  • That's a lot of engine. Great vid.

  • You don't even have to set foot outside to get to it. I bet that's a big plus during the winter time

  • how did you even get in ther

  • it was the lead unit on my train. just walked back and what you see is what i shot...

  • @southernpacificfan they are full bodys great for cab room but loud cp is the only railway to buy the SD40-2 full bodys they are the 9000 seires

  • Awesome, the inside of a "Red Barn", these locos are so solid, CPR even used one for a railway crossing safety video, and the 645 really sounds loud

  • i have no clue what u just said, but man, that was loud

  • is really the engine a 645?. The sound of the engine looks to me a 710 engine and not a 645. If this is the case, the locomotive cannot be a SD40-2, isn't it?.

  • it is a 645. 710's kinda chirp.

  • It's definitely a 645E3 engine by the sound of the turbo. It is running in 'reduced idle' mode to conserve fuel, this is a lower RPM than 'normal' idle or Notch 1 (which is same RPM on the 645E3).

  • Its a 645 at low idle. 710's at low idle chirp. More like a Ying--Ying--Ying. These go wing-wing-wing

  • @teles333 actually there are two locomotives sharing a similar body EMD produced; the SD40-2F and the F59PH. CP had the SD40-2F while GO had the F59Ph. Therefore if it's a full body and it's in the CPR, it has a 645 and is a SD40-2F.

  • don't like the 9000's ...hand brake is inside the engine compartment...sucks...

  • Mmm, Could be.

  • Mmm, 9020.
