  • happened to me too

  • me too.by replacing the whole screen & digitizer did the problems still the same.thought of changing the whole screen & digitizer?anyone ?

  • same problem, I am not alone. Palm is kidding us!!!

  • i have the same problem! i got mine yesterday worked for 10 minutes, enough time for me to leave the store and it want stop! so now i have to go all the way back, wait hours for them to see me, just so they can say come get 1 in 3 days! >:L

  • It's bc your using a generic charger . That causes the problem . See it all the time . Sorry to break it to you , but you gotta use the standard issued charger . :]

  • @v7z730ib Actually, I was using the Touch Stone. Also, it started doing this within a few hours of ownership, so I highly doubt it was anything that I did to it.

  • Why waste your time and even put this on youtube

  • Why waste my time with your comment?

I posted this to show some users in a forum the issue that I had with mine. I'm sorry that I forced you to watch it and wasted your time.

  • get your lady ass to get a new palm pre

  • The Capacitor matrix is making contact with the lower shield. It happens (only) if excessive pressure is applied to the phone. You should stop intentionally trying to break your phone, then airing videos about a 'manufacturer' defect.

  • I promise you that I didn't press excessively hard on the screen. I barely even got to use that first Pre before it started doing things all its' own.

  • @Frykte no i just got a brand new palm pre yesterday, as soon as i left the store it started doing this, and it did this when i cut it on for the 1st time!

  • also doch warten bis 2010

  • its a manufactures defect. I had to replace 3 iphones same shit man, not every device is gonna work. I have had problems with my current phone the touch pro so I replaced it. You should be under waranty still. Take it back and get another one.

  • I took it back the very next morning after it started doing that. Still waiting on Sprint to get more in so I can get another one. =\

  • dude you got a faulty phone they can't all be perfect there will be some faulty units just return it asap and stop bitching sucks that it happened to u but it did stop crying over spilled milk clean it up grow a pair and move on then post a video that's worth some attention stop wasting youtube server space this is a previlage stop abusing it with pointless videos, you think you're the only 1 with a faulty unit., there r more important issue in the world then you're pre that u can return

  • Honestly, where did you see me "bitching" and "crying over spilled milk"? I wrote practically nothing in the video information, and was simply posting it so others could see what a defective screen looks like, and also know that they're not alone if theirs is doing the same thing.

    Go away, troll.

  • i want this phone, too. but it dont give in germany. give me some one from usa the phone

  • Das teil hat 1. nen netlock und 2. gehts hier nicht wegen anderer frequenzen

  • My screen doesn't do this. I hope you guys have your screens provisioned via an update soon!

  • I have the same exact problem. Really pissing me off. I hope a software update fixes it.

  • @cgarrett1974 My phone started doing this after 9 months or so. Software updates did not fix it. I even restored it to factory settings, but to no avail. When it was about 5 months old, I inadvertently put it into a water-filled (but not running) washing-machine for about 2 minutes. When I removed it, the screen was on and behaving as if it were being touched, quickly and randomly. I immediately removed the battery, and placed it in front of a fan to hasten drying. Worked OK for 4 more months.
