  • Pulao in Sanskrit called Pall-Anna = Pall(Goat or Lamb Meat) + Anna(Rice). So how Pulao can be vegeterian!!

  • not to be racist but i thought hindu's couldn't eat any meat because it goes against religion, i ve seen him eat meat on other shows all the time!

  • @deltaenforcer93 A lot of hindus eat meat despite it being against their religion, it is their personal choice there is no compulsion. Just like many muslims drink alchohol. Infact I know some muslims that are vegeterian as well..it all depends on the individual,.

  • I have never made pulao in a rice cooker...but wow now I will!! I always strive for a aromatic and fluffy pulao but it all boils down to how the rice is cooked...koodos for this ingenious method!!

  • The mint looks like a really nice inclusion. I like to make a simple pulou using basmati rice with finely chopped potato, tomato, garden peas, chickpeas, spring onions and diced chicken. I sometimes fry the whole spices & onion in ghee to give a bit more flavour. I must try using mint!

  • All i can say is thx, i always loved cooking but never had the real oppertunity, i jus happened to move to another country. I try out your dishes 1 per day and they come out so well. Your way of cooking is so simple yet so tasty. I think your love for cooking is shown in ur dishes.

  • Yes we always use Rice cooker to cook it. It prevents Rice from breaking and cooks it evenly.

    Don't worry toooo much...you already have back-up food "cheerios"

  • I made Veg pulao yesterday. It was the best pulao I had ever made. I did not use rice cooker. I used a very tight fitting lid vessel. The sourness with the curd gave the pulao a very distinct & good taste.
