@crazydoc0k Mainly coz my composing style is different to Ihsahn's. My songs last 10 mins +. Also I don't like sound of keyboards that much. I see it very hard to fit keyboards to music I play. I'm creating same type of fast tremolo picking riffs and very fast chords though. Hopefully I can add in some shredding too (most likely not). Problem is when I do some compositions with guitar pro, I find that none of the keyboards fit on the rest of the music. I'm not virtuoso like Ihsahn.

This is my favorite Emperor song and it's also the first song I ever heard of there's it was on the Century Media Black 1997 Fire starter Compilation CD,it also had Old Man's Child which was my first introduction to that band as well,and have been a fan of both,ever since I even had to special order (The Pagan Prosperity - Old Man's Child CD),they didn't carry bands like that where I live had to order it out of the Century Media Distro Catalog,through my record store.

And I definitely love Isahn's solo stuff so I also want to check out Emperor, but I'm not sure which albums I should start off with. Well, their "classic" albums are the first two: "In The Nightside Eclipse" and "Anthems to the Welkin at Dusk." Those are the albums that pretty much cemented their place in the development of black metal.

But if you like Ihsahn's solo work, I think you'll probably really like Emperor's last album: "Prometheus: The Discipline of Fire and Demise." I got into Emperor through Ihsahn's solo work and 'Prometheus' is my favorite album of theirs.

Do you know Arcturus - La Masquerade infernale? An absolute masterpiece, but the best Norwegian album is Emperor - Anthems to the welkin at dusk in my opinion.
