(sigh) This band is the epitome of atrocious. Their careless use of predetermined, musical arrangement, via auditory communication, is that of amateurs. Give me some; 'Panda Stain', 'Hotel Juice Box'... Even 'The Majestic Exteriors Pompous representation of Post-Homoerotic Literature'... One of my most adored composers over this gaggle of delusion.
i really hate that i can't legally drive down to Jersy to see them at the Stone Pony, and none of my family is likely to drive me, so im stuck listening to recordings, not that those arn't great
@MusicFiend2310 I've been battling depression for the past few months, I've been using the Gaslight Anthem, Springsteen, Joe Strummer and Social D to get through it
First of all, you rarely see Letterman that exuberant about a guest. Second, coming from a rustbelt town, Cleveland to be exact, I used to wonder why my Detroit born dad was so into Springsteen and Seger and the songs they wrote, or why I was for that matter. The reason why is because the music is honest, unpretentious and accessible, much like the cities they represent. Gaslight Anthem is cut from the same cloth and I appreciate it.
geeze, i dunno what it is, and people who've seen them live can attest to this i think, but there's something so accessible about these guys. Even though you don't know them, it's like you seem them do so well here and you can't help but feel proud of them and happy for them.
It is because they are still human. They make music because they love it, not because all of the fame, money, or the women. Brian constantly attributes his talent to his faith in God and I think that is why people love them. They are so true to themselves.
do the black sweaters have something to do with some policy about tattoo's or something? I love their Humbleness too, they are in a subtle way something fresh
Saw these guys in Detroit last week and they killed it. Really really great show. I didn't realize they were getting so big! Saw them last year at a small bar in detroit and they were the opening act so they are definitely getting popular quick.
I love how I've never heard ONE negative comment about these guys. Like at ALL. They're gonna be huge and thebest part is that they're so humble it won't go to their heads.
Awesome. Please do me 2 favors. First, tell them they're amazing. Second, try to persuade them to play Maxwell's in Hoboken. They would tear that place apart!
It is a magical beer when you ask Benny and Alex how many more local shows can you play after doing it since you were 11 years old and then I can watch this again and again... amazing moment in time - best wishes, Dave "the other drummer" from Bearing and the The Surefires
its true, but now they are going to play better venues. like in toronto, they're playing at the opera house, which in my opinion is the best venue them to play. its small, but big enough that they can get a good crowd.
The guy w/ the drum sticks in his hands, yes Letterman that's the drummer... lol

Would have been amazing if the bassist had of just destroyed big Dave at the end there.

What's the type of guitar Brian is playing? Is that some kind of Gibson?

Gibson - some Les Paul variant. It almost looks like one of the stripped down Gibson Les Pauls.
