Make it shorter, wider. Less stress per linear inch of top bar comb attachement. I now use a 1x10 to make the entire hives. 1x10 sides, 10" tall. 20" long bars.
Sorry for your loss. same thing happened to me few years ago. One of the reason I left TBH behind. Apparentlly it happens if you check the hive when is too hot and the combs are young and white and whit lot of honey. Do you have a website?
What design mod would you suggest for TBH in hot weather? I'm where it gets 105F regularly in the summer.

Well hell, this hive took another beating. Fatal, this time. The river flooded and swept away this hive. Gone. RIP.

Found the hive this week. It floated and was caught in a jammed tree. Reusable, even found 1/2 the top bars. No bees, however.

No website.
But the hive is laying eggs again and should recover with the fall honeyflow.

There is some comb being rebuilt, and I saw eggs in it! So it looks like this hive may live. Woohoo!
