  • I loved this guy in The Crow

  • I thought he was great in Congo.

  • Jesus Fuck! This is a really depressing interview dude! What the fuck is with you!?

  • he looks more like he's in his 30s or early 40s

  • BTW: he looks good for being 65 and the video game is insanely good. It's like another movie.

  • I heard that Ernie hudson came to ghostbusters late and wanted a part so they were all like yeah 4 sounds better than 3 ghostbusters.

  • there is a GOOD Ghostbusters nintendo game, unlike the other shitty ones, with all 4 characters called ''New Ghostbusters - 2''.

  • "I've been bless, I've had everything I ever wanted." That's awesome. Go Ernie!

  • hes cool he also does the voice of one of the seargents in modern warfare 2

  • Ernie Hudson is FTW

  • In the original script, Winston was in the movie from the beginning. The character was intended to be played by Eddie Murphy. I guess after he turned it down the studio decided to cut his part in half. I don't know why. It still would've worked.

  • True. But he still had the best line,

"I have seen shit that would turn you white!"

  • Screw the movie poster. It was an affront to leave him out. Ernie Hudson was in the 1984 Ghostbusters music video at least.

  • im so pissed off the damn games been cancelled

  • he deserves to be in that poster :(

  • Damn shame he got the shaft so many times.

  • Holy shit hes 63! damn he pretty much looks the same.

  • This guy was cast to be Mr.Popo in the live action version of Dragonball.

  • Ernie Hudson is God!!

  • lol, AVGN is mentioned

  • Ernie Hudson was great in The Substitute as Claude Rolle, the doomed principal who was the leader of the gang at his Miami High School.

  • Earnie's the man. He goes to all the conventions, and he's always real nice, and quite simply awesome.

  • Ernie is awesome, but the weird Make-a-wish question was just a downer. Jesus Christ.

  • earnie's a great guy

  • LOL I bet that kid wanted the wish to be something about Ghostbusters or something

Ernie seems like a cool dude, I never had a problem with him being gone from the movie poster, I know from when I was a kid that I always pictured all 4 together, but Ernie is right, he wasn't an essential character until the second half of the film. Egon, Ray and Peter were long time friends/accomplices prior to doing the ghost thing.

  • I met Ernie once and he was seriously a cool dude.

Looks pretty damn good for 62!

  • Ernie is 62!? Damn I never would have guessed he was that old. He looks great.

  • I thought he was 50 looking 45!

  • Winston was in Ghostbusters II on Gameboy and New Ghostbusters II on NES in Europe, which were pretty much the only 2 good GB games we got back then.

  • Did you meet him when he was touring for his Jake movie? I met him back in October as well and he also mentioned the Ghostbusters thing. After his depressing story tho I didn't want to be "that guy" and ask him about Ghostbusters 3, altho I wish I had now cuz of all this game buzz going on.

  • He was at a convention.

  • Ernie is awesome! I met him at Horrorfind in Hunt Valley, MD back in August - and he was one of the coolest dudes I have ever talked to. I was ALWAYS a big fan of the Ghostbusters franchise since I was little, so getting to actually MEET a Ghostbuster was freakin awesome :) And for a man who is 62 years old...he looks like he's in his early 40's!

    Rock on, Ernie!

  • Finally, Ernie gets vindication from vivindi. Vindication for carl johnson too.

  • he has such a good disposition on studio politics. it sucks that he got the raw end of the deal, but hes stll the fucking man.

  • It's a shame that things turned a little sour working on Ghostbusters, but its nice to see he has put it behind him to do the video game. Fans should check out his grest performance on the OZ.

  • AVGN WAS MENTIONED AWESOME!

  • yeh i mean holy shit a standard guy with the funnyist stuff i ever heard being said in front of a movie star!

  • Woah, he's such a nice guy. That's aweosme, after seeing so many pissy actors, I guess I've kinda been expecting them all to be that way. :)

  • The Angry Video Game Nerd was mentioned!!!

  • He does look great, there's maybe the look of a years difference between this and his Ghostbusters days.

  • Ernie Hudson is such a nice guy. I met him 3 years ago, and he looks virtually unchanged from his GB days.

But he is a really friendly, really good humored guy. I was so pleased to meet someone as cool and down to earth as him.

  • Sure he's the black guy but really it came down to a few things. The three guys who started the business. The three established well known comedic actors at the time. That's really all it is. He was hired halfway through the movie and it is what it is.The character really took on an equal life of it's own in the Real Ghostbusters cartoon though fortunately. Ghostbusters 2 he got a little more but really in the first half, its the 3 guys or the scientists investigating etc.

  • I completely agree with you. I always felt Winston's character was the sort of "average joe" the viewer could relate to when watching the movie. He didn't have a lot of personality in the film though the cartoon rendition of the character really made him feel honorable and brave.

That aside, it still doesn't make sense to remove him from the first poster and games. Then again, there was a Ghostbusters game on the NES that included him as well as Louis.

  • As much as I love Ernie Hudson and he's a great guy, it just sucks for him to be confronted with the non-existent "Racism" in Ghostbusters. I'm sure he's always been getting it. Asked why he's not included.

  • Its still pretty unfair IMO

  • cool guy

  • Awsome. I'll have to check the new video game out.

  • Damn, he looks young.

  • This was a great interview! Where did this take place?

  • "This was a great interview! Where did this take place?"

--> Ghent, Belgium (as said on the intro screen)

  • Imagine if Martin Luther King Jr. felt that way. Don't get worked up, just have a good time. Yeah.

  • the best Ghostbuster.

  • go go Julian ! and go go Ernie ! It's a shame he hasn't been given more credit. It was mighty cool to see him on FACTS in Ghent this October !

  • damn, he is one cool cat yo. dig it

  • I like his views on racism. I never really thought about it like that before.

  • AVGN watched this!

  • LOL they mentioned AVGN.

  • angry video game rocks! :)

    belgium rocks! :)

  • Cool. We dig you Ernie Hudson!

  • ernie is a really nice guy, i think it was the only one who spontaniously spoke to you on facts 2007, even if you didn't bought an autographed picture like me...

  • I hate that Ernie isn't in the early ghost busters games.. It's like the game makers where fucking rasists or something.. Fucking assholes. AVGN KICKS ASS!! YOOO

  • i know but he was in ghostbusters 2 for the NES.

  • Ernie seems like a nice guy. that was cool.

  • he must of pissed someone off in hollywood, other wise it would have been a race issue.

  • Ernie Hudson is cool. AVGN kicks ass...

  • Ernie is a legend!

  • gratz avgn

  • Too cool. A Ghostbuster, and my best online friend lives in Ghent, in the Dutch speaking region of Belgium. ;)

Too cool he made the AVGN referance and talked about it. This must've been so cool for James. Long live Ernie Hudson. I just bought The Crow and he is great in that as well. GREAT ACTOR ...

    ;)

  • Hudson is awesome. Some day man, James Rolfe will co-star in the next Ghostbusters film, besides un-talented fuckers like Shila LeBouf or any other retarted modern-day young stars

  • hey he was in even stevens lol

  • HI HO NERD!!!!!

  • 5 starred for AVGN reference.

  • Then don't forget to check the "TeeKay / Fan village" clip AND the "All @ FACTS" clip at my video for more AVGN references!

  • lol he looks like 40

  • I salute AVGN! ........ASSSS!

  • Enjoyable interview.

  • The interviewer sounds so much like Janosz from Ghostbusters II lol

  • I do? Well ... is that a compliment?

  • Wow, he has aged very well!

    Long live Ernie Hudson.

  • The only missing questions for this game is:

    -Who is publishing it?

-Is it a all region game?(stupid question really)

-When will they make an worldwide official annoucement?

-And who(company) is developing it?(Last thing I know it was Zootfly)

  • Great interview! I was there sunday and Ernie Hudson is indeed a very nice guy. It's been my greatest wish since I was a child to meet someone from Ghostbusters in real life and that day it finally came true! Looking forward to the videogame!

  • I Think Winston should have as much attention as the other three ghostbusters, after all he is a Ghostbuster and one my favourite Ghostbusters EVER

  • I have that same poster and had been wondering about his conspicuous absence for a long time. It's a sobering thought that the studios still maintained a 'less of the black guy' attitude in my lifetime, even though it was a while back. On a brighter note the GB cartoon series I grew up watching always seemed to give the four characters equal attention, and that I think was a very positive thing in terms of encouraging racial equality for a kid.

  • Stop Ghostbusters 3! Hollywood can do nothing but f- it up!

  • Well, Winston never was as popular as Peter, Egon or Ray were. Not that there's anything wrong about that. I guess he added the final, defining element that the Ghostbusters needed.

  • im going to buy that game the day it comes out

  • bring on Ghostbusters 3

  • Ernie seems like a great guy.

  • Wow Ernie is gonna be 62 He looks fantastic for his age.

  • Ah crap. I accidentally went on Thumbs-Down for this comment. (sorry to go off-topic). IT WAS A GOOD COMMENT! :)

  • Good interview.

  • lol the AVGN is mentioned.

  • Hudson hasn't changed much has he really.

Nice to have him back and with a very well positive responses interview towards the game as well toward the wishing charity too. At least I know the game is still in production. :)

  • I am glad to hear that all the guys will be doing the voices for the video game. There just have been too many video games with bad voice impersonators.

  • Yeah, that was awesome James. Ernie just tells it like it is.

  • Great interview! Ernie played my favorite Ghostbuster, and had the best line in the first film. And just like his character, he's so down-to-earth, you gotta love him.

  • Very good interview, and it was a nice suprise to hear my rants about him being missing from many of the video games, to be addressed to the man himself. Thank you. It made my day.

  • Thanks! Kris Van de Sande did an awesome job directing & editing this and I loved interviewing Mr. Hudson. He's a very friendly guy!

  • ^^ i want to see number 3

  • Yay finally more or less confirmed. Good old Ernie Hudson.

  • Interesting Ghostbusters video game news :-)

  • A Ghostbusters Game would be awesome, especially for the Wii, you could use the Wiimote as the vacuum for sucking ghosts.

  • Lol, that's interesting. Good idea!
