Is it a rule that everyone use storm, sentinal, cyclops and magneto or is it just because of the combos cause in all the tournament vids I have seen its the same damn character.

They're pretty good. Much like you might think that Third Strike is only Ken or Chun Li or CvS2 is only A-groove Sakura or Bison, they're simply the better characters. Other people use other teams, but it's easier to win with the better characters. =)
