Had to by the new DVD ALMA COGAN ON TV after seeing this almost 3 hours of Alma and guests from 1960 its on Odeon and a terrific Dvd so nostalgic from ATV studios.

Alma's voice was a precision weapon, and she certainly knew how to use it to full effect.

Bassey likes to think that she's the tops, but she'll only ever be a poor imitation of this truly incredible one-off talent. I suppose it is always the case that the brightest stars always burn out the quickest.

Ya i remember being able to stay up on sun night to watch some entertainment show,and invariably Alma was on it,i think in later years Dusty springfield nicked some of her frocks,,lol,but there is only one Alma

It is very hard to comprehend the height that Alma Cogan's star reached. A voice that was unique, countless stage gowns, and an amazing ability to connect to her audience,on stage or television. She had such an amazing career, yet it seems weired that when her star was at it's zenith, she was still a "girl". I would bet that were she alive today (not taken from the world at a ridiculous age), she would still, like Shirley Bassey, be beltin'em out like the trooper she was.Bless her heart.

Nice to see Alma Cogan again I was 5 when she died remember the voice but great to see her in action on old tv shows pity these are not on dvd although one has come out which is ok, but could have had more tv performances on.
