  • this movie was 1,000,000 times better than precious ... not to mention any michael jackson film music video or anything from racist Kanye west ...

  • I have to say Stephen Lang is one seriously underrated actor. He portrayed what a real lawman should be, honest, straight, tough but fair. And he went to see Billie even though he didn't have to in order to deliver a dying man's last words. Now that is a man John Dillinger would have respect for.

  • @danstrummer Get your mouth out of the toilet !! He is a lawman who is just a cunt. All cops are cunts. They're not tough but fair. They're just hard-hearted pieces of shit.

  • @TheLecheMilk Read what I wrote before you mouth off. I was praising the actor and how he portrayed a lawman how they SHOULD be. Not are, SHOULD.

  • I too, cried when I saw this scene D:

  • good movie, soundtrack made it a grreat movie

  • what the song when he says bye bye black bird?

  • @MOnkeyJoker902 Elliot Goldenthall. JD Dies.

  • Bye Bye Blackbird...

  • Every time I see Johnny Depp get shot at the end of the film, I wish it was my worst enemy being shot in the face.

  • @TheLecheMilk dude no spoiler alert :(

  • This is actually funny

  • this is the same guy as in avatar!!

  • @MrEyetoeye Its also Ike Clanton from Tombstone

  • In the end that for a melody?

  • Wow he lost weight for his new role. I really like his character in tera nova.

  • I love 1930s and 40s , that is why i love fallout franchise and pre-war movies.

  • I'm getting bye bye black bird tattooed on my back just because I love John Dillinger, the 1930s, american gangsters, and Johnny Depp. <3 c:

  • her eyes look like dakota fanning's eyes when she was little!

  • Kept replaying it at this part when I watched it.

  • 240p, we meet again

  • I cried, it's so sad. :(

  • i seriously cry when the cop told her John Dillinger's (Johnny Depp) last words: "bye bye, blackbird". :(

  • @LilMizzKiwi1 i love you for that

  • This scene is so powerful all by itself. But the music is what lights the fuel on fire. Props to Elliot, he's a great composer. Great movie!

  • How God-like is Stephen Lang?

  • The music is the best part I think it's adds ally of touch

  • i love this ending

  • NO COMMERCIALS..... NO MERCY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • plz plz message me to tell me what is that song called !!!

  • @nicksmth33 "bye bye blackbird" the song they were dancing to in the club

  • @nicksmth33 "bye bye blackbird" the song they were dancing to in the club when they first meet each other

  • tragic .-.

  • Has any1 realize JD is John Dillinger also same goes for Johnny Depp? Interesting.

  • @Uchiha307 Yea I noticed that right away

  • J'adore Marion, Elle est tres belle actrisse

  • and after this sick roll.... he played the asshole in avatar.... great.

  • what did he mean by saying bye bye blackbird

  • @TOW3RA In the beginning of the movie when the two first meet they're dancing and her calls her blackbird, "like the song" that's playing in the restaurant that they're in. So telling the agent to say, "bye bye blackbird" was his way of saying goodbye to her.

  • @TOW3RA in the movie they were talking about a movie with a little black bird and the bye bye part was in the movie befor he die so bacisly he put both together bye bye black bird hoped i helped

  • he said: bye bye.. blackbird

    EPIC MUSIC

    TEARS

    PROFIT

  • i understand i may you suffer now you may me suffer love my wesley

  • i understand i may you suffer now you may me suffer love my wesley you r my bird

  • i hope we can fly away my wesley

  • @heitogsaftig it was composed by Elliot Goldenthal, you can download it, I rock it on my Ipod daily.

  • Steven Lang is an awesome actor... I don't think they could have chosen anyone better for this part.

  • I just watched the film a few days ago. It's wonderful but this scene is so sad. :(((

  • In real life, she must have cried herself to sleep every night for god knows how long. How do you find the will to live your life when the man who loved you truely is taken from you. Such a horrible tragedy for her. I feel for Billie and John. RIP the both of them. I hope they are reunited in heaven.

  • Villains of Inception vs Avatar in this clip.

  • What's the name of the song they play after he tells her what JD says

  • @Lidog2 "jd dies" by elliot goldenthal

  • @Lidog2 It has no lyrics, it's just composition from a jew named Elliot Goldenthal and they usually name the track the scene in the film like "JD croaked" or "Tell Billie for me...."

  • AWWWW! Bye, Bye, Black Bird was the name of the song that they danced to in the beginning!

  • Every time one of my friends doesn't wear I'm scared that they might get ticket from the dumb ass cops!

  • is this for real or did hollywood add it?

  • @threatz911

I think Hollywood added it becuase I am working on a reacurch paper about him right now for school and so far I have not read anything about it. Two books said he died before he hit the floor. Most say he died at the hosptol. Hope this helped.

  • haha all i remember her is from inception and i get scared everytiem she get son screen

  • Who is that actor? I thought he was a real stand out in the movie.

  • @Louvonbeetoven cant remember his name, but he's in Pandora, the older marine

  • @rhcpfrush420 His name's Stephen Lang, and he's bad-ass :-) He's also Ike Clanton in Tombstone.

  • man i hated when he died :/

  • the change of her facial expression at 0:30, though so small, is just so real and magnificent, the outcome of one great actress. Really brought the ending so close to me.

  • What is the name of the music? It's driving me nuts!

  • @themanwithnoname86 The music is: JD Dies by Elliot Goldenthal

  • gives me chills everytime

  • he was pretty badass

  • she's gorgeous..I wanna fuckin marry her

  • I wish Marion was my girlfriend - she is perfect.

  • I Fucking hate cops!!!!!

  • I think it was a great idea having Stephen Lang's character, whom you didn't really see that much of in the movie give Billie this final message from John. I'm sure there were allot of people whom felt it should be Purvis. They made the right move, well done.

  • This is an absolutely outstanding movie. Very well acted. very well acted. i have watched it more than 15 times and I still want to watch it. God bless you Johny Depp. Great character.

  • @lickmyleftball The day Mr. Depp passes on will be a very very sad one...this movie alone makes him one of the best actors to ever live

  • 'Tell Billie for me: Bye bye, Blackbird.' it is very touching!!! i cried in this scene!! great movie!

  • all you pussies crying over a movie scene, get a life.

  • @bigbrian340 I think I need to get a life!

  • @bigbrian340 Better my life than yours. Honestly.

  • @ShadowwDrizzt yea cuz my life is actually worth living and yours is well......kinda a waste of time. so just watch this video like you were doing, while trying to figure out how "your life is a waste of time"

  • @bigbrian340 Well if you don't want yours to be a waste of time too, stop posting such stupid comments about other people to show how better your life is.

  • @ShadowwDrizzt are you my elder? answer that.

  • @bigbrian340 -Says the kid who actually goes out of his way to write comments like these.

  • This is unberlivably good. it all begins with Bye Bye Blackbird and ends with it as well.

  • this scene made me cry. :p

  • @Xemily55X me too lol

  • I cried my ass off with this scene.

  • Really great movie... It got me so deep that I wrote a song about it. Leonard Cohen style... Will you alow it as a video response ? I mean...I don't see why not, it's related to the movie but after all it's up to you...Here it is. Called Baby Black Bird :)

  • Manly tears were shed

  • what john was trying to say with "bye bye blackbird"?

  • @chellmaris You gotta see the whole movie. In the scene where they first met.

  • LOVE IT! I saw the movie yesterday and I wanted to cry so badly! But I saw it with my dad and cousin so it was'nt the smartest thing to do...

    Johnny Depp <3

  • Got big time goose bumps when I first saw this scene!!!

  • I actually started tearing up during this scene. LOVED the score too!!!

  • What is the name of the song being played.

  • OMG LOVE tHIS movie hate this ppart but love it.... the only mobster with class

  • General quaritch is one mean mofo!

  • noooooooooo the avatar dude wasn't satisfied so he had to go back in time and kill john Dillinger!!!

    FO SHAME

  • The usual quality moody ending from the superb Michael Mann. Nobody delivers such great endings that leave you watching the credits.

  • she should so play catwoman!

  • Oh my god!! Is she the same woman who plays Mal In Inception?? ^_^ She's so pretty!

  • @MagicTomb1 Yeah same actress

  • @MagicTomb1 In France we don't really like her. But as an actress she is awesome in both Inception and Public Enemies.

  • @ShadowwDrizzt Why don't you like her?

  • @karolka0203 Well I can't really explain. Of course a lot of friends may like her, but I think it's her manners, the way she talks. You want to hit her when she speaks. But I guess this is just from some people's viewpoint. Like I said she is good as an actress.

  • @ShadowwDrizzt Why not if i may ask ?..

  • @ShadowwDrizzt

What a nonsense! France simply loves Marion Cotillard! She is even called a 'national treasure"!

  • @amadv Yeah but there's a controversy about it. Many people really like her, but many cinephiles don't.

  • i love my pretty bird my wesley

  • @MagicTomb1 yes She is

  • @MagicTomb1

    marion cotillard. she's french.

  • than you of fine my wife

  • than you of fine my wife my wesley

  • i did say this to the gir my wesley

  • @MagicTomb1 Yeah, it's Marion Cotillard

  • sad ending by wesley

  • Marion Cotillard, a rare case of beauty combined with great talent

  • awwww :(

  • this was just SO sad for me... :'( so sad! especially how his last words were him and billies song...when they first met :/

  • I loved this movie :D But at the end in the credits it says she died in his hands in I think 1950.....but he was dead, that was the only bit that confused me.

But it was a great movie with great actores =)

  • @tokiohotelc111 no the fbi agent melivin purvis (christian bale) shot himself in 1960.

  • @bantermelon no I was talking about at the end of the film she died in Johns hands.....That why I was saying I was confused and everything :P But I prob got it wrong x

  • @tokiohotelc111 nope. John Dillinger died in 1934 when he was 31 years old unfortunately.

  • i wonder if John Dillinger reallly said this when he died

  • @magicTHEgrixis I don't think he did. In real life he was shot from behind while running in an alley and died instantly.

  • @thekiller678 he did relly say those words there was a show bout it the other nite

  • @airsoft396 I''m pretty sure he was killed instantly in an alley. He was shot from behind and I doubt the FBI had any interest in what his final words were

  • I must admit i held back some tears. Especially when remember the moment they shared when that song was playing. Awesome film from Michael Mann.

  • someone tell me who is the guy actor in this scene?

  • Stephen Lang. Who was also the villain in Avatar

  • best scene of the movie and when johnny depp died

  • i thought that was a great movie with great actors and a great story line a it was also dramatic

  • I don't think most people realize how deep this scene is. This is a scene of ultimate despair. This is a scene that shows that evil prevails in most cases. Even though Dillinger was a criminal he was a good man at heart. You rarely ever find a person nowadays who is that strong as a being. May JD R.I.P. (even tho he was killed a very long time ago it's still relevent to say that. And also I thought Johnny Depp did a excellent job, same for Christian Bale!)

  • @MrDillonB19 LOL I agree when I learned more about dillenger he wasnt all that bad to me! like when he was robbing a bank in the film and this man emptied out his pockets and JD said "Im here for banks money not yours put it away" LOL I can hear the real JD saying somthing like that! why do you think the public loved JD so much he was a charmer w/ carizma! cops even took pix w/ him like he was Elvis lol too funny! JD was the man may his soul RIP.

  • Track down the 1 guy who dislike the video XD

  • Too bad this bit didn't really happen.

  • ey, thats the guy on avatar

  • classic gold film ending scene..thats how all old school films ended

  • i cried i cant even lie i did ..

  • they got the best actors for this film

  • Awesome scene.....and perfect movie...;))

  • Cotillard gave a very strong performance in this movie.

  • This scene always makes me cry. I feel so bad for her at the end. She loved him and they shot him. The music was wonderful in this movie as well. So powerful and dramatic.

  • the guy has been in avatar and "the men who stare at goats" aswell

  • bye bye blackbird...

  • great move

  • HEEEY tis that mean guy from Avatar. I knew I saw him somewhere before.

  • thats where i recognised him from :O thanks!

  • @TheVlogSister

Did you see "Tombstone"? He was Ike Clanton in that one, and he was great in it, too.

  • yes hes always a bad guy but i love his bad guy rolls..

    tombstone

    fire down below

    gettysburg

    gods and generals

    public enemy

and list goes on and on

  • whats the title of that track??

  • ah, marion cotillard has the most beautiful eyes.

  • This is the part where i started to cry

  • I have watched this scene a dozen times, the acting and background music is superb, I wish Stephen Lang would have had more of a role in the movie, he,s great....

  • At the last part of this movie when he got shot, I didn't think I'd cry. I was wrong; I was bawling my eyes out, the baby that I am when it comes to movies. And at this part I cried again after I had just finished lol

  • @dennisonearth, yeah for real me too, i get goosebumps EVERY time i watch this scene.

  • Oscars please!

  • @Usman0611 Word my friend. Word. You know it's a great scend when you can feel it from the audience. "Bye Bye, Blackbird". And the music that goes with it makes it that much better. Beauty.

  • @theatlantean2 Exactly.........The Academy award committee is full of donuts......amazed this wasnt even nominated.....

  • @Usman0611 Agreed!!

  • I can't watch this squished screen of this amazing scene. Ruins it for me.This scene makes the whole movie worth it. It hit me like a freight train!

  • @dennisonearth

Stephen Lang is the MAN. Check out "Tombstone"...his Ike Clanton is great.

  • IT'S THE GUY FROM AVATAR!

  • Yes, I thougt the same! He's from Avatar!

  • He just wanted John Dillinger's Unobtanium.

  • ROTFL~!!

  • @GoldenColts God that's why I liked this movie, when I saw that badass I was like "Yeah, this is going to rock !!"

  • Stephen Lang a.k.a. SA Charles Winstead is my most favourite character in the whole movie. This guy ROCKS!

  • how can you not love that character. he kills dillinger but still has the honor to tell billie his dying words.

  • it was intense when they showed the camera to dilingers back when he wwas walking in the slow motion with guns pointed at him with the music..fucked up,,why couldnt they just snatch n grab him and arrest him..ugh lol

  • so intense

  • because they had lost enough agents in the forest, enough cops outside banks and all other innocents who got caught up in the crime wave, Johnny wasn`t going to change, and if you remember they tried it your earlier in the movie at the hotel. Class Film though, love Michael Mann.

  • @ Leg3ndKilla687 they were intally going to arrest him, but Dillinger tried to draw a gun on them and police are trained to engage targets with weapons if their lives are being threatened, and since Dllinger killed a bunch of people earlier in the film there's no doubt he would've fired on the officers
