One Saturday night at our Suds drive-in a buddy of mine said he's ready to sell his hard-top Chevelle, sittin in a barn since 82! He never let anyone see it. So he showed it to me and i could hardly keep my composure when i discovered it was a num. matching SS396, & nearly no rust, just a moldy interior. Sold it to me extremely cheap, cause he knew the care i'd give it.Its getting frame off now. I will still own a GTO 1 day!

Course, i wouldnt be able to afford to run it now with gas so high, but back then gas was only 26cents a gallon!

While i drove a pards GTO I never actually owned one, but I did own his ( big bad GTO's) baby sister (brother?) a Sprint with 215 cubes and 210 horses and .. ahem ,,,, we shared the same size valves. Today's high performance motors do it with single overhead cams, dual overhead cams, fuel injection, superchargers, 4 valves per cylinder, extreme tuning and twice as many forward gears as the muscle cars of the 60's had. Back then it was all about internal displacement (cubic inches ` i.e. ` "cubes") and monster carbs with high capacity ratings (c.f.m.). I notice there are no cool songs that being, "Little Toy-oh-ta, your really looking fine." Not!
LOL yeah I was in high school in the 60's, a biggass 400+ cubic inch engine an a dual stage double-pumpin' 4 barrel carb with a cam that was barely street legal was the shit, a 5000 lb car was no drawback if you had over 400 horses under the hood. Gas was 30 cents a gallon then so who gave a fuck.
Now I got a V6 fuel injected Buick that strangely enough does pretty goddamn good.

Still have my 66 GTO, put a 455 in it, and replaced the 2 speed power glide with a 400, without the bottle it rocks ,with the bottle you will pee your pants! Corners really good aswell thanks to some suspension tricks!
So how about Ronny & The Daytonas as opposed to the story of your baby you've been restoring since you were 15. I got a 45 of theirs today 'Sandy' thinking it was the one by Larry Hall. This one's not so great. Wish I found Little GTO rather.
They maybe lighter to save gas and the making of steel. But they dont protect as good as one made of metal. The only thing there is if you get into a car accident the fire department takes longer to cut you out of the wreck? ONe to another

I don't care what's labeled wrong, this cool song is part of life experience! While i drove a pards GTO I never actually owned one, but I did own his ( big bad GTO's) baby sister (brother?) a Sprint with 215 cubes and 210 horses and .. ahem ,,,, we shared the same size valves. Thanks dude, who ever you are! Purty work, just good.

Today's high performance motors do it with single overhead cams, dual overhead cams, fuel injection, superchargers, 4 valves per cylinder, extreme tuning and twice as many forward gears as the muscle cars of the 60's had. Back then it was all about internal displacement (cubic inches ` i.e. ` "cubes") and monster carbs with high capacity ratings (c.f.m.). I notice there are no cool songs that being, "Little Toy-oh-ta, your really looking fine." Not!

LOL yeah I was in high school in the 60's, a biggass 400+ cubic inch engine an a dual stage double-pumpin' 4 barrel carb with a cam that was barely street legal was the shit, a 5000 lb car was no drawback if you had over 400 horses under the hood. Gas was 30 cents a gallon then so who gave a fuck.
Now I got a V6 fuel injected Buick that strangely enough does pretty goddamn good.

AWESOME AWESOME video I am a Pontiac car Crazy certified nut my favorite is the 1965 GTO but I love them all..worst decision GM could have made is to discontinue Pontiacs this was the muscle version of GM even more so than Chevrolet as far as I am concerned Buick should have been cut instead.

My first car was a new 1966 Black GTO, 4 speed, 3 deuces with a 4.33 rear.
Got about 8 miles to the gallon but I didn't care. Gas was 28 cents a gallon!

You need a good laugh? I had a sweet, blue '66 goat for a while, had a pretty lady,too, then I moved out west, and traded it at a Chevy garage I worked at for a VW bug. Sounds crazy.....right? Well, they were both fun in their own right. Both had 4 on the floor. I'd love to have either one of them back. Yea, just relivin' my younger years. GTO's rule!!! VW's pass a lot of gas stations.

Still have my 66 GTO, put a 455 in it, and replaced the 2 speed power glide with a 400, without the bottle it rocks ,with the bottle you will pee your pants! Corners really good aswell thanks to some suspension tricks!

So how about Ronny & The Daytonas as opposed to the story of your baby you've been restoring since you were 15. I got a 45 of theirs today 'Sandy' thinking it was the one by Larry Hall. This one's not so great. Wish I found Little GTO rather.

They maybe lighter to save gas and the making of steel. But they dont protect as good as one made of metal. The only thing there is if you get into a car accident the fire department takes longer to cut you out of the wreck? ONe to another
