As far as post-punk is concerned, I much prefer the sparse, atmospheric, gothic, ghostly, disco-flavoured pseudo-industrial, proto-new wave stylings of Joy Division, as opposed to The Smith's pop-flavoured softer-side-of-alternative-roc­k consigns of depression.

However, I have to admit that this song strikes the same resonant chord as nearly anything from the Joy Division catalogue.
