if he ordered the code red

  • hey guys... abit of a confusing point does anyone understand.. 6m51s...

    1. Bret had agreement with vince it would be a DQ.- Bret is not lying

    2. Vince denies agreeing to Bret agreeing it will be a DQ

    3. Bret thought it was a DQ bcoz he heard it, comeone told him. (Even from vince 7m.33)

    4. Vince admits lying to Bret

Does anyone understand what Vince is saying?

    4.

  • @TheHitVish You forgot one fact. Flair took the belt to WWF back in the day from the WCW. The man had it worked with Vince McMahon to bring the World Heavy Weight championship to WWF! He did that years before so he probably thought with Bret... that why wouldnt Bischoff try the same?....maybe Vince thought he would get some of that karma. So screw Bret so Bret and Bischoff could not screw him. Vince has a sneaky history. WCW had to file an injunction to have the World's belt blurred on air.

  • When Vince says he felt "sorry" that he signed Bret that that contract, and that Bret was a problem, something doesn't ring true. I don't care about taking sides here. I'm trying to use logic to surmise what might have happened. By saying he signed Bret to a 20 year deal and immediately feeling bad about it, he's saying he made a huge mistake. Vince McMahon, if you look at his track record, doesn't make huge mistakes. I don't buy that Bret was a mistake. He was using Bret to screw the WCW.

  • @surfer53 wow.. that is a accusation that seems to be quite predominately true....I agree with you on the fact that Vince does not make huge mistakes.....but then why give Bret a massive career break if his intention was to screw one day? Only Bret and Vince only knows the truth...and it really makes me wanna find out...

Also question is Why would Vince admit Bret in the Hall of Fame then if he used him to screw Bret..also how can he once he worked for WCW...would that breach contract?

  • @14njd14 the key word in the contract is "reasonable" creative control, which means vince would have the final say on what's reasonable or not. Brett was not being reasonable.

  • who gives a shit anymore ppoe,l this was like 14 years ago and bret shawn and vince are all freinds again. bret beat vince ass in real life and then wrestmania 26 move on pepole

  • @tsaleh88 We have moved on we are just trying to figure out the truth because we are wrestling fans. The problem is we will never know who is lying and who is telling the truth. Its an interesting topic to discuss, thats all.

  • @tsaleh88 wow vince let bret punch him, not that much of a beat down is it.

  • @CMPUNKNEXUS100 it was a knock out punch that also broke vinces ankle as well motherfucker so yes it is a beatdown

  • @tsaleh88 bret punched him and vince tripped over briscos foot and brok it and he walked away, if it was a knock out he wouldn't walk out of the locker room like he did, i suggest you look it up

  • @CMPUNKNEXUS100 where can i find this ? Bret Punches mcmamahon?

  • @jerichorocker1234 wrestling with shadows dvd

  • Bret used the WCW card against Vince to leverage that 20-year deal in 1996, so that was always on the back of Vince's mind. He negotiated a deal with Bischoff behind Vince's back, then told Vince what the deal was n put the WWF's back against the wall. N afterwards he thought he was supposed to be the top guy and didn't wanna give the spot up to HBK, who was the younger one and next guy.

  • Vince knows how to run his business he doesnt let anyone tell him what to do or walk all over him thats why wwe is such a success and wcw went down the drain bischoff wanted to make sure everyone was happy and listen to all the superstars bitchin and whining. That didnt work out to well did it. TNA will be heading down the same road.

  • @TheJaydogg1984 IMpact Wrestling is definitley not going down the drain, if anything I see WWE going down the drain. Sure they are doing smart business now with their current age demographic but what happens when the dedicated fans get so sick of the show that they dont even watch anymore. Vince will lose 50 percent of his fanbase. Im not sure of the actual percentage of "real" fans but its got to be at least half the audience. Vince is getting old too. He doesnt have it anymore.

  • 7:43 - and the gangsterism continues. This guy is the friggin don of dons. he's like a mafia boss in a legal business but operating like a Paul Castellano. Holy shit

  • ^1:58 - that has to be the most gangster response EVER!! And he would do it too!

  • One shouldn't be so hungry for respect...one should do the best they can do, in their job, each day.

  • Where is part 2??

  • I gotta side with Vince. Even though i was a huge Hart fan and sided with him in the past. Bret was being a fucking baby. I should feel sorry for him because he got a new job with less hours and a shitload more money?! Hmmm

  • @das9582 true true

  • @das9582 Don't feel sorry for him because he had success after wwf. However, bret leaving was more than money, all he wanted was to leave the way he wanted, which he was entitled to contractually. This was nothing more than bret being given a word, and it was not followed through on. Vince screwed bret.

  • @das9582 Youre a fucking idiot were you not listening bretdid not wanna leave he wanted to stay vince himself said that he lied to bret get youre story strate before you decide to speak out of youre ass

  • @das9582 First off, I respect your opinion and both sides of the story are very convincing but I do believe all Bret wanted was a proper send off. He didnt want to let down his fans in Canada and felt that after all of his hard work and dedication he deserved a happy ending. It was scheduled for him to appear on Raw the next night to give up the belt and say goodbye. Bret definitley would have showed up on Raw the next night. Besides, Shawn was allready over at that point.

  • @das9582 In fairness, if Bret had a clause legally that gave him creative control in the last month of his contract, Vince has nothing. Take that clause out and Vince can tell Bret to do whatever he wants. I agree. It's that creative control clause that Bret talks about that needs clarification. That determines who's right or wrong here.

  • @das9582 good point

  • @das9582 there is no way Bret would have walked out. IF Vince had actually 'ordered' and said, 'this is what is going to happen', Bret would have had to abide by it. Vince repeatedly says he 'asked' Bret, alluding to Bret having some sort of say. If he had wanted to, he could have ordered Bret to abide by his decision, and had Bret 'walked out' of the WWF with the title????? he would have been completely blackballed by everyone and fans. You can't just walk to WCW with the title.

  • breta one of if not the greatest... n this whole ss 1997 screw job is more than 13 years now n vince bret n shawn all moved on y cant we. i think both bret n vince were both right bret screwed bret n a way n vince screwed bret n way

  • You know which side is wrong when one side has to explain things. Bret didn't have to explain anything. When Vince screwed Bret, Vince was the one trying to spin things and change things around to make himself look better when in fact he looked like the most evil crooked person to step face on this planet.

  • So he wanted him till 2018?

  • @theskater1234 2016

  • @theskater1234 2016 he signhed it in 1996

  • @theskater1234 so that no one else could use him whilst he was still in shape, silly i guess :L

  • @theskater1234 Well, 2016, yes.

  • @theskater1234 he wanted him not to go to WCW since he lost so many stars.

  • vince is lieing his ass off right here it was all on audio on the "wrestling with shadows" documentary

  • if bret hart showed up in the middle of this interview the interviwer would end it and suck bret's balls dry

  • bullshit vince whatever bret is the greatest you greedy old bastard arrrrrrrrrgggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • landsburg or whatever is a d bag

  • i don't believe bret would of gone to WCW with the belt he said he wouldn't and bret didn't debut on WCW till 1998 he would of gone to raw the next night and said farewell its just vince wanted to hurt bret and shawn was suppose to carry the WWF but shawn was a shit champion and a faker with injuries i saw the interview with the road warriors and they said the same thing about shawn and vince. Bret was a big stand up to both of them and they didn't like it one bit Bret still rules

  • i agree with Vince about the whole screw job, Bret is so selfish, but I think Vince lied, he did tell Bret there would be a DQ, and changed the ending. He was justified by the way, but he did change the ending, he admitted it. But he had to do it, or Bret would have started bawling like a child.

  • @1pinkman It's not as if Vince McMahon was going to admit that he promised Bret there'd be no DQ,that's for sure.

  • i dont believe bret missed dates bret said he only missed 2 dates in his career

  • Breaking down physically? from SS96 to SS97 Bret was having the best matches of his life.

  • @Lewis1711 Exactly. Maybe not the best matches of his life but his two classics with Stone Cold at SS 1996 and WrestleMania 13, his match with the Undertaker at Summerslam 1997 etc…

  • There's always going to be a difference on opinion on this. Look at the facts. Vince owed Bret alot of money and damaged the hitman character to the extent he couldn't recover in WCW, Bischoff did everything to ruin WWF, his tricks were dirty and with all the facts you can't blame Vince for doing what he did, but it still shouldn't have happened. Everybody was in a hole and no one knew how to get out.

  • i love these shoot interviews on wrestling hope there are more

  • Bret got SCREWED,period

They have both patched up so no use arguing over it

  • @ILuvMcCool read bret's bk KIID...AND THEN PASS STUPID COMMENTS

  • @sagrocket

Er..derz nuthin "Stupid" in wat i said. Mr.McMahon n Bret have patched up to a great degree..u check ur FACTS b4 posting tripe

  • undereatker beats bret hart by a tad pole.... the bret then the mizzzzz

  • BRET KNOWS DAMN WELL THAT THERES NO LOYALTY IN THE WRESTLING BUSINESS, HE SHOULD OF TOOK THE 3 YEAR 9 MILLION DOLLAR FROM WCW BEFORE THAT SHIT HAPPENED. HIS LOYALTY TO VINCE CAME BACK AND BIT HIM IN THE ASS

  • People say that the Screwjob might have been a work. Considering Vince McMahon's acting ability, I don't think he could have pulled off the backpedaling, shame filled, unconscious kind of guilt that is present in this video!

  • @bmcjones It was a work. I can't believe people are stupid enough to think it wasn't.

  • BRET HART IS THE MAN ..........HE IS GREATEST WRESTLER EVER!

STONE COLD AND THE ROCK RESPECT BRET HART.

    HHH IS ASS KISSER

    HBK IS ASS HOLE

    VINCE IS GREATEST LIER EVER.

  • bret hart with all due respect should have kept business on top to his own ego. vince did the right thing. as u can say see here vince says bret breached the contract several times several days before that montreal match.

  • @hardrock997 go n watch HITMAN WRESTLING WITH SHADOWS

vince screwed bret thats the fact...................vince the lier !

bret showed loyalty to vince as he declined the offer of wcw 1 yr before montreal incident.

  • @thezafk Look at the title Hitman Wrestling with shawdows is brets side of the story wich isnt entirley true

  • i lov how micheal at the end when vince was trying to justify his lying to bret, and the interviewer is like "right, hmhm"

  • Stop with the bulsheets McMahon.

    There is no justification.

  • bullshiiit liar hypocrytes
