When I was very young, I knew this kid who absolutely amazing at basketball. Tournament teams, every thing. Thing is, as everyone filled in, this kid that used to be dominate was absolute garbage: too small, too weak, etc. I have no respect for kids who go around trotting their 9 year old accolades and posting slideshows on Youtube about it. By the way, to prove my point, his swing is garbage. He's 9, benefit of the doubt, but don't build him up this young

He has good follow through at the plate. He also is able to keep his eye on the ball right at contact - very important. There is a player on the Toronto Blue Jays - travis snyder - who is a good hitter but he started to pull his head away just before contact and he struggled at the plate as a result. He just go sent down to triple AAA and he is probably done with the bluejays as a result.
