As a gymnast and martial artist....I have conflicted thoughts about this group. On my gymnast/free runner side, I think everything they do is totally cool and BA. On my martial artists side, they seem to totally miss the point of martial arts. Self defense, humility, respect, and the tradition of that art. I know it's "XMA" and not traditional-styles, but I'm assuming it derives from it. Nothing that they show looks useful for self defense. And, clearly, they aren't really being "low key". /500

@ZacStephenson1 maybe try to find a martial arts school that has a XMA progam would be a start. A LOT of what Ryouko does is called tricking ( the big arial spins and kicks) which really isn't something that any school devotes soley to teaching, but XMA covers some of it.

I can say its not ninjutsu for sure. It looks like a combination of lot of things. The root is problely some kind of kung fu. But again its hard to tell because there is a lot of difference kind of kung fu.

@TheVaginaKiller- no. Its not because of a "fucking crap trainer" its because the other 3/4 is acrobatics, which not all martial art schools teach because its just gymnastics. Im a 3rd degree black belt in TKD and i too can only do about 1/4 of what they do, maybe a little more. I mean a 1:35, the guy is just breakdancing. It all depends on the art you want to learn. some will teach you acrobatics cause it is involved with the art but others wont cause its necessary to learn it.
