McCain picked Palin not because he thought she would be a good VP. Rather, he chose her because she would have been a "first". Obama would be the first black president, so McCain needed someone to make history also. I really think his choice for VP cost him the presidency. I supported McCain but NOT Palin. Its sad because he had a chance up until the point he chose his VP.
