Lol, its called experience in administration and in beaurocrasy, size is of no import, Obama has NO leadership experience at all. Palin was on city council beginning in 1992 then to mayor then to oil board then governor for nearly 2 years, not one. Obama on the other hand didn't begin until 1996 in state leg, which is nothing more than a sewing circle, when he did show and wow he has 145 days of actual experience in the US senate, yet not a single accomplishment, mediocre to the core Obama.

At the time of this rally (September 13, 2008), no one had been talking about those subjects - there has certainly been a lot of discussion since then.
If you make less than $250,000, then you won't pay more income taxes under Obama's plan. That's my situation, at least. And if the rates do go up, I'll be as pissed as the next guy. Maybe more. For now though, I take him at his word, which is more than I can say for John "Say Anything to Get Elected" McCain.

However, at the time of this rally (and those comments), the McCain campaign had devolved into ads about celebrities, lipstick on a pig, Obama didn't visit the troops, etc. These were not serious subjects - they were distractions. I agree. It's so beyond belief that she can parrot a person with enough skill to rise to the position of President, if need be. It's frightening beyond belief that so many of my fellow Americans can't see through it. I think the way out is a revolution--of education. If more people were capable of critical thought, fewer people like Palin could pull the wool over peoples' eyes and incite them to violence by appealing to their baser, less beautiful natures.

Too bad the don't know squat, everyone of them misstated the truth. It's hilarious, you can always tell a Kos reader from an intelligent voter. Palin did not veto the bill to allow teens to get abortions w/out parental consent, she didn't promote creationism in schools, she is more experienced than Obama and she's #2 on the ticket. Under Palin Alaska has a $5bill surplus, these morons wouldn't know the truth if it jumped on their face and wiggled. Obama is most liberal in Senate when he shows.

Lol, its called experience in administration and in beaurocrasy, size is of no import, Obama has NO leadership experience at all. Palin was on city council beginning in 1992 then to mayor then to oil board then governor for nearly 2 years, not one. Obama on the other hand didn't begin until 1996 in state leg, which is nothing more than a sewing circle, when he did show and wow he has 145 days of actual experience in the US senate, yet not a single accomplishment, mediocre to the core Obama.

While your point is valid, its use is not. The McCain campaign has made a big point about Palin's popularity in Alaska, implying the rest of the country should love her (also). Kind of like a celebrity selling toothpaste. The premise itself is complete bullshit, and so is her "Most Popular Governor in America" myth. Her poll numbers are dropping here, McCain is heading for the bunker, and real change is coming to America.
But Conservatives will still exist, unfortunate that may be...

Her numbers really only began to go down after McCain picked her, then the partisan police went to DefCon 1. I love Alaska very much, and the one thing I love most, aside from her beauty, the fact that even in a very conservative state, you don't see a "yes man" mentality. Like myself, Alaskans are VERY opinionated. + WE DON'T HAVE THE DEATH PENALTY. Yes, there are those who would want to change that, but they won't. Murder is murder. Who commits it is immaterial. Yet CA, a blue state DOES.

Sarah Palin is not ready for the job of V. President. I could not sleep at night knowing that she is just a drop away from the Presidency. All she is doing is blowing a lot of hot air. Also I think as far as a mother she does not represent that vey well either. Dont underestimate Sarah Palin in the VP debate. She is going to surprise people. I dont think she will beat Biden, but by doing better than expected, she might win over many votes. After all, she is practicing a lot right now with the Republicans. And I am a Democrat, so dont write back thinking that I am Republican.
