  • how did u get -1/7

  • I am a little confused, can you please explain a little more. When adding the 9 to both sides, how is 9 the same as 27/3?

  • @NYC2261 The integer 9 is the same as the fraction 9/1. If you multiply the numerator and denominator by 3, you'll get 27/3:

    9 = 9/1 = 9x3 / 1x3 = 27/3

  • Make another video of the first 3 minutes. Im still confused...far out.

  • wow i really was bad at math but now im starting to get the hang of it thank you

  • @stevenb1017 Awesome - glad to hear it!

  • Yay! Mathletics makes no sense without your videos :S :D

  • yay i get it ! lol :D thank u

  • wow I can not beleive that I have a better time understanding how to find the equation of a parallel line and perpindicular line here then from my math teacher who constantly scolds me for asking a question the next day because I did not understand the first time around.

  • nice video bro

  • good video but can u pleasssseee work out the whole problem......its hard to do it just in my head..........

  • Hey do this!!!!!

    Think of a number 1-10

    add 4

    subtract 2

    add 10

    subtract 1

now subtract it by the number you thought of

the number you have now is 11:) ( if you dont that means you cant do math)

  • THANK YOU 99999999999999999999 ect. TIMES!!!!!!

  • if you are looking for a parallel equation, shouldn't the slope be 7 not -1/7. perpendicular should be -1/7 right?

  • How is 2 the same as 6/3 ???

and how is nine the same as 27/3???

  • @MissKayleeHayden 6/3 means 6 divided by 3, which is 2. 27 divided by 3 equals 9.

  • thank yoouuu...!! you helped me very much... :D great video!!

  • WAHOOOOOOOOOO I Wont fail math now, Thank You!

  • thank you so much I was doing completly wrong. your video helped so much!!

  • thank you so much I was doing completly wrong. your videos helped so much!!

  • where the heck did you get -1/7 from? You lost me right at the start.

  • @guitaryoder1 he had to flip and make it a negative so the answer was -1/7

  • why cant my teacher be this simplistic

  • Thank you so much you are great.

  • @1986Rachelle You are welcome - glad to help!

  • Bella22Maria- two lines are perpendicular if their slopes are negative reciprocals. Since the slope is -9, change the sign & replace 9 with its reciprocal (1/9).

  • ok so -9x..why does it become 1/9 ?

  • god thank you so much im in algebra honors class freshman year and my teacher shes awesome and all but i didnt understand anything she explained about this and since there was this blizzard here in chicago i couldnt ask her after school so she left me this worksheet, but thanks to this video i understand it now i LUV U GUYS U SAVED MY BUTT

  • Question. What if you are trying to find the parallel equation to something like

    y = x + 4. This is confusing me greatly, I would appreciate an answer :)

  • @MIKENIKEDOG y= x+5 would be parallel

  • Comment removed

  • this was so helpful!

  • if you had 22/1 it would be -1/22 but what would be negative the numerator or the denominator please explain whoever is out there.

  • @rickster326 It's a good idea to treat the numerator as the negative number.

  • @georgewoodbury y-2= -1/3x+ 5/3 → y= -1/3x + 11/3 how did you get the 11?

  • Do you do calculus videos as well??? :P

  • This Helped Alot Thanks =)

  • thank you sir

  • what would be perpendicular to y=4x-2 and passes through (-8,2)

  • this doesnt really help me. all i see is answers popping up and you somewhat explaining how u got them. thanks. -_-

  • helps a lot , thanks

  • this really helps thanks so much!

  • would u always put a '1' over the number where the 9 is?

  • @MercMaster101 The slope is -9, which is also -9/1.

The negative reciprocal of -9/1 is 1/9.

    Is that what you meant?

  • @georgewoodbury

not really, for exp. if the slope was 22, would you still put a 1 over it?

  • @MercMaster101 Right. A slope of 22 is really 22/1. If we want the perpendicular slope, that is -1/22.

  • Omg till now i didnt understand graphs but with the video i am so much more confident!

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH. It`s our exams tomorrow and I`m so worried. This really helped me A LOT. Thanks. XD

  • You're welcome. I'm putting together more videos - if you ever have a question or topic just drop me a line.

    George

  • Brillaint

  • Thanks!

  • thanks! :]

  • You're welcome. If there are any other topics you'd like to see, just drop me a line.

    George

  • i'm still a little confused on the perpendicular pats but i'm confident on the parallels T_T thanks so much :D
