  • The legendary John Denver! Still as golden even after all these years!

  • That was very powerful. We miss you John. Thank you for such a great legacy in word and song. Your spirit soars among the majestic Rockys with the Eagle and Hawk.

  • Amazing, awesome. His music influence the 70's as a better place.- Dave

  • Lo ed!!

  • Great Prayer.Thank you for John's music.Trying to warn against polluting the earth.

  • And Amen and Amen!

  • For all those that responded to JD's video. EXPECT kinder, nicer behavior to one another, when we see one another @ the store, anywhere. Try it. It's simple. Pure tee kindness. A wave, when one let's us out, in the parking lot. SIMPLE MANNER'S.

JD sang that to us, simplicity. He got to sing that to everyone, around the world. Here we are, still......... God help us.

  • @bN59167 I totally agree with you on this. JD wasn't perfect, but his heart was right, and doesn't God look on the hearts roaming this earth to try and find ones that will walk with Him, like David did? What this world needs now is love, sweet love. Love - outgoing concern for the welfare of your neighbor! Let's give it a try, it can only help!!!!

  • What a special person and singer he was. No one will ever come close to being like him. He's no longer with us, but his music lives forever.

  • gone from this place but NEVER forgotten. What talent. So much to give. Apparently God needed a tenor in His choir. Who are we to argue.

  • Yes, he was very special in his caring heart for the earth and in his music which expressed that love so well. I remember the day he died, I cried a lot that day, it was a sad day having to say goodbye to a dear friend whom I'd never even met!

  • @HaileynGramma

You put it well ... a dear friend whom I'd never even met! I still get teary-eyed when I listen to him.

  • @KristinDH I sometimes listen just to go back there, when I'm in that frame of mind, longing for better days which are only getting worse in this life, well, apart from Christ and his wonderful government. JD will awaken to better days ahead for everyone and for planet earth and on beyond!

    May God bless...

  • @HaileynGramma

    I'm still crying......

  • @HaileynGramma Very well put in deed HnG. That is truly how John made us feel. I felt like he was a close friend of mine who believed in the things I believed in and loved this earth and all it's beauty and he gave thanks through his music and tried to teach us all some important lessons. He was not perfect, but he had a beautiful soul. My youngest son died 2 years ago and he gets to sit with John and listen to him sing beautiful songs whenever he wants. Rest in Peace Roddie and John~

  • Loved this. I know why God doesn't want us to cast EVIL behind us because God didn't give us armour for our rear. We are to put on the armour of God and go head on into battle against EVIL. Bible verse re armour of God is in Ephesians 6

  • why was the embedding taking out? it's kind of hard to share when it's gone!

  • I love this video. What a wonderful tihng to learn and to share. It was beautiful.

  • ... Watatashe! ...

  • John Denver was a very beautiful sweet soul and I miss him dearly. His Love for the people and the animals and the planet Earth was second to none. His musical ability made him one of the greatest of all time.

  • We all miss him. John was a good one.

  • Type in youtube for spiritual food from The Bible, Tomorrow World A.M. Samuel

  • Daisey...the Lord's Prayer is ...The Our Father.....

  • haha, did anybody else find themselves doing the signs with him for fun? What a great guy he was.

  • Amen!! that was beautiful!

  • What did he sing after this?

  • @yeps2468 OH I was waiting for John Denver to sing the song with the signs; Does anyone know if that is on you tube. I am horrible at asking google anything; toooo discriptive and Do not know how to shorten and get answers. Duh!! I am lacking PC SKILLS.:-))) OH THIS IS SOOOOOOOOO WONDERFUL. THANKS TO ANDY "B" for sharing this on his Holy fb Wall; but guess what; OMG it was taken off and made us come here. WEW!!! THANKS for allowing us to witness this most beautiful event, AWESOME!!!<3 to All

  • WHAT !!! ???

    ....Did somebody say something !

  • John Denver made good understanding about the Lord's Prayer,

  • Gone too Soon.... :( I Miss John Denver.....

  • Interesting. Thanks.

  • This is the first time I've seen this..It was great...I saw John Denver in Austin about this time circa '82, I wish this would have been part of the show. Love it!!

  • I am deaf, and I got a great thrill and laugh out of this! Oh, and I am of American Indian heritage, too!

  • I am deaf, and I got a great thrill and laugh out of this!

  • I love John Denver and I love this. I saw him in concert in the year before he died. He sung his heart out.

  • Loved it!

  • This is just beautiful... I've watched over and over again to learn it myself. Just goes to show that God is universal.

  • I do agree with the comments raised about Christmass, it is an invention by the RCC the pope was the one who came up with it, just have to read the Catholic Encyclopedia, the term Christmass is from the latin Christe masses this is the reason for the Catholic Mass to be celebrated 3 times in the same week.

It has nothing with the biblical theame around the birth of Christ, the RCC wanted to make it compatible with the pagan celebration of satanalia, and Mithra worship, a way of making the

  • @godsplumbline Roman Catholic Mass accepterble to them by having the celebrations of the mass co-inside the dates of the winter sabats.

  • This is great! Nothing beats the Lord's Prayer! I love Jesus!

  • Remember how I cried the day he died? John flying in the wind, to meet his maker catching him up, in the arms of the Creator who made the Heavens and Earth John Love so much.

  • Thaannkkssss, John-n-n. And thanks for the post from..the 1982 tour in 2007. What a gift to leave to those who love the Creator of Creation. OUR Father after all these years.

  • What an awesome performance. John Denver's spirit will always exist as long as people like Kristin DH makes his music available to us. Thank you. OneKewpie.

  • Beautiful. Stop arguing and proselytizing and just appreciate a lovely story, will you all?

  • Great story teller.

  • Thanks John

  • JD was wise. Not old, but died wise. Very few men will ever be wise even with age.

  • Oh God, I still miss him.

  • @autumnbreeze52 Me too, me too

  • This was aewsome...made me laugh...love it

  • I have had it with christian war making, non-talking, miserable little people. Can we get back to Humanity and the wonder of creation already?!

  • Love learning the signs to the Lord's Prayer. Great way to teach children the Lord's Prayer.

  • This has helped me learn the Lord's Pray and a great way to teach children the Lord's Pray. Great teaching tool for young and old children. Loved it.

  • Guess what gojugray, I am going to send out some prayers for you!! In the meantime God bless you, and rid the predjudice in your heart. Amen

  • Thanks for sharing the video. John made it fun to learn something. A very gifted man. Wish there were more like him around these days. Again, thanks for posting.

  • I think this is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen....( and he made it funny)

This man was truly a gift and he is still so very loved and missed......

  • i would like to see more of this, thanks for posting this.

  • That man was not just a good singer but an amazing storyteller too.

  • I miss John Denver

  • Awesome video, thanks Joan. Check it out friends

  • we all need to live in the moment...we can have peace...happiness...and most LOVE....

  • Most of the greatest poets and songwriters were tortured in their minds in some way. As for all the god stuff prior to this - get over yourselves. If you want to believe stories, believe them, but don't force them on others. For so called 'christians' there are some sick and vile comments here. You cannot convert a soul by beating them with a bible, you'll only do it by first LIVING and SPEAKING LOVE in a way that will inspire people. John Denver would have wept at your attitudes, you're a joke.

  • A very Wonderful ARTIST very well missed!

    God Bless You John Denver

  • He was not cast in the film "Oh God" by accident.

  • John was always showing and teaching us to understand other walks and meanings of life. I think this is a beautiful understanding of his warmth and caring and his wonderful teaching skills to all. Surely our father in heaven welcomed home a wonderfully gifted and talented spiritual singer of truth. We miss you John but will see you in our next journey.

  • Bless yerself John! we all miss you! ♥

  • You know Im not what you would call a religious man. Nor do I call myself a Christian. But, I do read the bible! In which he said I am always with you. Very few people on this planet make me think of (can I say my lord?) him.

John, (what a good name!) in the words of his songs, I do, I hear and see! Some ask if he is in heaven or hell. To me this is such a dumb thing! How can you not know, with a certainty?

    What a beautiful things!

    Thank you for this video!

I hope I can say God Blessed You!

  • He was quite the comedian at times, much missed

  • This made me miss him more I think. That he could embrace such grace from other walks of life to his own unique way, and still be so attuned to nature without the cynical attitude that often develops.... well if I should be like him I would be pleased.

  • He really is one man that is sorely missed

  • God bless. I hope to see John in heaven too!

  • He'll be singing to us as we enter.

  • @fbrown172 oh I hope so!

  • Very nice.

    Thanks for posting.

  • when he signed and said "give us" , for some reason it reminded me of just how much i miss him ....

  • JD actually crashed in a "Long EZ" which is a powered aircraft. He had recently purchased it from a Dr who had made some modifications to that made it one of the fastest of its kind. The fuel tank selector switch had been relocated and needed a pliers to adjust it. It is believed that as John tried to change to a different tank the craft went into a dive. Because he was flying very low to the water he did not have a chance to recover before crashing.

He should have fueled before flying.

  • He died in an experimental prop plane I believe near the cost of Santa Barbara!

  • Jesus answered, "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." --John 14:6 NIV

Did JD go to heaven? If he repented of his sins, and accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior, yes. Did he? I don't know. Only God knows. The important question is, have you?

  • I miss John Denver. His was a great message.

    Love God and Nature.

  • CaptKundalini - and love one another too.

  • Amen to that. :)

  • To all those who've convinced themselves, & are trying to convince the rest of us, that JD is not in Heaven because he embraced Buddhism: There is a HUGE difference in being religious and being spiritual. Surely, JD was a spiritual man. What we've come to call the "Lord's prayer" is actually a model prayer presented to the disciples who asked Jesus, "Teach us to pray." As for his final destination: "who hath known the mind of the LORD?" Only God can answer that for us.

  • @steelmagnolia58 I guess God forgives those that grow to a point , do good in the world and do not hear his calls to grow any further. Anyway the way he does this seems to show that he does believe in God or at least Gods spirit which is a start and it is better than being rotten, so God was probably pleased with that.. maybe not that he did not hear his calls..who knows except God.

  • I am sure he is in heaven - with a gas can chained to his neck!!!! C'mon John, +20 years as a pilot and you DO NOT fill the tanks before a flight!!!!!!

Denver often said he was not religious - but he was very spiritual and was a big believer in God!!!! Good answer!!! What has killed more people than all disease and war? RELIGION!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • People have been killing each other in the name of God since the beginning of time!! The Twin Towers and the following car bombs and human bombs are just incarnation of killing in the name of God - it has been consistent throughout the history of man!!

You show millions killed in wars that lasted a few years - there are THOUSANDS killed monthly - for thousands of years - due to their religion!!! The war never stops! (The Holocaust was caused by killing for religious reasons – NOT war!!!)

  • Heaven is filled with such great souls. Let's be sure to get there.

"Love one another." - Jesus Christ

    .

  • Wow, we maybe should try to learn to speak with signs, and there would be a whole lot less confusion

  • I thank God that we were privileged to have John Denver.

  • He tries to teach us with music but also when he speaks..... always tries to teach us we can always be better than what we are. The world was a much better place with him in it and he is greatly missed!

  • Loved it!

  • I pray that he truly found the peace he was so earnestly looking for..his life was filled with ups and downs like us all..he was such a talented man...I pray that he is now singing with the angels....

  • How can you be in heaven, when Yeshua brings his reward with Him? not Biblical. Also if you look at his life, to repent means to quit doing the things that are against God's commandments. Do you think he was. no he was a drunk! and abusing god's grace. good songs, but sad life.

  • the bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of God's grace that means you too. who are you to judge the last moments of his life. You don't know what he was doing just moments before his death a life time of sin is forgiven in the blink of an eye shame on you for placing yourself in the judgement seat of God! if we could quit doing the things that are against God's commandents as you put it then we would not need the blood of Jesus to cleanse us it is faith that saves us

  • john 14 and revelation.

  • Loved the sign language explanation. Got very frustrated when the clip ended just as he picked up his guitar. I wanted to hear him sing it, also. Is there another video clip for that part?

  • He picked up the guitar to sing his next song after this. JD didn't sing this part- it looks like he is but he's just going to the next song. It is not cut off.

  • Wow this is wonderful. I didn't realize he was such a good teacher. He uses his sweet charm & humor to explain & it's very memorable. Thank you so much for sharing.

  • How can you sit around telling lies! then sat God's prayer? sad that people think God is so un worthy.

  • That doesn't make sense. I'm not lieing about anything. I'm praising God for a lovely something great!

    @_@

  • Comment removed

  • You sound like a matrix person,do you even know jesus is not his real name! it is Yeshua! I said John D. sat around telling LIES! then his friend taught him the Lords Prayer! How sad, and unworthy this sounds of our Jehovah! Why would you be called black sheep? that means trouble! Do you have pagan christ-mass? easter? ect. you are pagan too! and Yeshua does not know you.

  • Comment removed

  • I've barely said anything. Christians turned Christmas around it's CHRIST mas. I'm celebrating Jesus being born! It doesn't matter what pagans started. I'm celebrating God. I don't answer you YOU. I answer to God!

  • He was not born on Dec. 25th! this is Nimrods Birthday. Have you heard of Babylon? you put a tree in your house don't you? this is pagan, and does not have anything to do with our God. I think you should research, and come out of pagan Babylon my people, Rev.18

  • @mattandpatti222 you've been BLOCKED/MUTED.

  • @blacksheepgirl Do you answer to God? His spokesman, the Apostle Paul, warned Christians: You are observing special days and months and seasons and years! I fear for you, that somehow I have wasted my efforts on you. Gal. 4:10&11 He was worried that their keeping Old Testament days was because they had misunderstood the Gospel. If the festivals God once set up are now invalid - how much more pagan days He never told us keep. Celebrate God as Gos requires! Deuteronomy 4:2, Exod. 25:40

  • @armedconventicle Paul was God's press secratary? I believe we are all God's spokemen, if we listen to His still voice. Do not spend one second concerned with how other believers celebrate God. You are living under law and rerquirements my friend.

  • @blacksheepgirl Please keep in mind that when you say "Christians" did this, or "Christians" did that, you are encompassing hundreds of millions oif people who are NOT all the same!! It wasnt Christians who "Turned Christmas around" it was EVERYONE ELSE!!

  • @emjee Well what i'm saying is if you don't know God what person would you have to want to celebrate him. That was what i'm saying. :o

  • @blacksheepgirl well i feel like they did for God not any other reason. Not for trees or santa.. just for the commemorating of The Lord Jesus' birth.

    =D

  • @blacksheepgirl I didn't mean to sound so aggrivated. I was frustrated.

  • @blacksheepgirl drurywritingdotcom/keith/christmas.history.pagan.htm

  • @blacksheepgirl You go ahead and celebrate Christ-Mass... but Christianity is just a bastardization of religion. If you don't understand history, you don't understand the history of humanity. We are all pagan... gods bless us.

  • @yomenm No, we are not all pagans. Jesus came to Earth to save and redeem. He is the only way to salvation and to the Havenly Father.

    ~BSG

  • @yomenm God is not someone's imagination. God made all things and was never made. He existed before the world was made. Open your heart to him. =-0

  • @blacksheepgirl i'm going to change my statement a little bit. I feel like God's people have been celebrating his birth for along time. Why look at the first Christmas when the angels sang and then about two years later it seems that the wisemen came to bring gifts. Isn't that celebrating? It really is the meaning of Christmas after all. The reason for the season.. the Lord who was born to bring a gift of salvation so we can be saved. I'm glad he loved so much that he died so we may be saved.

  • @blacksheepgirl So I suppose in a way I'm wrong because ppl were worshipping Christmas the moment the Savior was born. I'm glad Jesus came to bring salvation and life eternal. Dear Lord thank you. I'm not educated in many things, but one thing I know is who my God is. What he did and why he did it. It didn't just end at his birth, or at the cross. He lives forever and he reigns. You can be his too. Just cry out to him. He'll hear you. Don't wait.:O) He will embrace you and love you. x =0)

  • Thank you very much, sweet Ava!!

  • Where there is faith

    there is love.

    Where there is love

    there is peace.

    Peace that is a blessing.

    Where there is a blessing

    there is God.

    With God

    there is no need.

  • Very well said!!!

    Thank you for sharing!!!

    Most grateful!

    Minerva.

  • Awesome, and so sweetly funny. How I missed him! Can't believe he's been gone 12 years :'( *snif*

  • Oh thank-you for sharing this wonderful video. I loved listening to John Denver tell the Lord's Prayer. He had a sweet way of expressing himself. So sweetly done.

God bless his soul & music always.

  • I've never seen that before........

    It was Awesome !

  • i agree wow

  • Good job John. Class act.

  • I miss John Denver so much...

    This is beautiful....

  • John is so good here. Truly a great act. I pray that he is saved and in heaven right now. Check out Don Piper 90 minuites in heaven and see how real God is.

  • we love you rip johnn denver..

  • Beautifully spoken! Sharing National Sunday Law by A. Jan Marcussen=)

  • Let's remember Him today, Father's Day. He truly IS our Father, and He loves us infinitely!

  • bigbadfilms WHY would you say such a thing...?

  • beutiful!

  • I remember John doing this in 1982 and was awed by it then. Have never seen it since, so am truly amazed to discover it here and find it as good as I remember it. He was truly the best - what a loss.

  • I am amazed. I never knew that John Denver did anything religious. I thought he sort of worshipped nature. This was great.

  • He was a man of nature but I found him to be a very spiritual man.

  • Jesus said,"Go and find the meaning of the words,'What I want is mercy, not sacrifice' ". The major religions teach "do to your brother as you would have your brother do to you". Sounds good to me. Thanks for this beautiful video!

  • @delise54 Easter.. for example is just time of remembrance. Is how I see... it. YEs we remember when we partake in communion, but we also remember then too. :) They are not more important than God.

  • John Denver was a Christain but Rovian9 is of the devil and a false teacher:

    Ephesians 4:14 As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming;

Colossians 2:8 See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, according to the tradition of men, according to the elementary principles of the world, rather than according to Christ.

  • Looks to me like he got it. Nothing wrong with what he says here and he is promoting the truth that Jesus spoke. He and his music make me think that he was close to God. Just tonight God spoke through his music to me. I believe he is in heaven. Whatever false views me may have had, the Bible says all you have to do is call on the Lord and I believe he did. He was too close to God not to have.

  • Dear Rovian, I am a scientist who is also a christian - here is a story of a famous scientist called Hermann bondi- he is famous for being the author of the stady state theory of the universe (the one that proceeded the "big Bang") - I met him long after his theory was considered defunct but he held on to it! The point is that science often claims to be objective but is developed by people with ego's like all of us so it is rarely completely objective (in my opinion).

  • Part 2 As to God not exisiting - science can never say that because by definition he is not subject to the scientific method ie experimentation which can be repeated, therefore, philosphically there is no way science can prove or disprove science.
