  • Mr. Riechenbach is an amazing player but Jesus he is getting old. I hope I can keep playing that long.

  • what a great sound

  • It takes a LOT of skill to play these things. I know that for a fact, lol.

  • Is it me, or dose this guys upper/mid range sound airy? I mean, i'm not trying to be one of those retarted flamers, i'm just wondering if its him or if its my bad speakers or the general tendancey of the instrument, I play tuba, so pardon me if i'm wrong.

  • Is he circular breathing?

  • Good ol' Bill ain't so young anymore. Still is amazing though

  • it's not long enough :[

  • check out dutch bass trombone open 2008

  • how do you get that good of a tone with a bass bone, i play in my school's jazz band

  • its easy man!!

  • Bob, Goggle Bill Reichenbach and you will find that he is a 1st call studio musician and extremely accomplished at playing the trombone. If you find the video called Trombone Institute of Technology on here, or any of the other tunes from the Bone Town cd, that is him playing the bass Part. Believe me, the sound you hear is the sound he wants you to hear. I have heard him hit an F at the top of the treble clef staff.

  • heheh... goggle...

  • wow your an idiot dude.

  • This guy is great I recently had a trombone clinic with him and Michael Davis they are amazing trombone players and I even got to play a song with them which was amazing just to be up there playing with them.

  • I played in a group with Bill back in the 70s when he was a student at Eastman School. this "old man" that you are talking about does all the soundtracks for a huge movie studio and lives in the Hollywood Hills..not bad for an "old Man' and I remember with great fondness the ability we had to play in a group together as two trombones.....

  • ...annnnnnd he recorded with Weird Al!

  • Getting old?

Dude, respect those who've accomplished what they have. This guy has paid his dues... and I think he deserves a little bit more respect that "Nice horn, old man."

Check out, oh, I don't know, any studio recording that's ever used bass trombone? Any major film score? Yeah - that was this guy. Think of him as the Alex Iles of Bass Trombone. These two are the top of the list first call players in LA.

    Peace.

  • In fact, from the 70's onward, this guy and George Roberts are on most soundtracks, playing the bass trombone chair. I mean, these guys were playing professionnaly and most of us weren't even born.

Mr. Reichenbach is a 1st liner, no doubt about it.

  • don't forget phil teele

  • Bass 'bone ROCKS

  • that doesnt seem much lower than tennor but oh will this is cool

  • Is that UT that he's playing at?

  • not yet, Im working on it.

  • This is great! I've been looking for Bill Reichenbach videos everywhere. Is the any more of this video? Please post it and others!
