don't apologize for using proxies. Money doesn't grow on trees, and i'm actually upset with wotc for milking the cow with this game. I honestly feel they should have stopped when mirage was released. Ice age was fun, and even planeshift is fun, but i just lost interest in magic thanks to the other sets.
When i do take them out now, i play with whatever real cards i have (as old as 16 years) and for those that i don't ahve, i print as realistic looking a proxy as i can.
the video is good but its so easy to lose respect for a video when the maker is begging for subscriptions, whats the big deal with subscriptions are they crack for youtube users?
yes iv heard of elf ball/nade, in fact i spent MANY hours trying to make it work but there is one fundamental isue with the deck. what do u do when ur Heritage Druid gets killed? mono black rogue is sadly far from being competitive.
that leaves me with kithkin, so ur telling me that ur kithkin deck can beat this?
no offense but have u ever played this deck?
its really good against kithkin
if u have some crazy kithkin deck that is supper good id love to take a look at it.
right now im playing kithkin and an elf deck in the works....i dunno if youv heard of "elf grenade"....but yeah im two thirds dosne that deck oh and uh i play my mono black rougue deck at some fnms
sorry polkadotedfish i thought i was responding to dragonmustard2 :)
one thing id like to suggest is that u dont over do the nade, only include 2-1 copies of Roar of the Crowd. i also include 1 copy of Regal Force since he is tutorable.
if ud like to send me a list id love to do an episode on it
Great Video,It looks like a real good deck,Over Look proxy Hate, almost every Build of ours starts out on paper,to proxies, then it it looks like it will run strong we Make the Build even Then there's No Guarantee
Just one thing Why not magus of the moon,& cloudthresher in sideboard?
Well everyone at my FNM has turned GAY & now all you see is Fairy or Merfolk so My Elf deck is getting Smashed in the Face But I need to invest more time than I do & Thank You 4 Linking My site & Info on your Page
every one has to remember what counts as main vs side board while they (thresher/magus) might not be great against all decks so long as their good against more decks than their bad i usually put a card in the main. for example not to long ago fairies decks would have to main deck cards for the mirror match because it was all to common, also most
kithkin decks main deck forgetender's as a defensive strategy. i have done some extensive play testing with the deck and found that thresher/magus help more than they hinder
what is ur fnm playing? and is it merfolk or millfolk?
Mine was mono Green, Then I Splashed Black, Now I'm playing Red/Green BUT I'm Building a Whole New deck, OK No Sorry My Hubby Will Be Building me A Whole New Deck,LOL
and horizon canopy i cant really pull the deck off. also block is coming up so no tenth ether.
with all that takin into account im probably going to try and build ether a kithkin or mono red deck so there is no point in buying any of the cards, but i do have some up ebay and hopefully ill get some even if only for trading
ok so nomore gemstone mine...the deck is mostly green so go with 4 vivid grove tap it you get a green plus its got 3 counters for anycolor mana.....and tenth is here for a while yet
yeah ok makes sence treetop village dosnt give you anycolor you need......like i said vivid lands or maybey even through in some elvish harbingers for for their elf search effect but for their tap and get anycolor mana...boom its a small sarcifice but could work.
i understand what ur saying my point was simply that the current deck doesn't work well with tap lands. if u wanted the green base i would suggest going g/b elves
ill try the harbinger as away to search out my chameleon colossus.
im pretty happy that ur arguing so well for my deck in block
Sulfur elemental isn't really a pyroclasm cause it only effects white creatures.
Also I would think about dropping the battalions. It really isn't that great of a card and if your hand is empty and you topdeck in the late game you are screwed.
I would sideboard the Magus of the Moons and the cloudthreshers and maybe add two Kitchen Finks.
"Sulfur elemental isn't really a pyroclasm cause it only effects white creatures."
thats y i chose it
"Also I would think about dropping the battalions."
every one says that but in play testing i found that i could play him reliably 9/10 games when i top deck him late i usually don't care cuz im about to win and landing one on turn 2 is just sooo good
"I would sideboard the Magus of the Moons and the cloudthreshers" like i told Skwizzles from personal experience iv found that magus hurts my opponents (most of the time) more than me, but since two of u are pushing it ill try to post a slightly different version next time with the threshers and magus's in the board and pyroclasm over the Sulfur elemental.
Magus of the moon- i understand were ur coming from but generally they hurt ur opponents deck much more (swan,fairies,rock/doran,lark,....)
u also can still play stuff through ur 9 green producers(5 lands,4 elves) and the manamorphoses. against kithkin or red decks u simply side them out, but if u feel strongly id sooner cut the mutavaults for 4 more forests
2 Cloudthresher- it like i said ,1, the top of ur curve. 2, its direct damage, 3 there is a ton of synergy with garruk
Seems like a solid deck, I like Magus but redcap easily deals with him, unless Magus is in play I think your deck may have trouble with mass removal decks. You might have trouble with decks that are heavier on burn too. Not sure how it would do in a tournament, but doesn't look bad.
like i said in the vid if they try to remove a magus they end up being taped out which means Chameleon Colossus isn't going to be countered.
the forgetenders are great against the red decks and the mana tithes force them to hold off with there mass removal so im able to hit them hard. (they also are forced to tap out to play a mass removal spell)
as far as competition i would love to play it but unfortanitly i cant. if one of u could play this deck at a torny and post the results that would be great, id even be willing to help u play test each match up.
also i would like to stress the point that if anyone has a deck or an idea they would like to see plz tell me

you would be amazed at how fast he can win...and he mulls till 2 on the play and 1 on the draw....
very funny deck and it the viel of secrecy gives it shroud so if u dont have removal on the spot u at dead
he runs alot of man lands
goundof 3 years ago
nice original deck design =)
goundof 3 years ago

TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago
4 crushers
4 viel of secrecy
goundof 3 years ago
sounds like fun but how many times does he mulligans until he gets the crusher
TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago
also it seems like a simple removal spell and his deck falls apart
TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago
i have no real cards cuz i can go to any tornys (don't get me started), like i said already im sorry about that misunderstanding on my part
do want me to post it on the show or edit for u?
TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago
ahah nono man its cool....but thats aactually a really nice deck...itt would be so pricey though holly.
polkadotedfish 3 years ago
probably around $250 which isn't that much for people who spend $400 on fai when it was hot or buy playsets of standard.

TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago
and thanks for the comments.
also when u say gay do u include the ladies going lesbian? if so count me in
TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago
i may have spelled it wrong LOL I'm great at that, blue merfolk
vampb1tch 3 years ago
mono green? or with the black splash?
TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago
for budget building we have to think a little out side the box
Lignify for example is a great card to take care of their merfolk lords in mono-green
if u wanted to splash blue Ego Erasure is a great counter to Mistbind Clique and a time walk against all their tokens
the black splash is better though
try Krosan Grip or Spring Cleaning to deal with the biterblossoms
TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago

he good?

yeah good points
vampb1tch 3 years ago
are those real cards.....they look small and black and white
polkadotedfish 3 years ago
no there "proxys" or print outs
and there a "lot" cheaper to play with lol
i use them for all of my play testing so that i can wait till im able to get the cards (drafts and trading)
TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago
oh....awsome..
polkadotedfish 3 years ago
just dont bring them to a torny lol
TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago
ahaha yeah forsure...did you end up getting the real cards yet?
polkadotedfish 3 years ago
no i dont have most of the cards since im drafting sse right now and most of the cards are low/mor
im also not really going to spend money on a deck thats not legal in October
TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago
what do you mean?...lorwyn will still be legal by october....its coldsnap and timespiral going out of legality
polkadotedfish 3 years ago
but once i lose the mana base of gemstone mine
and horizon canopy i cant really pull the deck off. also block is coming up so no tenth ether.
with all that takin into account im probably going to try and build ether a kithkin or mono red deck so there is no point in buying any of the cards, but i do have some up ebay and hopefully ill get some even if only for trading

already tried with Treetop Village and found that tap lands kill the tempo of 8 one drops
i also lose a bomb in magus.

part two @ Skwisgaar skwizzles
if ud like a real life example of main decked Cloudthreshers check out Manuel Bucher link in the side bar
3?
4 Sulfur Elemental was chosen over pyroclasm for a few reasons
1 it cant be hated (counters, forgetenders)
2 @ instant speed it becomes a combat trick and messes up their math
3 i doesnt hurt ur creatures
4 its another creature to attack with (garruk)
TheMirrorMatch 3 years ago

Pretty good deck chief.
Critisism:
1.) Magus of the moon - BIG NO-NO. Never run Magus in a tri colored deck because he will screw up your manabase playing him early game.
2.)Cloudthresher - I understand you want to play him against faeries, but hes a sideboard card only. Not everyone plays faeries.
4.)Sulfur Elemental
Skwizzles 3 years ago
dont kinda put the sulfur elemental...its a little silly unless playing eventide boros.
will offer more critisism later =/
