I played this a while ago, and everyone agreed that the tempo is perfect for the strings. I play the oboe, however, and tonguing sixteenth notes that fast isn't easy... But it's a fantastic piece, and the oboe solo is SO fun :)

Amazing. Just Amazing. I love everything about it. Especially the tempo.

As a high school student, I wish I could play things of this magnitude. We are playing a marching band version of this, from a show named "Conversations with Copland." Of course, Hoedown is included. I DO wish some parts would have been kept, but then again, it's probably hard to march them.
