Lara croft doesn't even wear that much cloths anyway in the comics. in case you didnt know the games are based on the comics. In the comics lara croft shows a lot of skin in her outfits and she isn't always serious. She is pretty playful and taunting.

...well dunno about comics, but in games i've seen her being too much serious, concentrated on her job...if she ever allowed her smile a compromise smile, then it is only drawn by fans communtites on fan pages etc...but OFFICIAl lara croft that were made by Eidos never smiles...official lara croft is female version of Duke Nukem...thats how things used to be...

Eidos also worked with topcow comics to make her. So I don't know why they had her smile in the comics but not the game. In legend and anniversary she smiles but in underworld she is a lot more serious. Also in legend she tries cracking a few jokes around the croft manor.
