  • Hard to believe he is playing in the NY subways these days!

  • I can really feel this one....

  • It bass 3 string. !!

  • i think ive heard this song about 3000 times now... this is just... floyd man, your the reason im playing blues...

cant say how much this song means to me.

  • Saw him on the New York subway! He was amazing!

  • John Lee was relaxed sitting on stage with his awesome blues guitar rhythms playing and rumbling voice. I was a bit young for Crown Royal , but , for both us it went down

well. He was very generous with his many head nods to solo and had great stories between tunes. It was all about the music , but , also about the fun of the blues....The real Heart and Soul. His smile could warm you even in a snow storm. Boom Boom -Boom Boom - Heyyyyy Heyyy !

  • @StellarChi

    sounds amazing

  • Go to "Floyd Lee with HarpoJon"..some time.

I was blessed to Jam with Floyd and

his Boy on the Streets of

Manhattan when I was in my mid-thirys from time to time.

He much like His Famous Cousin John Lee Hooker

were true Blues Genius Innovators. They helped invent the Blues !

I was lucky to play with John Lee

in 1973 near Boston when I was 16....

    ( GiGi's in Stoughton, Ma.)

    Blessings ! HarpoJon !

  • @StellarChi

:O What was it like to play with John Lee Hooker?!

  • the nec-plus-ultra of blues ... forget your sorrows, empty your head and enjoy...

  • Heard him on Sirus, 70's hits, his music is the real thing- Blues! I love it.

  • Lightnin' is a good description of hearing him play. i was struck and now i'm hooked.

    -- ricky

  • Joel's the real deal.

  • magnifique blues

  • Floyd Lee is a true master of the blues. I play a little harp, I luv the blues. The first time I heard Floyd play "Mean Blues" it blew me away. I posted a cover on it with my harp, but I still have a lot to learn. When I heard Floyd play " I Found a Love" it totally blew me away. I 'd love to play a song with Floyd some day, If only I could get good enough. Floyed Lee... you're the man, luv your style it's the best. If you haven't seen Full Moon Lightnin, see it you wont be disappointed. 5*****

  • YEAAAAHHH!!! THE BLUES!!!

  • OMG !"

  • What guitar is that with all the buttons?

  • I believe it is a Harminy...

  • Indeed a Harmony. It's the H59-1

  • Harmony H59, Sunburst, single cutaway & 3 pickups, a wonderful vintage 60's guitar, very vintaged played...

  • @BHStar its a harmony a lot like the one the black keys uses, if you havent heard of them you should check them out.. there what turned me onto blues, them and jack white

  • @liljdude94

Hey thanks man, I really wanted to know that ;).. Harmony is the brand that makes guitars in an old Gibson factory right?..

Anyway thanks.. Oh and if you like JW check out It Might Get Loud.. Cya

  • @BHStar Old Harmony. They're not buttons, they're knobs with IIRC volume, treble and bass controls for each pickup.

I think. Don't quote me on that. Dan Auerbach from the Black Keys also plays one.

  • when they went to thunder bay i met them we went to eat they are awsome
