I have to agree that it is really intuitive. While not amazing it says something about Apples design. When my first son was 4 he picked it up right away and now my 9 month old is good at figuring out how to change songs and move pictures.

@karadreaming - I think you are missing the context of this iPhone video. It was made within a day or two of the first iPhone release. Likely the very first "iPhone baby" video so it got more attention that it possibly deserved. I'll grant you that. It was not an attempt to be proud of my son. It's about the iPhone and how easy it is to use...a baby can do it. Then in the other video I posted a couple days later he had observed me enough to know how to get around the menu. Hope you can rest now.

What a bright little baby! And what a happy Dad. I especially liked when his mother validated his naming the people in the photos. Dad is very interested in his son being a techie and not so interested in what his son is seeing. The baby's manual skill is the same as that of a child turning the pages of a book. Your boy is exceptionally verbal for his age! Try tuning in more to what he's observing - it's interesting plus he will benefit from being appreciated for his own interests & abilities.

i didn't really have to teach him how to flip photos because he saw me do it once and it was just like we were flipping pages in one of his favorite books. And then he would watch me and see which button i pushed to get to the photo and the steps I took to do that - and he did it with very little encouragement. The iphone interface gave him all the expected feedback and encouragement he needed. Now if he will ever learn to just go sit on the toilet before he makes...that will be amazing.
