Great video. I remember watching this in the model shop which led to me getting a Rough Rider when I was 13. I still have it. I should dig it out and get it running.
remember this from back in the day and I cant still remember almost shitting myself till I could get one, lol still got mine and with the new one coming out a chance to get parts again that dont cost an arm and a leg on ebat
Yep, the Rough Rider re-release has been confirmed by and advertised by Tamiya. Due out in July. Should be 20,000 Yen (200 USD / 135 GBP) from Hong Kong resellers. I'm loving the idea of a Sand Scorcher re-release. Cheers, Alistair G. (Live_Steam_Mad)
I had a sand scorcher and if I remember the radio gear and the speed controller where housed in a clear polycarb tub that was fully water proofed with a rubber o ring on the lid and Dzus type fastners, remember building one at 5 in the morning one christmas day, think it was late 70's or early 80's,built like bloody tanks and with proper oil filled shocks that you built yourself, oil and everythink, would put most of the modern stuff to shame coz most of the suspension and running gear was aluminium
This video went viral on Nay Pyi Taw

This is unique in being the only Tamiya RC promo without the American salesman voiceover.
I've just ordered the 2010 SS rerelease and can't wait to start reliving my childhood (and tearing up the sand dunes of Saudi Arabia!)
