  • thank you

  • Reminds of the Opeth concert I saw in montpellier... so metaaal... great song too, just so perfect to open up with...great choice !

  • still waiting for the beginning of "When" ^.^

  • @holzfallen its an amazing band from sweden, the death growls and stuff may not be for you, so listen to say..windowpane, in my time of need, folklore, haxprocess, nepenthe, to bid you farewell, porcelain heart. Just to name a few. Blackwater park is one thats amazing. Demon of the fall, just check em out lol.

  • Look 4 "Ubiquitous Mr. Lovegrove - Dead Can Dance" - a great song from this French band

  • what is an 'opeth'?

  • @reytopa no tengo ningún problema ajajajjajajaja tranquilo! Además en cierta parte puedo tener razón ajajajaja

  • Who cares about opeth??? this is POPOL VUH!!!!

  • Hmm, was expecting the choral music with all the corpses, but this is something else!

  • GREAT TUNE

  • mysthique!!!!!!!!!!

  • to see the Book of Revelations

of the Popol Vuh as a feature-length film, google:

    THE MYTH OF TIME

  • Thanks for posting this! Nice surprise to come across it here.

I listened to this album until one of my neighbors knocked on my door to complain, not that I was playing it too loud, but too often.

  • popul vhu is the shjet

  • It's the main title theme!

  • *tsss tsss tsss tsss*

    GHOSSSSTTTTT OFFFF PERDITION!!!!!!

  • I love Opeth, but I'd take Popol Vuh over Opeth any day. I think Mikael would agree with me.

  • This is a great and atmospheric song! I enjoy Popol Vuh, especially their scores for Werner Herzog's earlier films like "Aguirre."

  • Anyone who thinks Opeth suck are obviously moronic, they're technical and musical skill is insanely good, however, Popol Vuh are also musically brilliant. AND they're two completely different genres and styles of music so why you're all arguing over who's better i have no idea, now be quiet and enjoy the track

  • @TheBren93 Well, you see, Opeth covered part of this song in a 2003 concert film entitled "Lamentations."

  • a lot of the music (like this track) on the Nosferatu soundtrack is not used in the film. It could do with a re-release including pieces of music such as Wagner's das Rheingold

  • fantastic movie, best vampire film Ive ever seen, best remake probably too

  • why does it say a film by werner herzog in the poster? was there a remake

  • This is not a song from Nosferatu. This is "Kleine Krieger", a song of 1974 from album "Einsjager & Siebenjager"

  • The 'riff' sounds similar the one featured at the second part of "Echoes" by Pink Floyd.

  • Opeth sucks big balls compared to the cosmic wonder and might of Popol Vuh!

  • @boethius27 Opeth doesn't suck in any way, pal

  • Less about Opeth, more about Popol Vuh (the obviously superior band!)

  • @GizmoLico lol, u funny

  • @GizmoLico Let's compare two bands that are completely stylistically different and active in mostly different time periods. Makes sense.

Opeth are amazing at what they do, and Popul Vuh were amazing at what THEY did...

    Simple.

  • @GizmoLico Obviously...not

  • Opeth is going to walk in any minute now. Brace yourselves!

  • La canzone dell'inizio dei concerti degli Opeth !!!! Opeth RULES !!!! \m/

  • FUNERAL MIST !!!!!!

  • who or what is opeth?

  • @kosmischesynth Opeth is a Progressive Death Metal band, check them out, they worth it (especially the Damnation album)

  • @kosmischesynth best band evar x)

  • hard

  • Enchantment!

  • opeth!

  • beautiful!

  • beautiful!

  • bellisima !!!! me encanta!

  • WOW!

  • Great music,great movie....

  • at last i found this music !!

    :D

  • whats the name of the song thats at the end of the movie as he rides off on the horse ?

  • Comment removed

  • @meczek

    thanks

  • Popol vuh is the name of the Mayan "Bible", or sacred book.

  • I like it very much. One of the best Fichelscher's riff. Check 'Venus Principle' from the same album. As to Opeth, they also employs Popol Vuh's 'Mantra' from that album to open one of the two parts of their Lamentation concert.

  • envoutant, magique du grand popl vuh, a ecouter la nuit..... un grand classsique du fantastique avec la version de murnau dément!!!!

  • Hahaha, so the only interesting moment of Maranatha is a cover.

    Funny.

  • This is a bit... jazzy/oriental/hillbilly for a horror film don't you think?

  • OPETH!!!

  • hahaha, yeah! they start their shows with this! EPIC

  • Funeral Mist!

  • Funeral Mist!

  • where can one find the music which plays through out the opening with Adjani? in the city. that piece doesnt seem to be on the soundtrack. but it's my favorite

  • This music had such a great soundtrack. Thanx for posting some of it here.

  • no band has a more killer opening soundtrack than opeth. just watched this movie, too. sooo great.

  • OPETH!

  • Anybody know what instrument is being used at 2:06?

  • Great, but i have been looking for the soundtrack wich plays in the middle of the movie : Sanctus(Gounod),i found the original version of the track but didn't like it,i want the version as performed in the movie,DAMN!!

  • Pure melancholic bliss ♫☻♫

  • it reminds me the motherfucking awaiting moments in an opeth concert here in greece...man...it s SO dark and fucking gr8...i almost expect demon of the fall to enter (like in athens) or when (roundhouse tapes....) OPETH

  • Nice! Opeth opens up with this song!

  • Yeah. I just happened to stumble across the title on the Internet by dumb luck, so I tracked the song down and downloaded it.

  • Also, in a well-known photo of Opeth, Mikael's wearing a shirt with that Nosferatu picture on it.

  • Hes also often wearing a shirt with Conan on it xD

  • @zeppelin8 Funeral Mist also has this sample in the end of the song "Jesus Saves!"

  • This is an incredible album. And this isn't the best song...find it, buy it, turn off the lights, burn a log of incense.......go away with Popul Vuh.
