ive had a HDD 500G for 6 years... i use it like HELL with tons of torrents. 1.7bmps connection and i never stop downloading at 900kbps. ... ever. im always deleting and downloading. for 6 years... straight. ive NEVER had a problem. no corrupted files.. no crashes. nothin. ive honestly never experienced any HDD crash with my drive... and it was only 150 bucks back in the day. no too bad. =/ this stuff looks really exciting and i cant wait for the prices to drop ^_^ 1 year baby. itll be all good.
USB is a connection technique --- SSD is a storage technique --- they are unlinked to each other, but USB is known to be very slow, so they will not likely be interested in combining a hyperfast disk with a very slow connector, which would ruin everything. Even USB 3.0 is not really impressive, so go figure.
still not ready for mainstream market at the moment. but in 5 years hhd will probably be a thing of the past with maybe the exception of very large cheap storage drives.
A limited number of read and writes, means they are guaranteed to fail. The more you write and erase from the drive, the sooner it will fail. You could use disposable USB flash drives for internet cache and page file and other temp storage to limit use of drive.
Meaning, their best for people who almost never use their computer, or for a presentation that they maybe only write data to the drive once a year.
The drives are smaller storage, so not yet for computer power users.
the ssd'd i have worked with and heard about fail so easily due to the scencitiverty of the drives unless they are lining them with lead to stop this haha
lead wouldnt stop them it might fuck them up more. adding more weight for it to fall accelerate faster causing a more violent crash. if anything a foam would be more likely. and where do you work with SSD that allows you to use the word scencitiverty?
Does it use SRAM instead of Flash Memory? I know flash memory has a limited number of read and writes which can be chewed up fast if its role is that of the hard drive.
SRAM is a processing memory like L1/2/3 cache ,RAM etc , ,so no ,, , SLC ssds are the best and theyre most expensive , ,8GB SLC SSD = £60 ,32GB MLC SSD = £85 ,, they also have SRAM in them and theyre more durable, , ,
It does not go at the speed of light, but at the speed of electricity, which is about 60% the speed of light.

SSD should be like HDD . I mean by the size of the memory. I need minimum 320 GB to have my games and documents. so Ima stick su HDD.
