  • one of the first songs i ever learnt

  • Dudley Dell! Quote unquote! (Radio 4 show)

Why was Dudley Dell on the B side? The other track should have been!

  • Dud's falsetto is faultless! Who woulda thought he could keep it up throughout? And pitch-perfect

  • Wow! Thanks for uploading. The first tune - with his singing - He used it a snippet of it for his moppets show - But this version is so much more interesting. And BTW it is VERY difficult to sing and play in intervals!

  • Thanks so much for this. This seems to be a rare creature - a tune (Strictly...) I know and love that this is the solitary version of on YouTube.

Anyway...doo dooby-doo n doo dooby dee doo n doo wah, Daddy!

  • Thanks for uploading this! Love Strictly For The Birds. I pretty much like anything where he "sings" or whatever, hehe!

I like hearing the record sounds. On mp3s I don't but there's nothing like record crackles to set the mood of a tune once in a while!

    Duddly Dell really rocks!

  • Yes - sorry about the crackles! But it IS a piece of plastic that's nearly HALF A CENTURY OLD (Oh gawd, I DO feel OLD!)

  • I really like Dudley Moore, both in comedy and his musical genius. It does take some clever thinking to successfully and seamlessly combine the two together.
