Any way thanks for such a fantastic clear sound. keep it up.

  • This is not Jim Reeves it is Engelbert Humperdinck

I like the song and heard Engelburt sing it on TV when it was first aired.

  • this is engelburt singin my friend

  • i have this song on cd, an exact copy.

    and its by jim reeves.

  • Same you titled this wrong, please change it - It is not Jim Reeves!!!!!

No one sounds like Engelbert!! He and this song are wonderful.

  • This is Engelbert Humperdinck!!!!! I've listened to him sing this song many times, and listened to this recording 1000s of times. Ray Price recorded Please Release me. I can't find anything definite about Jim Reeves ever recording it. This was recorded when Engelbert first began, and actually was the springboard to his 45 year (and ongoing) career. Am 100%, absolutely no doubt, positive that this is Engelbert Humperdinck!!!!

  • THAT A BEAUITFUL SONG ENGELBERT DOES WONDERFUL JOB SINGING IT.

  • As others have written, this is not Jim Reeves, just listen to some of his songs and you can tell.

  • This is sooo Englebert...!!

  • Well, actually it IS Jim Reeves. My parents are his big fans since the very beginnings of his career, and they say it is his voice and originally his song. Humperdinck is just a poor copycat.

  • @stress021 Nah, I search'd on Wiki and I didn't find anything on Jim Reeves doing this song. So this must be Engel Humper..

  • @stress021 This is definitely ENGLEBERT it was his debut at the London Palladium Jim never recorded Release Me it's not JIMS' Baritone voice

  • @stress021 Please listen to the songs by Jim Reeves that your parents have. Jim Reeves never recorded it. If you can find it, then please post it for the rest of us. He was a great singer, but I'm a major Engelbert fan, and would know his voice anywhere. Ray Price, Eddy Arnold, Elvis and Engelbert all recorded it, and maybe some others, but Engelbert's version is the best known, and this is Engelbert's original recording.

  • Imposter !!

  • This sounds ain't Jim Reeves..

  • this is not Jim reeves!!!!

  • Comment removed

  • Hello Jim's fans, This is one song that was never included in Jim's reprotoire. If indeed you find it all of Nashville would like to know. Englebert Humperdink, was a great singer, but reaching Jim's heights was just not in the cards. Bye for now......................jack

  • Please give us "Release Me" by Jim Reeves

  • This is not Jim Reeves but Engelbert Huperdinck

  • JIm Reeves this ain't.
