  • I wanted Pan's Labyrinth info, not Fantastic Four promo......

  • the actor playing the pal monster did.not need any make up to play that role

  • 1:10 ive never seen such weirdness in my damn life what the fuck is this creature

  • This whole video annoys me and disgraces the beauty of the film

  • sounds like huskystarcraft2

  • i LOVE guillermo del toro!

  • Guillerrrrrrrmo del Torrrrrrro xDDDDD It's ok if you mispronounce it we don't care but overpronounciation it's plain funny

  • tht pale guy scares the shit out of me

  • is the commentator jesse cox?

  • omg i loved this movie. but i didnt know it was the underworld ophilia was the princess of...

  • DUG JOOOONES :D

  • I have to admit, even though they did use computer animated stuff in this film, I love it when they use old fashioned costume and paint. And I don't mind the mechanical movement like for the eyes and such. It makes it look so much more real because the other characters can truly interact and see what we're seeing. Good stuff here!! I also love the Hell Boy movie. Absolutely astonishing.

  • I could tell just by looking at the actor that he played The Pale Man. o.o

  • wait a minute....pans labyrinth is in spanish civil war...as in...before world war II

  • @Kzzori

    Correct.

  • @Kzzori well, the year of the story is 1944, so the civil war had ended, and the world war 2 was ending.

  • @anderworld i thought the movie was in '36 or '39...what can i say...i really need to rewatch it...

  • @Kzzori hey don´t worry, it´s all right.

  • @mardisaurus It is actually 4 years after the Spanish civil war and that's it. No revolution or anything.

  • More specifically it's based around the Spanish Revloution, not the events related to spain and ww2.

It's such a beautiful and sad movie. I cried so much.

  • @mardisaurus Well to be a smartass, a lot of people think WW2 began with the Spanish Civil War. And they would be technically correct. Germany, Italy, and Russia were all deeply involved. Germany had a tremendous stake in it because had it fallen to the Reds, they would have had to invade Spain at some point.

  • oooh, scary fairy!

  • The narrator pisses me off

  • does doug jones actually speak spanish?

  • @TheFrozen7 In a word, no. He did learn the lines for the film and worked with a dialect coach to get the pronunciations correct. In the end, Del Toro chose to use a voice actor to dub over Doug's lines. His work was rewarded, though; his work to ensure that he had his pronunciation accurate made the dubbing of the lines easier and more believable.

  • @videopossum ohh ok he did a great job

  • Ashamed to admit it, but this is the only movie I can't watch a 2nd time. Even if it wasn't a true horror movie, it scared/disturbed the hell outta me. Awesome movie nonetheless.

  • yeah RUN NO DOUBT !!! Gross w/ him eating the fae's though. Dang ~

  • the part with the monster at the food table was funny

  • I loved this movie, but it was so sad, i only could watch it one time. i spent almost the whole night crying after the movie ended.

  • Most of the new world speak Spanish, keep those good Spanish movies coming

  • What is the name of the song at 0:23?

  • I laughed with the hand-eyed man xD hes a bit funny when hes walkin and if he scares me I just imagen him with a mustache ^^ muaha xD

  • @BillinaGoneHumanoid hahahhahhaha with a mustache i m laughing my ass off :D

  • THE LITTLE GIRL IS SO CUTE MY LIL SIS WHO IS 11 LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE HER ... even the same hair style lol ...

  • I can't figure out if the movie had a happy ending or a sad ending. They must want the audience to decide.

  • Doug Jones- TOTALLY gay!

  • @bubbly221 hmm you think? i thought the manscara was just to bring out his eyes :)

  • great movie

  • everyone named guillermo is awesome

  • The people who make movie's like Pan's Labyrinth, which features an innocent little girl falling in love with Pan, are sick-minded, demonically-inspired, sexually-perverted, evil individuals as far as I'm concerned. The evidence speaks for itself. There is no downplaying the facts about Pan. The occult has always been synonymous with child exploitation.

Pan is Satan — the god of sexual deviance, rape, and torture!

  • @MsTruthbetold2010 Haha seriously? Shut the hell up. Your arrogance and disregard for art is more perverted then anything I saw in that movie.

  • @MsTruthbetold2010

    Hahahaha, your stupidity amuses me

  • @MsTruthbetold2010 where you raped in the ass by Pan? he did not use lube ha!!!! the motherfucker!

  • @MsTruthbetold2010 lol, looks like you just described the church, not the movie. :)

  • i nearly shit myself when that thing started running after her i was like ahhhhhh fuckkkkkk!

  • after seeing so many praiseful comments on this movie, I was expecting something... more.. I don´t know, it´s not like if I don´t like it or what, but it wasn´t really about Ofelia.. Ofelia´s part was maybe 20 minutes of the film, and the rest was about the captain and the war. so, for me, it was a war movie with an Ofelia´s side story..

  • What's the name of the song that starts at 0:22. Please somebody?

  • he said: set on world war II spain????? its not possible, is it? The fucking movie is about Spanish Civil War fucking morons,,, shiiiiiit

  • Don't try th fuck with it. xD

  • whatever it is has been photoshoped....i see part hyena maybe.

  • loved that movie

  • Guillermo del Toro is one of the best Mexican directors/producers.

  • What is name of the song that starts at 0:24?

  • director and writer Guillermo Del Toro is Mexican

  • The actors are spanish and the place are spanish.

  • si tienes razon.

  • Pues en esta pelicula uno de los productores más fuertes fue Alfonso Cuarón también, así como la dirección de arte , fotografía y vestuario fue mexicana.

  • @BarcelonaSpain100 yes indeed but the director of the film is mexican :D

  • @BarcelonaSpain100 You're a fucking retard. There's no such thing as a white North American. BTW this film was made by a Mexican.

  • its more like PG 30

  • i watched this last night, and it was wonderful! very well done

  • he's sooo jack black in nacho libre lmfao..

  • hello every one¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @8thanu8 hello?????

  • i cant wait to see this movie!

  • kickass movie!

  • WW2 Spain? It's set in the Spanish Civil War, a totally different war!

    /history nerd

  • No, it's WW2. Those Spanish dudes in gray are allies with the Nazis and there are also Spanish resistance fighters.

How do I know this movie is in WW2? Because I watched the movie and the Axis Spanish soldiers carried around Luger (or Walther... Couldn't tell) pistols. Later, the resistance fighters were discussing the Allied invasion, specifically naming General Dwight D. Eisenhower.

  • No.

The Spanish Civil War started before WW2, and overlapped with it. Franco, the fascist Spanish dictator, received aid from Hitler. However, Spain remained neutral during WW2, which royally pissed Hitler and Mussolini off. That's why they're carrying German pistols and talking about D day.

Spain never entered the war. They are two different wars.

  • Hm. :/

I guess I can't argue with that. But it's essentially set during WW2 if the two wars overlapped.

I mean, when one thinks of the Spanish Civil War, it would give thoughts about cavalry charges and muskets which is probably why they used WW2 instead of the Spanish Civil War. But yeah, I guess I was wrong. My bad.

  • cavalry charges and muskets? i dont know where you comin from jack

  • Whattt. Come on, don't you think of horses and muskets when you hear 'Civil War'?

  • Not really. Too many civil wars in the world to stick it in one era.

And again, they DIDNT choose WW2 instead of the Spanish Civil War. This movie was about the Spanish Civil War, and only about WW2 insofar as it was connected to the Spanish Civil War. Besides the fawns and faeries, the movie is vaguely what the Spanish civil war looked like.

  • The neither the allies nor the axis fought each other in Spain. Two different wars.

  • I watched the film at school (in a Spanish lesson) lol and i LOVED it especially the freaky monster with eyes in his hands...

  • i didnt get this movie at all it was just so weird

  • i hate fantastic 4. eww gross :P

  • No, it is not copying. It's actually a really old story-- far older than Harry Potter. The director pulled it from notebooks he had been keeping for more than twenty years. The script was influenced by Lewis Carroll's "Alice" books, Jorge Luis Borges' Ficciones, Arthur Machen's The Great God Pan and The White People, Lord Dunsany's The Blessing of Pan, Algernon Blackwood's Pan's Garden and Francisco Goya's works. Not Harry Potter.

  • @iWearAmask This is way much better than the Harry Potter series in my opinion.

  • I am sure there are many stories that have all those factors as well but it does not mean it is copying harry potter.

I am a very VERY big harry potter fan but i didn't draw that connection at ALL when watching this movie..

  • something like it but other things make it so different

  • Dude, seriously. Are you that dumb? Because, just because the kid is a main character, three tasks and a character thats in the movie for 6 minutes seems like voldemort... Doesn't mean a thing.

  • @trpamhrh3 Whoa. No, no, no. Harry Potter 4 and Pan's Labyrinth are complete opposites. Nice try though. ;)

  • Damn, wtf. If I wanted to watch something to do with the F4:2 I'd go look it up. They could have had the decency to at least talk about it more rather than some other movie. :/

  • the movies in spain why did mel gibson make the passion in hebrew....CUZ THEYRE JEWISH!!

  • Del Toro is hispanic, so his movie is Spanish. The movie takes place in Spain, so why should the have to speak English? Spanish makes more sense, and for those of us that do speak Spanish it improves the viewing.

  • Del toro is mexican como yo

  • bien dicho!!! chinga!!!

  • yeah, I hate dubs (except in cartoons and anime) I'd reather watch a movie in it's original language and read teh subs. I can't watch an american movie in spanish, just as I can't watch a mexican movie in english, same goes for any language, I'd rather watch it in it's originality. and pan's labrynth was amazing, I thought it was pretty amazing.

  • he's Mexican

  • i thought it was a look inside the movie of pans labyrinth not shitty silver surfer

  • @martoss1000 yeah agree wit that, but saying shitty silver surfer? lol. bastard.

  • man that child eating monster has got unsteady legs, I think if you just shove him over he would be helpless to get back up

  • Judging by all the little children's shoes in the corner, he can apparently get back up. Hahahaha.

    I hate country too. =)

PS, I don't wanna sound racist to Americans, but is this voice over/reporter whatever you wanna call him, slightly making fun with every tongue n cheek cut? He sounds like a complete jerk. That speaking tone is really bothersome.

  • yeah he's just not good at reporting it's really annoying

  • ohhhh I was so MAD at her for stopping and eating those damn grapes. How the hell hungry can you be?!? Didnt she see all the little girls shoes in the corner? Right away, I woulda been like AWW HELL NO!!! Why he got a collection of girl shoes??? There aint that much feet fetish in the world!!! And that scary ass thing sitting there alone woulda made me lose my appetite anyway. I was like RUN RUN RUN OMG HES COMING RUUUUNNNN!!!! sigh. wow I was freaking out. lol.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA I had the SAME reaction HAHAHAHA hahahaha

thank god I am not alone yelling at movies...

  • @lerinnenatalia dude I agree who would do that but I would go straight up to the pale man get the knife she found and stab him 50 fucking times! and if that didnt work I'd steal his eyes before he put them in XD

  • @lerinnenatalia the food was enchanted, it's just like the story of Adam and Eve and the forbidden fruit basically.. like Eve had everything but she did eat the fruit anyway..

  • @lerinnenatalia if you RECALL, she got in trouble that night from ruining her dress and her mom made her go to bed without dinner, so she was starving. It's all about the details! pay attention.

  • Wow EINSTEIN! I better wake up EARLY in the morning to get one over on you! You are SO PERCEPTIVE....ok Im being sarcastic.

We know that already. Your not saying something that people dont already know. I dont care how starving I was, the sight of that monster woulda took my appetite straight away. And btw, she went one night without eating. That hardly counts as starving. She was warned about the danger she would be in. She should have never stopped and touched that food.

  • @lerinnenatalia yeahh Really? No I think she was totally right for eating the food!! I mean, those grapes looked REALLY DELICIOUS, it was TOTALLY worth it. *rolls eyes* Thanks captain obvious.

  • what are u talking about? Youre the one stating the obvious about how she missed dinner?!? "its all about the details remember". And it sounded like in your last comment, that you agreed with her for eating the food cuz she was "starving". So what are you talking about now? Whats obvious to you? lol. ok your kinda stupid. Your comment was def stupid and it added nothing to the conversation. I dont even know what your talking about anymore. have a nice week froggy, This convo is over.

  • @lerinnenatalia ,i guess what we can all learn from that scene to run

  • @lerinnenatalia i had the same thing i kept screaming into my stuffed animal because i thought it was going to be one of those evil guy pops out of no where things but i think its scarier seeing him coming up behind. who knew grapes could be so intense

  • @themaxster100 "who knew grapes could be so intense" lol!

  • @lerinnenatalia

The food has some kind of magical effect on people and draws them in. And if she didn't eat the grapes, it would have been pretty boring :P

  • @MUSlC1213

Im not mad at the person who wrote the script and had her eat the grapes. Obviously that was a memorable scene and if I were the one writing this film, I would of had her eat the grapes too. It was one of the scariest parts in the film. Im not talking about bad story telling, Im talking about good acting. She played that part so well I felt I was actually mad at her for doing what she knew she wasnt supposed to. If she didnt eat the grapes, we wouldnt even be having this conversation

  • @lerinnenatalia

It was a time of wars, everyone was hungry besides not even her family could afford sweets as grapes

  • @lerinnenatalia pale man scares the shit out of me!!!!!

  • When I was watching this movie and Ofilia was running from the scary child eating pale man or something, I was like screaming " RUN RUN!! "

and freak out cause thing is FRICKING SCARY when it runs after you!!

  • 11:12 it freaks me i was like omg!!!!!!!!

  • It was a very good film. He was the one who made the orphanage isnt he?

  • beautiful movie the goat monster freaks me out

  • you mean, Faun? geez, goat monster

  • i think he is cool

  • i saw the movie it was tight

  • It's not WWII Spain. He had it right the first time - it was the Spanish Civil War.

  • Yes, but keep in mind it was the 1940's. So I can see where he got the mix up, with this being the time period of fascist regimes such as Spain and Germany.

  • in the movie i renember a part where, they was like sumthing about U.S soilder landing on normandy and president eisenhower. But i don't renember spain involve in WW2, but i think spanish civil war is the main thing in this movie.

  • You're right, Spain was not formally apart of WWII.

But Franco was an ally to Hitler, informally (you know, on a friend level. He agreed and disagreed with Hitler on some points). Hence, the cruelty of the Spanish Civil War.

    That's how they are connected.

Wow, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who is loving history mixed flawlessly with the mystical elements in this movie! I am lovin' it! =)

  • I absolutely LOVE this movie. And Doug Jones is just AWESOME!

  • Man, this is crap. Love the movie but this is terrible.

  • yeah I really agree

  • I watched it. that thing is a fucking masterpiece.

  • del toro said that pan wasn't actually in the movie, that the fawn wasn't pan

  • We want more ....

  • guillermo is the man

  • ...u R a pussy wart......

  • we thinkin of the same hitler? adolf? cause u seem 2 b very uh... not on the right page...

  • I suggest we hold an election on who gets killed off.

  • i dont think incredible is the right word... n ur really wrong. one of the people killed off or sons may have found a cure for AIDS, another for cancer, etc. infact, if hitler was able 2 succeed in his plan, there would b no Pan's labrynth, no internet, the people who invented that wouldnt have ahd the education 2... also, take away ur computer the computer is in 1950's, and home comps r very later. and coloured tv. and movies, infact friends who wouldnt been born if hitler succeeded.

  • incredible yes. but in a bad way

  • i think your opinion would be a little different if it was you facing extermination...

  • LOL well i'm assuming i'm not in that time period of history though.

  • go back to 1930 and leave us all alone

  • um, are you on drugs dude?

  • haha no im not i just think weird things ya i know LOL

  • hey, is that the same "doug jones" from the retarded policeman (Mime) episode?

  • This movie is one of the best movies. It deserved all three Oscar awards it got. I want those people's autographs!

  • That narrator is SO annoying!

  • primeval not evil...

  • by FAR my favorite movie. :)

    brillant. :)
