If I had to choose between 5000 and the 4000.. I would still go with the 4000... Work flow is so much easier and find that you get more for your money with the 4000... But that's just my opinion... I did lots of research on the mpc before stepping into it...(was a MV8800 man.. but limited midi)... I would suggest that you google it... Best thing you can do... the 4000 is a BEAST.. in studio and on stage.... do lots of live shows with the mp and NEVER failed me....

Man son! I got mad questions.. Help your boy out! I have a MPC 2500 midi up to logic 9. I have such the hardest time working with patch phrasing, one shot, note, trimming,16 levels, etc. you name it! So, I'm saying all of that to say ya ish is hot son! Please help a brova out wit jus choppin to the level of how your track sounded. Hope you get your cam fixed soon.. having sum problem with it! think u cud help? ok so i use ableton live right to record,

but after say ten mins when am using vsts for usin sounds to use on my mpc pads,

the sounds go off, like dont work... and i duno what that is?:/

Well, software... I can't help you with... I do everything on hardware... But what's wrong with ur mpc.... You should be able to just connect audio cables to your ins and record.... but message me, I'll tell you the sample I used... My studio isn't completely up yet.... So wouldn't be able to send the samples... but the Original is Crazy...

Thanks DUDE, Still trying to get the hang of sampling.... I normally make my stuff with synths but wanted to do something Christmas'Y(ish)..lol and the only thing I could thing of was this... this was Improvised... took my about 30min (including chopping).....
