  • BUT BEAT'S SERIOUSLY DO RULE!!!!!

  • @TheNLRL Noooope, you are just brainwashed by the media

  • YES...

FINALLY SOMEONE GET'S IT, OR THE JERK IS BEING SARCASTIC!!!

  • This is one of those times where youtube needs a hate button

  • beats have crap sound

  • People, like I said beats are better than THESE headphones. I should now for two reasons, one, I try many different headphones and second, my moms friend pat who is a d.j. works with many artists like he's going to work with eminem this year and jay z the next. NO LIE, and he said beats are amazing. beats aren't the best but their pretty good in my opinion (better than these)...

  • @TheNLRL

Well if your moms friend says so it must be right. Beats Rule!!!

  • @RAWRxBLUEDINO1028 ok but your not hating on beats that's good

  • Dude that's just two freaking Speakers near your ear why don't you stick two wheels on you foot and call yourself a car==

  • @gundam008321 What in the almighty fuck?

  • "Truly out of the head listening experience." (alright, cool slogan, lets see this shit) *shows headphones* (Ok, at least they weren't lying)

  • Every one who is disliking beats should shut the fuck up why do people have to hate shit just cause its expensive the only reason u hate these are because your jealous that you can't afford these

  • @Monster8242 i own $40 headphones that outclass beats solo. i also own $150 headphones that outclass both studios and pros. i own $600 headphones that make beats pro look like shit cakes.

  • @Monster8242 This is a video of the AKG K1000, which goes for 1,000 to 1,300 USD. This needs some serious power to play, so a power receiver or a dedicated headphone amplifier is a necessity, increasing costs. The cost of a beats headphone is insubstantial compared to these. Perhaps you are commenting on the wrong video.

  • @Monster8242 What makes you think I can't afford them? Just because I don't want to waste my money on some of the worst-sounding headphones for the price doesn't mean I can't afford them.

  • @Monster8242 more like we'd rather spend our money in better ways. c'mon you can't seriously believe the gimmick

  • and you know how stupid you would look wearing these

  • @ohmygameplay yeah, but if i saw some homey on the street wearing these i'd have to throw him props

  • do they leak

  • @RAVENS640

Yes the leak glorious music into your ears

  • Ah I found a new project for my old broken Pioneer 1000's I can glue 2 freaking Infinity speakers with 12 inch woofers in them to the good spots and call them the best headphones ever. Competition never ends and eventually gets absurd.

  • Is this real

  • The Hedphones are the biggest hit i ever seen Guy!

  • the most uncomftereble headphones possibly made

  • Beats suck if you want a awesome pair of headphones get the v moda lp's trust me

  • @killzone2038 Whey are we even having this discussion here? The beats by dre should have been left at the door ages ago. They should not even be near here.

People can argue about whether the K1k is awesome or dated, is beaten by HD800/T1 and so on, but really, Beats? Get out. Leave.

  • @aeriescannonfodder - you said it brother

  • Truly out of the head listening experience, shitty design.

  • lol its pretty much two speakers just hangin from a headband

  • @ReallyReece Ikr?

  • @sergiosergio13 seriously whats the point of the headphones if everyone hears what your listening too everytime you play a song

  • @ReallyReece When there aren't any people around you? They don't leak that much anyhow.

  • @ReallyReece If your only reason for using headphones is to not bother the other passengers on the bus, you're missing the point of good headphones.

  • @ReallyReece - seriously what's the point arguing with someone who thinks their headphones must seal out the worlds ability to hear what music they are playing while riding on a public bus

  • that. would leak. like crazy.

  • @tomuchfrootloops they're for home use

  • Beats are comfortable, stylish, and they sound great. Those headphones are weird, they don't look comfortable, and they release sound everywhere by the looks of it. If you like sound try beats on and focus on the noises in the back that you don't really here, focus everything on the beat, and the beats really bring that out. Tell me after you do that, trust me, it'll be so amazing that you'll take back what you said about what you said. If not you must not care much about sound but music itself.

  • @TheNLRL Wow, this confirms all the stereotypes I had about Beats listeners... Have you listened to a pair of Sennheisers or Grados? I've listened to tons and EVERY brand surpasses Beats in EVERY aspect, unless you want to inject bass straight into your brain. Who the hell pays $400 for a pair of Beats headphones anyway??? They're completely aesthetic, but considering you wrote "hear" as "here" I guess you might not understand what I'm getting at.

  • Comment removed

  • beats by dre.....

  • it looks more like 2 microfoons attached to your head

  • then came beats by dre...

  • @TheNLRL Do you seriously think that Beats By Dr Dre is better than these?

  • @TheNLRL which made you overlook better headphones...

  • @TheNLRL Lol Beats are absolute garbage buddy. About 4 times the cost of what they should be. Please listen to other headphones before making any type of conclusions.

  • I won't imagine how it is to listen with them, because it's fuckin' bullshit.

  • Possibly are good sounding, but they're fuck ugly and judging by the shape and the fact they sit on top of your ear, uncomfortable as well.

  • if they payed me, i still wouldn't wear it

  • Oh man... They look pretty stupid. I'd like to hear em though. How much do they go for?

  • shame there ugly

  • How good bass they have? I cant imagine it, because it is fully opened, like speakers without sub.

  • those must leak

  • damn Beats Buy Dre are WAY BETTER!

  • @3lexo You can't say the Beats are way better if you've never heard the K1000's before. The K1000's actually have WAY BETTER bass than the Beats.

  • @3lexo Beats sound like someone is farting in your ears compared to the beautiful sound of these.

  • @3lexo LOL beats are so fucking gay.

  • @3lexo Ugh... what are you? In 3rd grade?? It's not "buy" it's "by" jesus christ it's not a difficult concept. And Beats suck compared to Many other brands.

  • thos things are so ugly they almost made me puke in the thumbnail, no joke!

  • I think someone with these on would look hilarious in a bad way of course

  • These headphones are a relic from the 80's lol

Modern flagships like the Sennheiser HD800 have surpassed them.

  • @cardboardsnail - wrong and wrong - this headphone was manufactures all the way up to about 2005 and will handily compete with the HD800's - The Sennheiser's are great but many high-end headphone listeners would pick the K1000's over it

  • @theaterboyeBay annnnnnd they lose due to no sound cancellation :) gg

  • @theaterboyeBay

You know what else was produced from the 80s to the mid 2000's? Intel's 386.

Having subjectively listened to both the HD800 & the K1000, it would appear that my opinion of the K1000 is consistent with many other people's; the K1000 is outdated. Headfonia also did a review comparing it with other modern flagships.

  • @cardboardsnail Citing your own experience plus one other that happens to be a reviewer in the business of helping to sell the latest headphones available hardly qualifies as many others. There are a large group of more savvy listeners out there that understand the things like ultimate resolution are just a small part of the sonic picture. They prize a truly natural rendering to the music being played back. To them only the K1000 will do.

  • @cardboardsnail The Intel 386 as a comparison was clever but so off the mark when it comes to audio. There are seminal products that will always be prized as they get the whole of music reproduction right. My 1st Video was the Lowther Hegeman speakers made in 1950. They sold for about $700.00 in 1950 and sold used for $23,000.00 in 2010 - Do the have dated technology- Yes - Do the sound more like music then 99% of all the modern speakers using the latest driver tech - Yes again

  • @theaterboyeBay

I won't keep pressing this matter any further.

Audio can be a fickle thing sometimes, and preferences can and do differ from person to person.

Although I my viewpoint about this is still different from yours, I respect your opinion.

  • @cardboardsnail

Don't misunderstand my intent as I respect your opinion as well. You have taken the time to listen to both these headsets while 95% of the folks commenting have never heard HD800 or K1000 - Both are great and with its newer technology the HD800 surpass the K1000 in may ways. I just hope people make the effort to experience these flagship products and form educated opinions on what is best for them - rather then mindlessly regurgitate something they read or heard second hand

  • @theaterboyeBay Well theaterboyebay it would appear that 406 people aren't drinking your kool-aid and are instead listening to their ears. These headphones are ancient and easily surpassed by HD600, HD800, DT880, T1, T5, and many other modern headphones. You can spin and bullshit all you want, but nobody is buying it. Look at your ratings ffs.

  • @Subparanon - Well unless you have personally listened to all the headsets you list and the K1000 you are just the 407th mindless drone pretending to know what you are talking about. Used K1000 - since the are not available new - sell routinely for $1,000.00 - about the same price as a used set of HD800 - so I don't need to spin anything as the market prove the point. Are K1000 the best for everyone - No - But for some nothing else will do

  • @theaterboyeBay Actually I haven't heard the AKG's but I've heard the others and own some of them. You're living in denial if you think the 240likes VS 407 dislikes mean the rest of us agree with you. Best of luck hocking your ancient wares on ebay.

  • @Subparanon

Wow!!! did you write I have never heard the K1000's but have an opinion on how they sound compared to the other headsets I have owned. It will be clear to anyone who can read which one of us in denial. My ancient wares don't need any help to sell as the people buying them typically have a very broad experience with audio gear and are able to form their own opinion on what is best for them. Not simply parroting someone else's opinion they read online or caring about likes & dislikes

  • thats the ugliest piece of shit I've ever seen I'm sticking with my beats

  • Thumbs up if you're listening to this through your AKG 1000 headset!

  • It looks like two metal scrubbing pads held together by Twizzlers. lol

  • I can't take these headphones seriously with that odd look. I want to try them so badly though.

  • im not saying these arent good headphones, i just dont like the design because when i listen to music, i like to be isolated from outside noise, and these dont seem like they would do a very good job of that seeing as how they look like someone attached two speakers to a really basic headband without thinking about noise cancellation

  • @teamHNELSON Noise reduction methods complicates acoustic design principles. Sealed headphones have to deal with reverberation in the cups when tweaking the sound. High-end cans are all open; AKG only took it the the logical extreme.

  • Comment removed

  • @musicxfan64 are you FUCKING SERIOUS?

  • @musicxfan64 no...... just ........ no

  • @xRevivalz, people that want headphones for music, not to rap around your neck.

  • @baseballhockeykid You should have said people like us as there seems to been thousands of folks the marketing guru's have convinced that their headphones will get them a date on Saturday night

  • Comment removed

  • These are like $1000 right?

  • @erikzzzable - Yes they runs around $1,000.00 for a nice used set - They have not been made since 2005 so they can bring almost what they sold for new because of the unique performance the K1000's bring

  • Lol everyone who dislikes this video is showing how ignorant they are.

  • These dont have any style at all. who the fuck would buy this piece of shit?

  • @xRevivalz - who would buy these - the many high-end headphone listeners throughout the world that are knowledgeable of the groundbreaking approach AKG brought to the K1000's - that means not some wannabe slang gangster like you

  • @xRevivalz People who give a shit about great sound.

  • @xRevivalz I would since they're worth listening to. Style is on the bottom of my list. I'm not sure why you would want to put it at the top...you do listen to your headphones, no?

  • What the fuck is this .... the beats headphones is much better than this

  • @Nicolasmatowski31 This video was not posted for the people that are dumb enough to think Beats can or are meant to compete with the AKG K1000's or any other high end headphone - But still you ill-informed drones try. Also why is it that the typical Beats fanboy can not leave a comment without foul language or gender slurs. You think headphones are a fashion statement that raise your social status but are to daft realize your rude comments make you seem moronic

  • @theaterboyeBay Dude...chill ur women boner

  • @xRevivalz read my post to Nicolasmatowski31 as it applies to you perfectly as well

  • @Nicolasmatowski31 - audio writer Stephen Mejias who reviews products for Stereophile Magazine and other high-end audio magazines reviewed the Beats Studio and while he liked them he concludes his review with the fact he purchased a set of Grado SR60 which sell for $79.00 - This would save you more then enough cash to buy whatever shoes some celebrity convinces you will make you a star - since you seem prone to marketing brainwashing techniques

  • and then beats pros came out :D

  • @BANGBANG909yo - If you need a referral to a good hearing specialist I can hook you up - I know you think you know what you are talking about but believe me when I say the Beats Pro did not have any impact on the people who would buy AKG K1000's

  • @theaterboyeBay I can't believe that bangbang dude dared to imply that the beats is even up to standard with the K1000?!

  • I hate this headphone generation we're in. The reason earphones trumped headphones in the 90's was because it was light and portable. Now I see kids with their Skullcandies and Beats and I'm surprised people are willing to pay so much for lame commercially tuned headphones like that. It's so difficult for me to actually find earphones with good dynamics because of all this high bass shit clogging the market.

  • @drumgroovy thats because companies aren't stupid, they listen to the demands and provide with their product, even if headphones weigh a ton just to have a better bass, if its what the consumers want, its what the company provides

  • @caboose22320 If that's what the consumers want, then why do they have to attach Dr. Dre's name to it, have every other pop star wear it and endorse it and market it like crazy? It's not what the consumers want, it's just something they created with an artist and then hype it down every other person's throat until it turned into a thing. For that price, I'd rather get Shure E215s that sound so clear you can actually hear the drummer breathing. Plus, IT'S SHURE.

  • @drumgroovy Amen brother

  • @theaterboyeBay True That! I Cant Even Afored The Beats!

  • @drumgroovy i totally agree

  • @drumgroovy Earphone innovation was supposed to improve bang for buck, and instead drove prices north. Top model earphones are great, but cost so much more than the old price limits.

Too much consumer crap tuned for more loose midbass. Ugh. I don't think I would have ever stumbled onto the road to good sound in today's market.

  • @drumgroovy Dem feelings man.

  • @drumgroovy go with the crappy bose, or the awesome klipsch, sehnheiser, or even what are they called woodys, or some thin like that.

  • @drumgroovy I couldn't say it better.

Okay, i am just 18 years old but i really understand your point. There is just too many headphones on the market that are just garbage! And the marketing for those headphones are scary. People really think that if they spend 300$ on a pair of Beats, they have paid for the best headphones available... Both Beats and Skullcandy are a joke... I don't want to even talk about the 50 cent crap!

  • @h8u4ever I don't think age has anything to do with being an audiophile... so don't bring yourself down lol

  • @drumgroovy i completely agree with you! I have the Samsung earjacks or whatever and they are almost as good as the 300 dollar beats that is out there, you dont pay for the quality anymore, just for the brand. and when i tell the beats people that they just laugh at me and when i let them listen to music through my cheap ass earjacks they just shut up.

  • @MJ4everTheKing Don't you just love it when you get to shut people up? lol

  • @drumgroovy nah your taste in music is old and ur old yourself u talk like my parents

  • @BADboy7ix Well you would be wrong. I listen to contemporary stuff and I listen to every single genre, as unbelievable as it may sound to someone young these days. So this is what hardcore marketing has done... make you believe that 'hip' headphones are in and REAL headphones are for older people? LOL wow talk about retroevolution.

  • i don't understand why people talk about fashion in high end headphones, their not meant to be brought outside to listen to music their meant to be used at a studio/inside, your little ipod/mp3 can only do so little to bring out the performance of high end headphones.

  • looks like it can kill u

  • how many decibels does it go too?

  • @SuperRuckaali - there are many headphones that can out perform the max SPL of the K1000's but with a proper amplifier they can reach the levels of any live music performance

  • @SuperRuckaali The K1000 is spec'ed to 104db. These aren't the loudest cans (see the 130db+ ceiling on Audez'e phones), but that doesn't mean these aren't very good.

  • GET THESE HEADSETS AND YOU CAN LISTEN TO THE BEST QUALITY MUSIC!!

but however at the same time your social life will go down hill.

  • @tobelast3f - Ya because its always your headphones choice that ultimately gets you laid

  • The best headphones in the world and it looks so chinese...

  • agk??? you stoled angry german kid'S HEADPHONE?LOLZ

  • nah if i could rate mine heres how it would go- best to last- denon d7000, plantronics nexgen gamer, sennheiser, the maybe beats detox

  • trash

  • i cant tell if its funny.

  • i watched this video with the best headphones ever but not that one

  • maybe the sound is great but they look ugly as hell.

  • they look stupid aff

  • but there soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo ugly

  • Maybe in there day these were the bomb and i'm sure there better than 99.99% of the headphones made today. However, that was before the days of electrostatic headphones. Some of which use vacuum tube amps and 99.9999% Oxygen Free Copper Wire. Like the Sennheiser Orpheus HE 90 headphones for example. To bad they only made 300 sets. O well guess everyone else fights for 2nd best. Sennheiser = #1

  • @Sypher117 your about the 10th person to make this argument but are not accurate. Electrostatic headphones have been around many years before the K1000's were designed so in relative terms they are the older technology. If I add a very high end tube headphone amp to the K1000's they handily compete with the Orpheus and many highend listeners would pick them over the Sennheiser set .You took the easy way and picked the most expensive set you have heard of and likely not actually heard

  • What a bad claim and in 2012... Sigh, with headphones like the HD800 and many others arround.

  • @crapzors - as I have said before the HD800 are great and currently made - but there are many highend headphone lovers that would pick the K1000's over them to this day. A set of used HD800 sells for about the same prices as a used set of K1000's - around $1,000.00 so I will let the market speak for the AKG's

  • looks comfortable as fuck

  • @TheSmallfang - I am always surprised when someone is sarcastic about the comfort they perceive the AKG K1000's have. They are far more comfortable than typical full size headphone that cover your whole ear and better then on ear types as well - K1000's have a soft leather top strap and two small glove leather covered pads that contact your head just above your ears - much more comfortable then fully enclosed designs and they do not hold in moisture when you sweat

  • i dont care if they sound good those look like toys...

  • why so many dislikes? cant handle the fact that your beats are a total piece of utter useless overmarketed bullshit?

  • @techfanatix Or maybe becuase nobody wants to wear big bulky ugly ass headphones from the Jurassic period?

  • amm what will you recomend for a heavy metalist if i could say it like that, that want thewm for portable over ear under 150$ please u will help alot i also am a sunscriber u have deep thoughts upon music i like it

  • i can take a joke..funny..

  • they dont even.. cup around the ears they look like fricken wash clothes atatched to plastic. serisly theaterboyebay your fucking retarted go try some beats or bose instead of these fucking terrible headphones you little pussy ass fagget.

  • @ej15dude - another comment form a true mental giant with a mastery of the English language - who also does not know a thing about high end headphones.

  • @theaterboyeBay another fag creating a video about headphones that are too overpriced and don't even fit any human's head. and a mental giant? kid your retarted what is your mom helping you write this stuff down?

  • @ej15dude - please just keep on posting - you make yourself look more dimwitted with each response

  • @theaterboyeBay hey and remember your like/dislike bar. im not the only one who thinks your a retard in fact more people think that you are so go eat a cheese burger and choke on a cow dick.

  • @ej15dude - great points again - you are really showing me. The dislike bar proves there are many mindless sheep posing as humans - like yourself - who buy into marketing hype without any true knowledge of good audio and what is great audio.

  • @ej15dude You don't seem to know anything about sound science. Piss off, it's for the best.

  • @ej15dude beats? bose? are you in special-education? those two are very very low end. AKG, on the other hand, is typically a very very high-end brand. Don't diss something you know dog-s*** about.

  • If interested in selling i like collecting old relics.. i may be willing to pay as high as $60.. let me know if interested..

  • @pitbullhinson - these old relics added up sell for more then the house you live in - so I think I will pass on you offer

  • "component of the year 1991" yeah, 21 year old headphones are the best guys

  • @horsetranq13 - As mentioned before, the component of the year award was given when the K1000's were first introduced - they were made up until 2005 and yes they are still one of a select few headphones many consider the best available.

  • ahahahahahahahahahah. my HD595's are crying in your honour.

  • Headspeakers* lool

  • @hondaguy0556

You could buy them if you wanted hi-fi but live in a setting where typical hi-fi equipment would never get used to their fullest for whatever reason.

So, instead, you buy a pair of phones like these and a good headphone amp to drive them properly in lieu of premium loudspeakers and a quality amplifier.

  • These r frekin $1000 on eBay. Frekin discontinued

  • @airsoftpeople101 - yes nice sets bring about $1,000.00 used

  • Guys, its supposed to be a joke!!!!

  • @PetersFXfilms - the only joke is you have so little knowledge of high end headphones - that you have not heard of the K1000

  • @PetersFXfilms Wow, that was so funny I forgot to laugh. Nice try, bud.

  • If you are in a studio and mention Beats by Dre... just get out.

  • @themarcosaguila1

Oh, you can mention Beats headphones in a studio. Just make sure that it's in the form of a joke.

  • Beats Suck, Skullcandy Sucks, and Bose is okay. Sennheiser HD 800 is the best headphones in the world not these

  • @rogman1000 - And you know this how - Do you own both a set of K1000's and HD800 - or are you just talking out of your ass

  • @theaterboyeBay Looks like someone hasn't clearly done their research
