  • I assumed something like this had already been done, since I know for years now you have been able to get a photograph reproduced on the frosting of a birthday cake. I wonder what the difference is??

  • The fact that instead of trying to transfer a thin, printed sheet onto a cake, you can print directly on it. Also, custom designs on cookies and other foodstuffs can be done MUCH more easily, and with less errors.

    Yes, but this was the first time that such a machine was built entirely from the ground up for this purpose, and not by rebuilding an existing printer.
