This movie actually made me cry! And i might not be African American but they would consider me as black and I well be prude of that! GOD BLESS YOU HARRIET TUBMAN !! I Know no one in this Century who is as brave as you!
She was a Scout, Spy, and Nurse for the Union Army, she actually commanded troops during the Camberhee Raid, sadly after the war she became nothing more then a ghost, as the nation focused more on reconcilation between North and SOuth and the "Lost Cause" became the dominate view of the war, she died alone and forgotten except by those who she freed and the soldiers whose lives she helped save as a Nurse
this was helpful on my homework....but i think its a bit racist for a black teacher to give a white student this for homework dont all of you think????
@steveramirez15 no, it's not racist shes talking about what harriet tubman did, it's not like shes saying fuck the whites, i'm going to hang them! And plus, doesn't all teachers of the team give the same hw
@steveramirez15 no i don't think so and also black people suffered a lot for no reason your being racist for saying that and there is hardly any black teaChers
this was my favorite of all of the movies........ for 5th grade, i played harriet tubman. man was she good! im going to watch helen keller now!!!!!!!!!!!
I love Harriet Tubman soooooooooo much! I did a project for her and all the facts in this movie are true. Harriet is a amazing woman and leader I believe she is the greatest woman ever lived! :-) GO HARRIET TUMAN!!
thats right im half wihte and half black if i was back there i would be an abolishonist so do not tell me im white or a negro both are affesive to me i amMilticutral
My family owns this and most of the other vids. They are great! I want to learn more about Harriet Tubman's espionage during the war. It may well be something that is overlooked and underrated by the anti-war whores.
I read a book on her this isnt really accurate thow because they started arresting slaves in the south so Harriet had to take them all the way to Canada now talk about that.
Harriet Tubman put her life on the line, you would have to be that brave to do that.See Harriet Tubman did not have to do it but she wanted to save her family fom slavery thats why l love H.T. so much if it was MartinLutherKingJr,RosaParks, and HarrietTubman we would still be in slavery and segregation so for BLACK HISTORY MONTH i'm doing all three all i got to say is R.I.P MartinLutherKingJr,R.I.P RosaParks, and R.I.P HarrietTubman
I LOVED ALL OF THESE HARRIET CLIPS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this is one of my favorite stories HARRIET WAS A TRUE HERO just like the rest of our black history heros. i luv you harriet
i am really touch by harriet tubmans story it always brings me to tears a strong black woman with so much faith prays be to God Thank you for sharing this
Quite right! Seens We still need people to realize that humans are really all the same reguardless of superfical details. We all are people and We must help each other to see this truth, reguardless of looks or religion or sexual orientation. People like her are very rare. Human society is always in paril, so act to free all people!
Wow im really glad someone made this video and that NatureLover987 posted it!!! Ive seen it before but not in a while! I was crying the whole time!!! Gosh i am so thankful its not like that anymore!! The human race still has a while to go until prejudice (sp) dies down to a small flame, and then hopefully burns out, but we're getting there =) ... when i say the human race still has a while to go it goes for every sex and race, not just for caucasion males.
But they're still mean all the more because they don't give them good stuff. And slavery was one of the reasons why the Civil War broke out. The Union that time was especially against slavery. Those southerners deserve a taste of my wrath and the Union's wrath.
Darn those slave employers. They're really mean. But my teacher said that we have to base history according to its own time. So therefore, even though we will read these slaves' lives, we will even cry, but that time, people really needed slaves. But I still don't agree with these people being so cruel to these innocent blacks.
Oh i think I'm going to cru

I can't even imagine what it was like to be a slave back then. It must have been very rough.
She took many very high risk moves but in the end she was successful at everything she sought out to do. The world needs more people like her.
RIP Harriet Tubman.
